Stewardsons of Hawkshead is a family run shop established over 40 years ago in the pretty village of Hawkshead, in the heart of the Lake District. We have a long history of supplying quality outdoor and country clothing to local customers and visitors, people who work outdoors in the Lakes and those who come up for a few days' holiday. Our range of clothing includes classic items - Barbour waxed jackets, Hunter wellies, quilted jackets - and contemporary styles.

Size matters

Ordered a size 12 which was enormous so returned item immediately and requested a size 8. This was delivered straight away and I received it on 3.10.25. It fits perfectly. I was very impressed with the speed of my requests, both for the wrong size and the right size.

Speed and Quality

The speed and quality of shipment was great especially considering that the order was international. The variety available online was great. I’ll look for them again when making my next Barbour purchase.

Customer service

Phoned on Saturday with a query about coat sizings. They went and got an item from stock and took some measurements.
I ordered online later that day.
Despatched Sunday. Arrived Tuesday. Great service.
The coat was £70 cheaper than other retailers.

I didn’t receive my order yet

I didn’t receive my order yet. It was refused on Royal Mail and i did not receive my jacked, a refund or more information about the problem. If you have some News i Would like to know.

Royal Mail sent your parcel to Germany by mistake and as a result the shipment had to come back to us. We sent your order out yesterday. Apologies for the inconvenience.
