Having had many appointments over 9 years through the NHS for an unusual mix of allergy and respiring symptoms I finally got a referral to see Dr Costa.

His knowledge, experience and expertise in allergies and Immunology were extremely impressive.

He took his time to explain things, understood my condition and for the first time offered potential diagnosis and treatment.

He was fantastic.

I had a very pleasant consultation with Dr Costa who is an excellent health care professional. My issues are varied and many GP appointments have not helped me as much as just 30 mins with Dr Costa. I am to see him again after further blood tests and I hope together we can get to the bottom of 4 decades of issues.

I'm happy with the detailed explanation on what could be allergy. Why is the cough persistent and how post nasal drip can cause cough.

Very thorough consultation. Felt listened to and have a plan going forward for further tests to try and get to the route of what’s causing my daughters ongoing symptoms.

Dr Costa asked a large amount of questions regarding our daughters whole life & lifestyle to gain a very clear picture to help with his diagnosis
He was ever so accommodating when we had a lot of questions & we felt we could really take as much time as we needed at the appointment, nothing felt rushed or in genuine
He made us feel like he really cared to help us find a solution for our daughter and we as her parents feel very comfortable & satisfied with his advice moving forward
We would definitely visit him again & recommended him highly

Mr Costa was very professional, reassuring and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all my questions and give me sound advice. He is clearly very passionate about his field and I feel confident he will find the answers to my problem.

Dr Jose Costa, was excellent with my son who suffers badly from hay fever. Dr Costa carried out skin tests which helped us understand more about my sons pollen allergies and other underlying allergies too. Dr Costa explained everything very clearly and we now have a path to follow which may help to reduce the severity of my sons symptoms.

Dr Costa was friendly, caring and professional. I will be going ahead with immunotherapy however I was impressed that Dr Costa recommended other traditional treatments via my GP and didn’t push the immunotherapy option. Thank you.

After my recent appointment with Dr Costa I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. He was a true delight! He was extremely thorough in ensuring he had a full picture before making a diagnosis. Dr Costa has a wonderful bedside manner and is the consummate professional. He was very supportive and helpful post appointment also which is often rare to find.

I took my baby to see Dr Costa because we are starting weaning and have discovered she is allergic to a couple of things, and so are worried about trying new foods. We were expecting for her to be tested with a range of allergens based on my understanding of the website, and I clarified in advance that the cost for the skin testing included multiple allergens, not just one. Dr Costa was very friendly and personable and the appointment didn't feel rushed. However, he only tested for two allergens that we already knew our baby has an issue with, and didn't test for a third that we believed she had an issue with (egg), and when I queried this he just said it was rare to have an allergy to egg. He also didn't test for anything else. We were hoping for reassurance around what we can and can't feed our baby and yet after paying £445 for the consultation and testing, the testing only showed us what we already knew before the appointment, and she was not tested for anything else. It is now a couple of weeks later and she has since reacted badly to two other different allergens, the second of which led to a visit to A&E. As such, whilst I'm sure Dr Costa is very experienced and knowledgeable, we came away with no extra understanding of what our baby is allergic to, and so I'm not sure what we actually gained for our £445. If the clinic is not offering full allergy work ups then this should be made clear in advance, e.g. by removing the picture from the website of 8 different allergens being tested on someone's arm for a start!

It’s always great to see Dr Costa. He’s really helped our son to get over the hayfever allergy symptoms. He’s always very friendly and takes the time out to talk to Dylan.

Dr Costa explained things very clearly and encouraged us to ask as many questions as we could think of. We left the appointment having a good understanding of the problem and a clear path of action

The appointment with Dr Costa excellent he took plenty of time to diagnose our daughters allergy and its severity as well as explaining a clear action plan going forward. He seemed very knowledgeable, genuine, friendly and great with young children.

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him to others.

Dr Costa gave us clear, thorough and helpful advice concerning our son’s allergies. He gave us a helpful plan moving forward and the implemented steps have had a positive impact already. We couldn’t be more grateful.

The reception staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring I was comfortable and kept informed throughout my short wait.

Dr Costa was extremely helpful on the day of our son’s appointment and took the time to answer any questions or concerns we had even things not directly related to what we had the appointment for. Thanks to Dr costa we have got our local NHS service to do some additional tests which he recommended they needed to be done.

Dr Costa was so attentive and informative, he gave us so much time to run through our questions and put our minds at ease about our son's potential allergies. Highly reccomend!!
