Beyond the Cottage.
Beyond the cottage was very comfortable with plenty of space for the whole family 13 of us.
Had everything we needed and more, It was so well equipped for my granddaughter to my parents.
Welcomed with a delicious home made carrot cake my favourite. We will definitely book again.

Outstanding property for large groups seeking a bit of luxury
We arrived at Shires for our annual pre Christmas friends gathering and were greeted by Gary and gifted a beautiful homemade chocolate cake. He showed us round and then left us to enjoy our weekend making sure we knew how to contact him if needed.
The house and all its facilities is outstanding! The kitchen and dining area was perfect for our large group and lots of convivial chatter. On the Friday we had a winter BBQ using the bbq hut which was fantastic. And we cooked a full “Christmas” dinner on the Saturday evening - the kitchen is so well equipped for large groups. We all congregated in the pool and hot tub as well as in the cinema room or playing pool. So many spaces for a large group and we never felt on top of each other.
Wouldn’t hesitate to book again at Shires or another of the Sleeps 12 properties 🌟

I had a very pleasant stay. The accommodation was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged, with all essential amenities provided. Communication with the host/staff was smooth and professional, and both check-in and check-out were hassle-free. Overall, it was a great value for money, and I would happily stay here again and recommend it to others.

Fantastic house for a large group
Fantastic house for a large group of friends or family. Everything was provided and the house was spotlessly clean. Christmas tree was a lovely surprise. Plenty of information prior from Sleeps12 and this is the third time I’ve used them. Only thing to be aware of is the lane to get to the property is over a mile long and very narrow. Worth the views when you get to the house and especially from the pool room.

The house was exceptional
The house was exceptional! The location, the house itself and the little special touches were just wonderful from the start to the end of our stay.
We had 11 adults staying in the house to celebrate a 50th birthday and could not have wished for a better weekend.

Beautiful house! Clean and had everything to hand! Only one niggle no hand rail in disability toilet/shower room and no handle/seat in that particular shower, but honestly absolutely stunning!!!

Our memorable moments were spending time in the amazing pool and games room was a real highlight and great fun for everyone. We also loved seeing the animals on site, especially the alpacas and pigs, which made the stay extra special. Being so close to Longleat was perfect, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax.
Our overall stay was fantastic from start to finish. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The location was ideal, just 6 minutes from Longleat and around 30 minutes from Bath. Communication with Hesdin and Sleeps 12 was excellent throughout. If we could give more than 5 stars, we would — we would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

An amazing house and hosts that were discrete but always available if needed
Cannot fault the accomadation, it was perfect and really spacious so even at full capacity never felt crowded
Little extras like a home made cake on arrival, additional food for the birds and information about the family just made it so personal
Wording like "please just let us know if something gets broken so we can replace it" ensures that you can just totally relax and not worry if an accident occurs especially if you have children with you
The pool is much bigger that it looks in the photos
Would 100% recommend especially for a group that want to make memories that will last a lifetime

Blushing Barn is Jurston Barn
Sleeps 12 rename properties and then charge 33.5%. Blushing Barn is actually Jurston Barn. The place is amazing but you can imagine our disgust when we looked on the properties website to find it cost £1820 reduced to £1740. However, Booking with Sleeps 12 cost us:

Extras £75.00
Booking Fee £50.00
Total £3,075.00
Paid
I suspect they charge the property as well! Nobody minds paying a booking fee but this amount paid to a third party is disgusting. They also take a £500 security bond paid 2/11/25. It is now 10/12/25 and still not received !

We also wanted to clarify a few points to avoid any confusion.
Blushing Barn is indeed the same property as Jurston Barn — it is listed under a different marketing name, but it is the same house, not a different or re-priced property. We do not charge the owner any additional commission on top of what guests pay; the price you see at the time of booking is the full and final cost.
All pricing on both our website and on Sleeps12 is mirrored exactly. The two systems are directly linked, so when you placed your booking, the price would have been identical on both sites. We do charge a £50 booking fee, which we believe is fair and reasonable given the support and service we provide throughout the booking process.
As with most accommodation providers, prices can vary throughout the year based on demand, seasonality, and promotional offers that may become available closer to the time. That can sometimes mean that lower prices appear later, purely due to market conditions.
Regarding your security deposit, we completely understand how important timely refunds are. We process all security deposit releases on the Wednesday following departure. Once released, the timeframe for funds to appear in your account depends on the bank’s processing system, which can take 5–7 working days for card refunds. We have already sent confirmation of the refund leaving our system, but if you have any remaining concerns, we are happy to liaise further and help you resolve this as quickly as possible.
An incredible weekend away!
My family of 11 really enjoyed this time away. The facilities themselves were a very high standard, the amenities were fantastic and the setting / decor / style was amazing! There was something for everyone in this property and would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away, recharge and connect.

Fourth time with sleeps 12
This was my fourth time in a sleeps 12 property! I’ve never been disappointed the properties are always presented in a high quality and are clean, warm and comfortable.
The communication is spot on and I particularly felt that Sam the manager of this property made sure she was known to be contactable at anytime but equally didn’t feel burdened either!
I will 100% rebook with sleeps 12 for future events and gatherings.

Great accommodation with plenty of facilities - you really want to maximise your time at Willowheyes but there are also places to visit nearby. We had a marvellous stay - would definitely recommend and hope to return!

This was our 3rd visit to Holemore…
This was our 3rd visit to Holemore Stables and are ready to book again for next year, just getting the deposit together.
The whole process is fantastic, our group of 18 going to be coming back for many years to come.
Another added bonus of booking with Sleeps12.com you can pay as little or as much as you want before the final balance is due.
Just a shame they do not offer a discount for returning customers :-)
