Great staff, knowledgeable and helpful. Resorts and snorkeling experiences were fantastic .

Snorkel Venture made the trip easy and fun. Great guide Amy, she is the best! Enjoyed 3 locations in one tour: Alami Alor, West Komodo and Raja Ampat. Everything went well. Take note: trash is unpleasantly in the water in many sites in Raja Ampat. And economy air seats overnight are not fun in both timing and comfort. Resorts are beautiful and do a lovely job, good food, great staff, sweet rooms overlooking the water. Snorkeling in gorgeous settings is the priority and your days will be full.

My husband and I had the great privilege of joining 11 other snorkeling enthusiasts on a Snorkel Venture 19-day tour of Bunaken, Bangka & Raja Ampat. It was an excellent experience from my very first inquiry to the moment we said goodbye to the group at the end of the tour. Our tour consultant, Kelly, did a terrific job. She promptly and thoroughly answered each of our questions, and she provided all necessary information in a timely manner. The booking process was efficient and smooth.

We stayed at the Siladen Resort in Bunaken, the Coral Eye Resort in Bangka and the Papua Explorers Resort in Raja Ampat. All 3 were in stunning locations, and they all provided very nice and comfortable accommodations and excellent service. The reefs at all three locations were simply amazing. I could not have imagined the variety and abundance of colorful corals nor the amazing variety of fish and marine mammals that we saw.

Our group hit the jackpot with our tour leader, Marcus. It was truly remarkable how well he handled the travel logistics, and he always made sure that everyone was safe and having fun. He is a marine life expert who enthusiastically shared his knowledge with us. Additionally, Marcus is an avid underwater (and above water) photographer, and he chronicled our trip with fabulous photos and videos, which he shared freely with us. He made a wonderful video of our entire trip that is the best possible memento of our adventure.

In summary, we had a fantastic trip, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Snorkel Venture or to book again with them. If you are considering booking a tour with them, just do it!

This trip was amazing! Snorkel Ventures knows the best places to take you for the most wonderful snorkeling experience possible. But on top of that, we were lucky enough to have Marcus as our guide. He made the trip seamless and the snorkeling an exciting adventure every day! He made us laugh and showed us a marine world we would have missed without him!

Alex made the pleasant adventure exceptional. He was kind, warm hearted, and very knowledgeable. I really appreciated his humor. And he never took himself too serious. We would do another trip lead by Alex.

A very well run trip from the start in the office to the actual trip. The snorkelling sites are superb, varied and the snorkelling experience was run with the emphasis on safety and then having fun. The accommodation was lovely and the food very good especially given our remoteness. Our tour guide, Lydia, was excellent, very knowledgeable, organised and good company. I’ve booked another trip already and many on the trip had further trips already in the bag. The fact that one has to book so far ahead is testament to the the overall experience.

Everything was perfectly organized, the resorts where excelent and, most of all, Duxy is a great, great guide.

Fabulous trip to a truly beautiful location Palau. Very nice liveaboard Palau Aggressor II, excellent crew, maxxed out on snorkelling with 5-6 hours per day, well organised boat, great food, great company.

We had an amazing experience snorkeling with Marcus Blake, our guide from Snorkle Venture. From the start, he was professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Marcus struck the perfect balance between professionalism and a relaxed, confident, fun approach. His sense of humor was enjoyed by all!
What really stood out was Marcus’s passion for marine life. Throughout the trip, he pointed out things we would have easily missed on our own—colorful fish, unique coral formations, and even a few well-hidden creatures tucked into the reef.
Marcus also made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and safe, regularly checking in and adjusting the pace to match everyone’s needs. The entire experience was smooth and well-organized from beginning to end.
Overall, this wasn’t just a snorkeling trip—it was an unforgettable experience. Marcus was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. We can't wait for our next trip with Marcus and Snorkle Ventrue in 2028!

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our time on this trip. Marcus, our fantastic tour guide, was there with us every step of the way to ensure that things ran smoothly. As someone with a dietary concern (I'm vegan), Marcus always made sure I was accommodated, even when we were in transit. Both Papua Explorers and Misool did a fantastic job making sure there were always delicious things for me (and everyone) to eat.

The snorkeling at both locations was the best we've ever experienced, and we had every opportunity to snorkel to our heart's content, with at least two and sometimes three guided snorkels per day.

The information Snorkel Ventures provides before, during and after the trip is super helpful, especially for a trip of this duration (we snorkeled for 17 days). I would highly recommend that anyone going on a SV trip read through their blogs for recommended clothes and gear. We followed their recs and were very happy we did.

Marcus was a fantastic guide, helping us improve our photography skills, taking technology questions, teaching us how to better duck dive, and just helping us have a fantastic, stress-free adventure of a lifetime. He is a caring, fun, knowledgeable, problem-solver extraordinaire! 10/10 would recommend.

Our guide Marcus was an exceptional fun guide for our trip to Papua Explorers & Misool Resort in Raja Ampat. He communicated well and the whole group had such a good time. The coral & sealife was over the top beautiful, along with the accommodations & food. We are looking forward to our next Snorkel Venture trip.

It’s a risk to revisit the best vacation one ever had, but this is what we did. Returned after three years to Indonesia with Snorkel Venture and Marcus. And it was just as fantastic. Of course the waters so rich in coral and fish. Papua Explorers was new to us and great. Guided attentive, and general manager so involved. The links with children at nearby village lent another dimension.
All staff at Misool were again so gracious. One feels so cared for.
This was our second trip with Marcus as guide and have signed up for another which speaks volumes. His knowledge of the area, skill in the water are outstanding. He was always checking that things were well, advised, encouraged was excited with us. And of course he is such fun. And he is a true professional, acting respectfully and appropriately with a difficult guest at resort not in our group.

This is our second Snorkel Venture tour to Indonesia. The planning and precise execution makes these trips so enjoyable. Marcus, our guides on both trips (as well as Alex on the first trip) is amazing - his photography, organization & infectious personality are what makes these wonderful trips so extra special! We are already looking forward to our 3rd SV Tour with Marcus as our guide in 2028.

We completed a 19 day trip with Snorkel Venture in Raja Ampat to Papua Explorers and Misool. It was a fantastic experience.

Our guide, Marcus, lead our group with expertise and good humor from beginning to end. He handled all logistics with flights and arranging the appropriate snorkeling sites each day with the resort teams. As you'd expect, he had deep knowledge of the area and life above and below the water. In addition, he's an excellent photographer and videographer, and was generous in sharing his work.

The resorts we stayed at were great, with very friendly staff and guides. Raja Ampat is considered one of the most biodiverse areas in the world, and for good reason.

This was our first trip with Snorkel Venture, and we liked it so much that we've booked a second trip with them to Komodo and Alor. We can highly recommend them.

Attention to detail. Everything thought about and planned so it feels seemless

First day was a fabulous tour of Altun-Ha Mayan temple from Belize City, then we went by boat to Turneffe Island Resort. Every day we snorkeled at least twice in groups of 5-12, with one boat captain and a snorkel guide who knew the reefs extremely well. We also did a night snorkel and an excursion to the Blue Hole and Half-Keye Cove. We saw LOTS! Including Eagle Rays, Octopus, Reef Sharks, Large crabs, HUGE Lobsters, and Reef Squid swimming in formation. We had morning breathing workshops, pool breathing work, and freediving practice sessions out in the ocean. The food was fantastic, and the rooms were lovely (with a big screen porch and private screened-in outside shower). Great experience! If you want to learn to freedive and snorkel, this is the trip for you.

Taking Emma Farrell’s shallow-water freediving workshop in Belize (Feb 21-28, 2026) was a life-changing, top-tier experience. Beyond learning to hold my breath, this course focused on profound mental relaxation, breathing techniques, and connecting with the ocean—from morning breathing optimizations sessions to evening Yoga Nidra. Emma is an exceptionally professional, caring instructor dedicated to student confidence. As an experienced snorkeler new to freediving, I gained invaluable safety knowledge and techniques to improve my underwater time. Highly recommended for beginners and experienced divers alike.

The Guides, the accommodations, the seamless planning and support services when things happen1 Can't say enough about this group. I have just returned from the Shallow Water Free Diving workshop on Turneffe Island Resort. In one week, I've gone from a snorkeler who stayed on the surface to having the skill and confidence to duck dive safely and in correct form. Emma and Asha tirelessly led our group through an unforgettable week of learning and practicing, with immense care, safety, and confidence building, all while creating a fun and nurturing environment. I cannot speak highly enough of Emma, of her passion, skill, energy, patience, organization, and beautiful personality. Asha assisted with great kindness and care, and always with a huge smile and beaming personality. Alex was also on the trip, adding his incredible photographic skills and fun self. I made new friends, learned a new skill, and had so much fun. Turneffe is a beautiful resort! The staff is so outstanding, from the skilled snorkel guides and boat captains (I always felt safe!) to Fidel, the fun bartender, to the incredibly accommodating dining room staff. You will feel very welcomed there. Lastly, I send a major shout out to Crystal, the trip organizer. She could teach a master class on outstanding communication and timely follow up! No question was too small for her. I loved the entire trip and recommend it highly!!!
