They are really thieves, I bought a car in December 2023 and they convinced me to pay £600 extra for a full service and MOT when next MOT will come,next MOT is next month, I call them to let them know and they tell me that they do this when I buy the car.
I know that every auto sales company sales cars with MOT in date and service done. They are scammers.

AVOID them!

DO NOT BUY FROM THAT DEALERSHIP.
I bought a car August, the car was delivered with nothing but faults. Everything they told me they did was a lie. They even falsified MOT certificate, which I reported to the DVSA.
Stay away if you want peace of mind.

My experience with Spirit Motor Company was deeply disappointing. I purchased a Ford Fiesta from them, only to discover serious issues almost immediately, including an air conditioning leak and an exhaust problem. Despite my attempts to resolve the matter, the dealership refused to provide any meaningful support, instead altering documentation after the sale to include additional issues I was never informed about.

Communication was minimal at best, and in the end, I had to escalate my complaint through legal channels and my credit card provider. For anyone considering this dealership, I would advise caution and a thorough inspection, as their approach to customer service and transparency left me with significant concerns.

This review reflects my experience, and I am not seeking any further response from the company.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Purchased a car from this dealership for over £7000, with warranty, and was told that the dealership had replaced the timing chain. 6 months later, the timing chain snaps...

Went into the showroom and was told by the very friendly staff 'not to worry' and 'we'll get this sorted for you'. The dealership showed me the receipt for the chain they'd fitted to the car, which was actually for a timing belt kit?

As soon as Mohammed caught wind of this, and the high repair bill for the engine rebuild, he told me not to speak with his staff and to speak with only him. Long story short, the dealership gave a very small contribution to the total cost of the rebuild and was not interested in making it right. Also note, the warranty isn't worth the paper its written on - they were not interested at all in helping.

Leaves me with a £5k+ repair bill on a car I bought a year ago for £7k+...

We had to take them to court.
They sold us a car that broke down after 2 months.
Refused to fix it. Refused to refund.
They do fake MOTs

absolutely disgusted- scammers- can anyone point us in the direction for legal action please.
spoken to like rubbish- bought a car 6 weeks ago, broken down and the all singing; dancing warranty has been completely mis sold to us. need to be reported to trading standards.

The most criminal dealer ship I've ever purchased a car off.
They sold me a car for £2700 and the highest level of warranty package for £750.
3 months later I was having problems with the car. They would not help me at all and told me to use my warranty.
I book it in with my local garage thinking the warranty would cover it. I contacted the warranty company and was told that the dealer ship only purchased a basic cover package costing £200. And that I couldn't claim because the gear box is not covered under the basic policy.

Bought a car just over 6 weeks ago and returned vehicle as experienced violent shaking whilst on motorway, was abused, told they would dick me about, brought in for diagnostics and then received car back with a flat tyre!!! Please do not purchase as they are absolutely awful with you

IF I COULD LEAVE A MINUS 100 REVIEW I WOULD ITS A DISGUSTING COMPANY, DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS GARAGE! my partner bought a £5K+ car from this company with a "Champagne Package" aka a fake warranty. it's DPF was completely ruined and the warning lights came on driving it back from the showroom. After a year battle with the company they Agreed to buy it back but NO they just longed it out. he drove a 6hour round trip to collect it on a trailer because he didn't want to add anymore miles to the vehicle and he didn't want to breakdown on his way home. according to SPIRIT MOTOR COMPANY It was fine and nothing wrong with it! Another lie. he took it for a M.O.T. Yesterday and the warning lights came on less than 200 yards from his home and yes it failed. so long story short if you want good value for money DONT BUY FROM THESE COWBOYS!!!!

I would not recommend purchasing from this company the service is terrible. I had booked in a time to purchase the car having a lift to drive long distance to get there. When I was offered a test drive for the car there wasn’t any petrol in the car and I was kept waiting. Once I had gotten the car I took it for a ten point check at Halfords, the rear windscreen wiper was completely bare down to the bar and the daylight bulb had melted into the holder. They were both replaced at my expense. Then the usb and audio port went in the car. I contacted them to get it resolved under warranty and was booked in to drive 29 miles to have it looked at. I dropped the car into their garage and waited around for two hours, only to be called back and advised that I had been sent to the wrong place and they couldn’t fix it. I followed up with the Bolton branch and was told that the USB was not covered under warranty. At this point I asked to speak to management as I had been sent on a wasted 60 mile round trip. They advised they would call me back and the customer service was terrible. I continued to chase a response and was put through to a man who was going to arrange for a mechanic to collect the car to fix and return the car to me. Then when I followed up a week later after not hearing anything from them, they told me they wanted me to bring my car in and leave it with them for three days so they could do ‘proper diagnostics’. I declined as it would be cheaper for me to order the part and pay for labour than to leave my car with them for three days when I don’t have access to another car and need my car for work. Appalling service.

Please never buy a car from this company! I was sold a car under the pretence that it was a 2013 plate, it was only after I had transferred the money that I realised it had a private reg plate on it and was actually a 2006, the car was worth 25% of what I paid for it! I didnt pick the car up and I asked for a refund, I was then accused of lying and was given a refund minus a £500 by a cheque, which bounced, so i then had to return to the company to get another cheque!
I have contacted a solicitor who has taken on my case and have been assured that I will be receive the £500 that has been taken from me.

Yes in hindsight I was too trusting and should have done my homework, I just pray that others read this review and don't make the same mistake I did

We bought a Ford Focus from here for £3000 (although it was listed on auto trader for £2500). The additional £500 pounds was the price we paid for them to thoroughly check the car and make repairs. Despite this, when we took the car over to a mechanic after purchase, he told us the tining belt was in bad shape and that costed us another £560.

Spirit motor company claims they did good work on our car and replaced the turbo etc with brand new parts, but they consistently refuse to furnish receipts for the same. We now suspect the never did replace anything.

The car was claimed to have been valeted, but it was a very badly done job which we pointed out to them on the day of purchase itself.

They also messed up our address for the log book despite us giving them the right one. They now shamelessly want us to get in touch with the DVLA claiming it was our fault.

The man who claimed to be the general manager on the phone to my husband was astonishingly rude and extremely full of himself. His response to our queries for receipts was "it's a £3000 car, not a £300,000 car!" but at the same time, he and his company didn't seem to have any issues asking us for £500 pounds more than they had initially listed. Shameless much?

I wouldn't recommend purchasing a car from here to anyone, ever.

I bought a car in December drove it for 2 weeks then it stopped I messaged them called them I had 28 days warranty with it got a new battery from them said it was still not working car was on my drive for a month still no reply so I got someone come look at it they sent it to hull to where Citroën to look at it for me was there for 2 months I had get a hire car to use in total nearly 2500 just for the hire car then phone call telling me my car was fixed nearly 3600 later phone spititmotors got some bloke saying should of took it there even tho I live 100 plus miles away from them then he said he do some digging about my car over a month half ago no reply now I'm looking in to legal action against them would I recondmend them he'll no worst garage I have ever used

My husband went and bought a car and when he done test drive it’s fine but after 3 days it’s shown as engine fault . And we went to ask for returning the car . They deducted 400£ for returning car which of their fault . Please my kind request is don’t purchase any car from spirit trade centre . Their names are carol , Andy , James. These people belongs to sales and act very well until we buy car . We have been still asking for refund and they are not responding . They are money launderers be careful

Visited spirit in Leigh dealt with James who was great from start to finish very friendly, polite and knowledgeable great service would use again.

Absolutely fantastic company, sorted my car out quick, whilst honoring part exchange for my car even though they didn't have to.

These spirit motors does not fit for 1star review also .Do not buy from these scam peddlers! We agreed to buy an advertised car for £2500. (that they didn’t have in stock yet) and booked a viewing and went to that place Now it’s in stock they have changed the price to £3000; the additional £150 allegedly for checkings they said ,and we argued for some time they finally fixed it for 3000£ .They admitted that they only advertised it as £2500 on Autotrader because it’s free to do so then put the price up after sale is agreed so they’re also scamming Autotrader. Now we took. Car and used for 1 day the very next day it has shown as engine fault. Bought a car pegout 2008 at the end of July not had it 6 days, and it's fit for nothing, tried to phone, to be fobbed off, AVOID!!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE. And also we checked over by a independent vat registered garage we found the car to be not fit for the road an dangerous.They are rude when we asked for money return and they are rudely saying that £500 we will be deducted and give £2500 and after lots for conversation they agreed to come and take car . But next when they came for car recovery they started playing drama again . Please stop buying from them . This is my genuine request . I will file case in the court as I have an all proofs and vedios and pictures of them . Andy is worst guy he is very nice when buying the car . Later he will not answer call when we have trouble with that car. I need my rest 400£ back or will go leagally and file a case . Finally these spirit motors will buy Rubish cars in cheap and modify this and sell us . Don’t buy from spirit motors these people are rubbish and cheaters and scammer Believe me . I need my remaining amount back. I can sue you on consumer court according to consumer rights act 2015. As I was returning the vehicle before 28 days of buying . I have every proof of your dramas.
