Problem was the items I hired came from 3 different hire companies around the UK and all turned up at different times. One even came by UPS and the text message about the delivery was on about a skip hire, it was an angle grinder! Text looked so dodgy I reported it as a scam. Go in and pick up what you need whenever you can.

Conrad in the store could not have been more helpful. He is a credit to your company.
He made the whole experience of hiring a ladder, helping to fit it in a small car and sorting out all the paperwork etc seamless and stress free.
Would most definitely come here again for any tool hire needs.

The team at HSS Guildford and Camberley in particular Lee.. were just smashing.. Lee advised me and my friends twice on the right tool for the jobs, sourced the machines from another branch to meet my tight deadlines for when I needed the machines, explained how to operate them and managed the off hire well too. Fantastic customer service! Thank you Lee and HSS.

I don’t know there was an HSS inside the Selco Canning Town, it was not advertised anywhere, so I was happy when I found it as I been going to selco loads the past 6 months due to my house renovation project I’m doing, I’m no builder or diy expert by any stretch, so it’s been very helpful for me to rent various tools at hss , Kieran has helped me a lot with advice on the right tool and rent package for my needs. I will get the house project sorted hopefully this year, haha but what I have learnt is that there is always loads of jobs that come up that are unplanned , so it’s really handy for me to be able to get to hss when I when in selco nearly every week anyways these days and get some good support from Kieran.

Canning Town Selco is my local supplier, I was glad when they got an HSS hire desk there, easy for me to get products and hire tools in the same location. I’m particularly happy with a guy called Kieran, he’s good at giving you advice on the different tools and what’s best needed for the job. I got from them dehumidifies, vacuum cleaners, breakers, and lately I was getting also my scaffolding, and hitch before I was getting from somewhere else, but Kieran gets all what I need , prepares for me , helps load my van. Really nice chap and very knowledgeable of his stuff, if he doesn’t have it at Canning town, he can do the reservation for you. If you have any issues he’s available over the phone and whatssap to pass on the technical details.

First time tool hire from HSS located in Selco Builders Warehouse in Peterborough, UK. I hired a concrete breaker for a day and have to say, the customer service was 100% spot on.
Harry on the service desk was friendly and helpful beyond words even though he had had a car accident on his way to work! Decent price too with plenty of flexibility. Outstanding customer service sells all our businesses - I will definitely return.

Excellent customer service. I was looking for a ladder and Natalie went out of her way to help even though they didn’t have it in stock at the branch. She took the time to call other branches and got everything sorted for me. Really appreciated the effort and professionalism. Staff like Natalie make a big difference — highly recommend!

I thought I'd booked through HSS, but when we went to collect a wacker plate we were redirected to Speedy Hire (We booked through HSS website and HSS is on the receipt)
The machinery was is shocking condition, we were assured the instructions were with what we hired, bought it home and it wouldn't start. Will never use them again, thankfully Travis Perkins have been excellent as just picked one up from them and my partner is currently in the garden using it.
