Get a new Search Engine or do they care?
I have Just spoken to someone at sovereign explaining the search engine for “the customer” imo was very hard work.
I explained I was trying to check into any place in Kefalonia, you put the dates in and it comes up unavailable please try again this is with a three day margin zzzzzzz after several times of putting different dates in I rang up to be told a hotel I particularly liked only takes people in Tuesday and Sunday and is fully booked, did I the customer know this, does it show it on the website? I could have saved time if I had known, this happened on other areas I was looking into. The lady I spoke to was hardly engaging and it was a relief to get of the phone, after using this company before when it was very professional it sadly appears totally different now.
Able to speak to a Personal Travel Planner
We are both in our seventies and accessing online bookings we find difficult. Being able to speak to someone and discuss what we want is easy for us than entering everything on a computer.
Poor
Poor. The search engine is unwieldy, slow and non intuitive. After bailing your way through it, it finds nothing. So I emailed the company and they replied saying the same. No indication from them if the hotel was unavailable, or too expensive for my budget, or simply doesn’t fly from london. Literally, just an email saying give us a call. Really…why would I?!

ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY, FORGET IT
My flight was cancelled and they left me out to dry. I had to book another flight myself and now I cant get compensation for the cancelled flight as it was booked through sovereign. I'm owed £700 in compensation. I have called sovereign 5 times and emailed 6 times. NOTHING
It was nothing to do with Airline policy. It was your failure to take responsibility for anything until I threatened to complain to the Company Director whose name I got from Companies House. Even now you're passing the buck.

Amazing company
Amazing company, wonderful customer service, plus the cheapest prices, they saved us £200 on our cruise against the cruise company price. I ask questions and receive an almost immediate response, the customer services are very informed about my cruise, this time is my third time of booking with this company and the cruise was fantastic, I highly recommend them.
Martin Cross a Star!
Martin was fantastic from the start of our booking until the end. He responded speedily with answers to even the most basic questions. He never made us feel like it was a problem and was always happy and cheerful and helpful. He went out of his way to ensure that we got the best value for our money. In fact he was so good that we asked for him on our return to book our next holiday!

Mixed experience with this company
We've had a mixed experience with this company. Booked our honeymoon to The Blue Palace in Crete and the staff at Sovereign were very helpful.
However, we booked the Amavi in Paphos and Sovereign misrepresented the hotel and beach to us- they showed a cgi version of the beach which was nothing like reality for a start. I can't review our stay with Amavi because they made me sign a waiver not to, but Sovereign washed their hands of the issue and were no help at all when I made a complaint. It seems they are happy to take your money but as soon as youve paid they just don't care.
We will not use Sovereign again because of our last experience and the lack of care when something went wrong.
Going on holiday in two days time
Going on holiday in two days time. Can’t get holiday info from them. Waited another 35 minutes on the phone and now have had to leave for a ‘call back when someone’s available’. I’m working too. I may not be able to answer the phone when sovereign are free. Bad communication between sovereign and Tui. Sovereign say I need to communicate with Tui for the flights. Tui say it’s sovereign we have to speak to. We just want our travel documents including boarding passes for return flight. Poor service. Previous loyal sovereign customers. Not sure if we can trust them in the future.
They charge infants as adults.
Summer holiday booking
Just booked summer holiday - gave my adviser a holiday criteria and she got me exactly what I wanted. Really pleased with Antonia’s personalised holiday booking service.
Friendly, professional, knowledgeable
Just booked a holiday to Croatia and was very impressed with wait times on the call and the professional way in which our booking was handled by Cassie. Really looking forward to our trip now and feel we're in safe hands. We've been so disappointed with Tui over the last couple of years and hoping Sovereign will become our new go-to for holidays.
Very Poor Service
I booked with Sovereign on recommendation that for my first foreign holiday since the pandemic I would get a travel agent offering premium service. Sadly this was not the case and Sovereign has fallen well short of my expectations!! On arrival at my resort in CORFU I soon realised that I had left my jacket in the private transfer on the way to the hotel. I immediately referred to my Sovereign correspondents to find out who the local representative that I could contact to report my jacket was missing. Without this information the hotel reception desk tried to contact the company direct but without success. I finally reverted to emailing Sovereign direct without any reply. I then contact Sovereign via telephone and was given another email address to send the information too and again no reply. When I final got back to the UK I was contacted by Sovereign, (presumable to sell me another holiday!!!) and again I asked about trying to help me find my jacket. A reply has final come back but it was a forwarded email from a courier company, basically asking me to do all the arrangements. Sadly, I would not use Sovereign as you pay a premium rate but with the service levels to back it up.

Our Sovereign Expert
Our Sovereign Expert, Romina, was extremely helpful in finding us the holiday we wanted, which was certainly not straight out of their computer. She was persistent in finding ways around various flight, hotels and technical hitches and invariably cheerful and positive.
Cancelled holiday booked for 2021 excellent service…
We booked a holiday for June 20 this was cancelled and we booked for Sept this was cancelled and we have now re booked for June 21.The service from Sovereign through out these difficult times has been first class we had paid in full for the Sept holiday and we received our refund in less than two weeks.
Our new booking was made in the usual efficient manner that is why we have dealt with them for many years
Great customer service
Staff were so helpful and personable in sorting out our holiday, amends and cancellation. Very polite and real customer service. The second good experience with sovereign in as many holidays!

Good service from Linda...was happy to spend time sorting the right package, dates and checking on the best deal. Despite not having used or heard of Sovereign Holidays before was reassured they were a sister company of Hayes and Jarvis. Recommended
I will never use this company again
I will never consider using this company again. They insisted upon me honouring the T&C’s to the letter but then tried to change them arbitrarily for their benefit whenever they felt like it. They tried to profiteer from everyone’s misery by requoting a change of date to my holiday at 10% more than the original price for one less person when TUI were quoting the same for 10% less. When the holiday was finally cancelled, their communication was appalling including one email saying ‘congratulations, you are going on holiday’. They tried to wriggle out of the refund at every turn and claimed to be following ABTA’s guidelines by only pointing to the parts that protected them and not the areas that benefitted me. After much correspondence, they finally agreed to a refund an then finally delivered it - significantly later than they had originally committed to in writing. Meanwhile they seemed happy to take money from me if I booked something else so they had no problem taking cash but just not giving it back. They have lost any hope of my trust now and for the future. I appreciate times are difficult but some honesty and integrity goes a long way in customer service. I would though say that Lynn, as our agent, always tried her best to help and respond even though clearly she was constrained in what she could ultimately deliver.
