We had a mixed experience with Swoop. The first part of our trip in Iguazu Falls was amazing. The hotel, transportation, guide and itinerary were seamless and top-notch.
The second part of our trip to El Calafate in Patagonia did not go as smoothly. Swoop engages a third party operator that provides the guide, transportation and itinerary. The guide was mediocre and added very little value to the experience. The most notable problem was a mix-up with our Perito Moreno excursion. According to our Swoop itinerary, we were scheduled for a nature hike to the glacier, which our group of 4 was very excited about. Instead, we were booked on a 1-hour boat ride to the glacier, which was beautiful but not what was expected. There was a lot of confusion when we asked our guide when we were doing the nature hike. After 22 email exchanges and 5 weeks of delays, Swoop acknowledged their mistake and provided a refund for the excursion, with no additional compensation for our time, effort, and disappointment. Swoop did not handle the situation in a timely and professional manner.
We had an additional issue with planning a day trip from El Calafate to El Chaltén. Our Swoop rep strongly discouraged us from doing this excursion by rental car as they stated that it would be too risky (flat tires, no gas stations) and too long of a day (3 hrs each way), and they suggested that we spend the day relaxing at the lodge. While some people would be hesitant to do this day trip independently, it’s not appropriate for the travel planner to tell us what we should and shouldn’t do with our time. We ultimately planned the trip independently, without Swoop’s assistance, and had a wonderful time. The third part of our trip took us to Torres del Paine and went smoothly.

Swoop was great with finding dates for the itinerary we wanted in Chilean Patagonia. We were most interested in the puma trekking options, and everything else (hiking, horseback riding, etc.) was secondary to the pumas. Once we got those dates secured, we were able to plan logistics to / from Torres del Paine. Swoop was with us every step of the way to ensure we maximized our time with the pumas and in the park. Would definitely recommend for puma trekking focused trips in Patagonia!

This trip was originally scheduled for April 2020 with Swoop but had to be canceled due to COVID. Even back then, I was impressed by their incredible planning and attention to detail, so choosing them again was an easy decision—and they exceeded every expectation.

Swoop delivered a truly unforgettable three-week adventure. From start to finish, every detail was flawlessly executed. The itinerary was seamless, the travel connections were perfectly coordinated, and not a single thing went wrong the entire time—something that’s almost unheard of on a trip of this scale.

The accommodations were outstanding, the guides were knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate, and every experience felt thoughtfully curated. It was clear throughout the trip that Swoop goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs perfectly.

This was hands down one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend Swoop to anyone looking for a meticulously planned, stress-free, and truly exceptional adventure.

We had an amazing trip to Patagonia, put together just for us with Swoop. I looked at lots of organized trips, like Road Scholar, Smithsonian expeditions and picked my favorite things from them, then had Swoop make the trip just for us. Buenos Aires, El Chalten, the Australis Cruise, Torres Del Payne. Hotels were just what we wanted. Love the guides when we had them, but also did hiking on our own. I would skip the cruise next time - very well run and super fun to see the penquins but after you've seen one glacier... spend your money in Alaska or the galapagos. Both our trip planner, then our trip coordinator were fantastic and helpful. If you are cost concious be proactive and ask how much extra is that experience. They like to bundle everything. Still we loved their expertise and we felt we got great value and great support.

Trip of a life time
You made a complicated trip, with lots of moving parts incredibly easy. The local companies you partnered with for transportation and housing were exceptional. But the guides. NEXT LEVEL. We were so indredibly impressed with Nico and Cata, I can not say enough positive things about both of them. Cata was our guide, inspirational leader, nurse, psychologist, naturalist, cultural bridge and our friend.

Swoop helped plan the key parts of our trip from the 4-day horse back rides in Torres del Paine NP to the boat trip to Perot Moreno glacier and other areas in Los Glaciares NP. Everything was super well organized. Shuttles were on time with kind drivers. Our guide for the horse riding was well versed in the flora, fauna, and geology of Torres del Paine which we appreciated. The guide on the boat trip within Los Glaciares was also a great source of information. Both parts of trip were once in a lifetime experiences for us. I would recommend Swoop and their Chilean and Argentinian partners to anyone who wants to travel to South America. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. Thanks Swoop!

The tour was well organized and the guides were outstanding - a real pleasure to get to know.

Every moment of our holiday was amazing. The trip was so well organized, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Whalesound and our stay at the Eco Camp for W Trek were just as described by our Swoop representatives. We were advised on preparedness and were well equipped for the ever-changing Patagonian weather. I thoroughly enjoyed Patagonia and the Chilean people. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Chile and will definitely be booking with Swoop.

Augustin was attentive and helpful and arranged for us the Patagonia experience that was perfect for our family! Great job! When we arrived at Las Torres, our rooms, excursions etc. were all in place and went smoothly and efficiently. The transportation to and from Torres del Paine was also flawless. Great job SWOOP!

Our trip was perfect. Swoop did an excellent job making sure we were completely prepared before we got there. Everything was coordinated seamlessly. I would highly recommend using Swoop for your Patagonian adventure.

I really wanted to like Swoop, but I had some major issues with my experience.

Pros:
-Although I did feel some pressure to my trip into their pre-formed packages, Danny was ultimately knowledgeable in helping guide us to a trip structure that worked well for us
-The Swoop trip portal is pretty nice, with plenty of info and clear instructions

Cons:
-Most of the services they chose for transportation weren't great. Even though Swoop said they would reach out to confirm prior to arrival, none ever did
-There were several mistakes in the itinerary that marked the wrong time or place
-The most egregious issue though was that I paid for an add on tour and Swoop pretended it never happened. The tour was part of my itinerary, but the operator said it was never booked and made us pay again after they tried to reach out to Swoop. When I checked the portal, Swoop had changed the itinerary! I have saved and printed copies of both versions, so it isnt something I just misread. When I presented this issue to Swoop, they said they would have their team investigate and get back to me within 21(!) days. Spoiler, they never did. Basically, I got scammed for several hundred dollars and I would not recommend Swoop to anyone

We loved that Swoop was willing to create a custom itinerary for us. They helped us get the kind of boutique B&Bs we wanted to stay in, plan enough time for the hikes and other activities and destinations we wanted, and were accessible during our trip when we needed help. Excellent service and expertise.

Swoop planned an amazing trip for us - they took the time to learn what we were most interested in doing and seeing, and then helped us organize a trip that checked all those boxes. They arranged bike trips for us to tour the big cities, gave us recommended self-led hikes, arranged guided hikes, including one of our highlights - trekking across the Perito Moreno glacier in crampons. The accommodations that they booked were fantastic.

Swoop helped us put together a terrific itinerary and everything went off very smoothly. We loved the hotels they selected for us and the information on the website from planning for the trip to sites to visit on our free time was immensely helpful. There were a couple of small glitches that happened during the trip, none of which were the fault of Swoop, one being a late pickup at one of our hotels. The hotel staff called the after-hours Swoop line and they quickly helped resolve the problem.

Great guides and porters, very helpful, experienced, friendly, explained everything, and just a great bunch of people to be around; this was a highlight of the trip!
