I found The Home Shutter Company Limited through Instagram and, after requesting several quotes from different companies, we ultimately decided to go with them. The main reasons were their very competitive pricing and, most importantly, the fact that they offered real wooden shutters, rather than the plastic or PVC options that seem to be much more common on the market.

We specifically chose wooden shutters, which are usually considerably more expensive. The Home Shutter Company offered them at a price that was significantly lower than all the other companies we contacted for comparable wooden shutters. In our case, we genuinely feel that we received a premium product at a surprisingly affordable price, especially compared with the prices we had been quoted elsewhere.

The customer service was excellent throughout. They helped us with all the details, from choosing the right colour and finish to selecting the hinge finish and other small elements that make a big difference to the final result. The free measuring service was also extremely helpful: they came to our home, took all the necessary measurements, and had everything required to prepare the quotation and proceed with the order.

The shutters themselves are beautiful and, most importantly for us, provide a genuine blackout effect. When the shutters are fully closed, there is very little to no light coming through, meaning we can sleep comfortably without needing additional curtains or blinds.

The only slight issue was the delivery time, which ended up being longer than initially expected. However, this appeared to be related to wider political and shipping disruptions affecting sea freight rather than an internal issue with the company. Despite the longer wait, we were kept informed throughout the entire process. Communication was excellent from the moment we placed the order through production, shipping and finally delivery.

Overall, we are extremely happy with both the product and the service. The quality of the wooden shutters is excellent, the price was exceptional compared with other suppliers, and the whole experience was professional and reassuring.

If we decide to install more shutters in the future, we would absolutely go back to The Home Shutter Company. We would also have no hesitation in recommending them to friends and family looking for high-quality wooden shutters at a much more reasonable price. Highly recommended!

We acquired quotes from three companies for shutters. We chose The Home Shutter Company for many reasons. The salesperson was well informed and took the time to properly explain the products so we could make the best choices for our home. Communication continued as our installation was delayed by almost 2 months due to shipping issues caused by the various global wars. The installation was smooth and we were shown how to open and close the shutters with the split panel feature. We were given two additional slats per window as well as touch-up paint to maintain the condition. Now installed, the shutters already have a noticeable impact on the heat upstairs and they look extremely expensive. With the 15 year warranty, we feel the price was appropriate for the quality and durability of the product, as well as the knowledge of the salesperson.

The experience with the shutter company has been excellent from start to finish. The measuring process, order updates, and final installation were all carried out professionally and efficiently.
The delivery took a little longer than expected because of shipping delays and disruption to sea freight routes, but this was beyond the company's control.
We are extremely happy with the service we received and are already considering placing another order for our other window. Great job – highly recommended! 👏👍

Jack, Finn, Ryan and two others were very friendly, and efficient with the installation - in and out quickly and very tidy. Downside is there were some unanticipated shipping delays but all in all a cost efficient and good product product we will enjoy our blinds for years to come.

I had my third set of shutters fitted on 3rd August 2026. As with my previous two appointments the fitter (Kyle) was so professional, courteous, polite and friendly. This company is second to none when it comes to customer service! Very highly recommended company!

Great company from measuring, showroom visit and installation. Everyone was helpful and professional throughout. Unfortunately our shutters were slightly delayed, however we were kept updated on our shutters journey to the UK. This installation was our 1st phase and look forward to phase two of our installation. Surveyor is coming tomorrow for final measurements.

I'm really happy with my new window shutters. The measuring and fitting teams were professional, friendly, and left everything clean and tidy. The ordering process was straightforward with regular email updates.

The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the delivery delay of around four weeks. While I appreciate this was due to external shipping issues, more proactive communication would have been appreciated. Overall, a great product and excellent customer service that I'd happily recommend.

Great customer service and the blinds are perfect really good quality, we love them. The fitters were friendly and got the job done quickly. The only bad thing I would say is that we waited since March till end of July for our shutters which was way too long !!

Everything from the initial appointment, ordering & fitting was first class. Only slight downside was the lead time was a little longer but this was down to the problems in the Middle East so unavoidable.

A shame that the shutters were held up for so long due to shipping problems, not your fault.
We are very pleased with the product and the team who fitted them were excellent.
