Made a basic diagram. From a technical perspective its easy to pick up and did what I needed. Very unclear that signing up only gives you a limited trial period. Unable to access the drawing I spent 20m on without purchasing a licence which will mean I need to go measure / draw diagram again. Obviously, I'll be using a different product.

Greedy exploitative company. Did a free trial, finished an assignment, and then was forced to pay over $150 dollars of money I don't have just to view it so I could export and submit it.

Even contacting support was blocked in the app.

IT was easier to create my floorplan in Paint than SmartDraw

REALLY BAD experience. Spent about an hour drawing a room thinking it is a free service as it advertises. Was HORRIBLY mistaken. When you are done drawing it and want to download your sketch. It makes you sing up and then asks for you to pay a monthly fee in order to export.

Spent about 3 hours drawing a floor plan, clicked to download made me sign up. Then put up a paywall asking for $100 for a yearly subscription and no way to get back to the floor plan I'd just spent 3 hours on.

Avoid. Misleads you into advertising as free but any usable exports require you to sign up for an annual subscription. Not monthly; annual. Having to fork out over 100 quid for what is a very basic flowchart maker is appalling.

Garbage.
It appears to be a free software and you can use all the features up until you need to print or save your work. When you search free wiring tool and the first one that shows up is this paid trash, is pretty frustrating. Especially when you spent two hours making the diagram.

Same problem everyone is having. They don't tell you its a free trial and then, because I thought it was worth it and was locked out of all the work I had done, I was going to sign up. Its was 6.86$ per month had to pay annually, went to pay and you can only sign up for 3 accounts minimum and its 18$ for tax. over $267. Horrible company, stay away.

Avoid this at all cost, at least if you want to try it out. My project was locked behind the paywall after 2 hours of drawing and unable to be accessed without paying.

Terrible experience for a mediocre product. one of the worse examples of corporate greed I've seen in recent. the fact that the they don't properly tell you you are entering a free trial and that I can't even export my flowchart without opening my wallet is such a scummy way of getting people to pay for your service. now I'e wasted quite a bit of time and now they're one bad review richer. If I could rate them half a star, I would.

I Used this in 2021 to design a deck area (one off project). The functonality was actually good and I got dagrams done well, but beware of the PRICING practices... Just tried to reactivate my licence in 2025 to sketch a cabinet project and it is asking me to pay over $100 to renew a licence that will expire in 2022 ?? 12 months after last time i used it... NO other options.. what a Joke.. smartdraw has just perminantly lost a good customer.. I'm happy to pay reasonable money for good product, but not this crazy extortion subscription pricing.. bye bye Smartdraw.

smartdraw are one up from scammers you can spend hours on a plan on the so called trial try and save it print it or even copy and it says trial expired they only offer an annual option but promote it as monthly log out try and change your email to get a trial that you never got first time and you find your plan has been deleted they really are scum I will never advise anyone to use Smartdraw even AI says its shady

A completely terrible application. It’s performance is woeful, absolutely no consistency, changes lost left right and centre, customer service none existent. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Upon first use it seems great, that is until you try to download your work. Only then does it explain that you MUST pay in order to download. This is sneaky and not upfront at all. It forces you to either pay or redo all of the work you spent a long time on elsewhere. DO NOT USE, IF ONLY FOR THEIR OBFUSCATION AND MISREPRESNTATION.

Fewer features and more bugs than draw.io, and no mention of "purchase to export" until AFTER you've drawn. Toxic version of 'foot-in-the-door' sales tactics.

Be upfront, greedy scum.

The fact that you need to pay to export or even print is absolutely ridiculous. The UI is also not really keyboard friendly and selecting multiple things with your mouse is inconsistent.

Yet another greedy corporate company that doesn't care about the little guy, only their own income. decent product, but not great, wish i'd just drawn things out by hand instead of wasting my money and time using software that unless you keep paying, you don't own the works that you've created. save your time and money and use a pencil and paper.
