This place completely ruined our special day.
We had booked a dinner among the vineyards to celebrate a birthday and were really looking forward to the experience.
Before arriving, I called the restaurant to let them know that we would be running a little late. A man answered the phone, listened to me, and then told me to â**** offâ in Italian before hanging up. I honestly thought I had called the wrong number.
When we arrived at the winery, I called again to ask where we should park. The same man answered and said, âI donât care, we have four parking areas,â before once again telling me to â**** offâ in Italian.
We immediately reported the incident at reception. At first, the receptionist suggested that it might have been their boss and told us not to worry about it. However, we insisted on understanding what was happening and asked them to call the number themselves. During the third call, the same man spoke in an extremely rude and aggressive manner.
At that point it became clear that nobody was interested in investigating the situation and that the staff were simply trying to sweep it under the rug. We decided not to stay and requested a refund, as the dinner had been paid for in advance through their website.
We then had to speak with the manager, who was very reluctant to issue a refund. After about 20 minutes of arguing, we were told that this is simply how people speak in their back office. Only after they contacted the owner were we finally given our money back.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you do not want your celebration or special occasion ruined, stay away.

Your response is disappointing because instead of addressing what happened, you chose to question my credibility and make personal remarks about your guests.
Your comment about us being âtired after driving for 8 hours from Niceâ is particularly inappropriate. Whether we drove for 8 hours or 8 minutes has nothing to do with the way we were treated. A hospitality business should address customer concerns, not make assumptions about its guests.
We arrived at the exact address provided in our reservation confirmation which I received on my email. The receptionist personally witnessed us calling the same phone number from your premises and heard the conversation herself. She was also the only person who knew that we had travelled from Niceâa detail I never mentioned in my review.
This reservation was made to celebrate a birthday. Instead of enjoying a special occasion, we spent our time dealing with rude phone conversations and a lengthy discussion to obtain a refund.
A simple apology could have resolved this situation. Instead, you chose to publicly deny our experience and suggest that we were mistaken.
I stand by my review. Future guests can read both our review and your response and draw their own conclusions.

We have been to several other winery tastings over the years and although the attentive service at Tenuta Torciano was exceptional, the atmosphere was also very nice, the food is well prepared, and the wines sampled were certainly acceptable. The only real disappointment was the presentation during the tasting. Lorenzo, the owner's nephew, although he was engaging, left the group with the impression the experience was less about the wine and more about him. I believe if an older or more experienced host were to mentor Lorenzo during the tastings to better understand the subtleties of hosting and how to maintain focus on the wines and the experience itself, it would leave a better impression and likely sell a few more higher priced bottles.

I have emailed multiple times and am just being ignored. Disgusting service from what is supposedly a famous Italian vineyard.
Do not order ANYTHING from them to be shipped to your home...

Joined the wine club got the first shipment, 2nd shipment was sent to the wrong address. Torciano advised they had correct address and to contact FedEx. Contacted FedEx and they said that Torciano provided the incorrect address. Iâm stuck between the 2 pointing fingers at the other. Torciano customer service has done nothing to help resolve. They are non-responsive to emails. Stay away! Itâs just a waste of money.
Had a wonderful experience having a wine tour here with LILO. Ordered wine and oils and they arrived the day after I returned from my trip. Even better! Thank you!ð

10/26/23 still no action. They sent the help email which I used and 3 days later, no action. I asked for a credit memo.
Overcharged at the vineyard during a tour. I bought (4) items for â¬231and was charged â¬418. I did not discover until I had returned to the US. I started this process for refund on 9/25/23 by the email address given for service. I received my shipment this week but nobody has addressed my refund for overcharging me by â¬187 at the vineyard. I am owed a â¬187 I have requested a credit. Nobody has addressed the overcharge at the company to date.

I visited Tentuna in September absolutely stunning winery.Im Canadian at it was a bucket list dream come true Unfortunately my order that I placed to have shipped to Canada has been a nightmare. I bought 9 bottles of wine 2 bottles of oil,one bottle of balsamic vinegar and a cookbook.Well the wine to come into Canada was 400 dollars and I'm still waiting for the other items which was close to 200 euros just please send me my items and and tracking number it's now nearly December. Lessons learned the hard way visit these beautiful wineries but don't ship home,going to Chile next month will be drinking wine there but will NOT be having any sent home ð

This was a great way to kick off our vacation in Italy! The Winery is beautiful, the food and wine was amazing, and the people are some of the warmest, kindest, most welcoming people I have met.
The entire staff was awesome and a special shout out to our new friend Tony for making our cooking class one to remember!
Do not go on the horse and wine experience. Poor communication - no English guide, no horse riding through the vineyard, need to drive 20 minutes away from the actual property to a horse training center. It is not worth it.
My friend and I had a wonderful experience at an oil and wine tasting in November of 2021, which was included in a day long excursion. From the excellent service, passion for their work, warm environment, and delicious foods-- it was the perfect way to end a long, rainy day. So good that I ordered a case of wine and oils to enjoy at home in the US (which also made for special gifts). Lillo and the rest of the family made for an unforgettable visit. I hope to return to Tenuta Torciano in the future!

Do NOT go to this winery for their Harvest Experience. It is not worth what you have to pay. Customer service and communication was very poor from the very beginning, which should have been my first red flag. It took me almost a week just to book my experience. My emails were ignored, but if I send a Whatsapp message, then someone will answer my email. I finally had my tour booked for 1 week ago. I arrived on time and they were running about 20 minutes late. It wasn't horrible, because they kept me busy with a glass of rose. A nice gentleman takes me out to the vineyard to cut a few grapes while explaining the history of the vineyard. History of the vineyard is standard at even the most basic wine tours. We get to another place where I stomp the grapes for a few minutes. So far, everything seemed ok and what was written in the description of the experience. He then showed me one of the cellars, that had a few tables in the room. Looks like they will have events or dinners in the room with all the barrels. He then took me to the garden room/restaurant for the 4 course lunch with wine tasting. There wasn't any tour of the actual winemaking itself. I didn't see any steel barrels, any of the background of what goes into winemaking. The description that is on their website, along that was sent in their email states,

Not all wine were tasted, but a good many of them were. No field trip visits. There was not harvest lesson, but grape stomping was done. Lesson from top instructors.....absolutely not. Now, the lunch with the wine tasting was very good and I would have recommended that. It is only 55-65 euros. However, I got the same lunch as the people who paid 55-65 euros. There was a truffle hunting tour that started before me and ended after me that also included the same lunch and it was 120 euros. My tour lasted all of 30 minutes. Basically, what I got was the basic tour along with a 4 course lunch, which should have been no more than 100 euros. Yet, they charged me 250 euros! Yup, you're not reading that incorrectly, 250 euros for a 30 minute tour and a 4 course lunch that typically costa 55-65 euros. The next day, I tried to email the winery to ask to speak to someone regarding my tour. I just didn't understand why I didn't get everything that I paid for. A few days later, someone emailed back again giving the description and asking what was wrong. I wrote everything specifically. 5 days went by and no response. I even sent a few messages on whatsapp, which were ignored. I then received an email thanking me for my âsuggestionâ and they want to give me a 50 euro credit to use on their site. Well, that was pretty much a slap in the face. They knew that they didn't give me the whole tour. I pretty much paid more than anyone in that restaurant that day. I specifically asked in the email during booking if the harvest experience was happening, because I knew it may be a little early. They acted like everything was fine. If it was too early or they didn't want to do it, because it was one person, they had every opportunity to tell and I could have went somewhere else, versus them just taking my money. It is just very disappointing and very disheartening. The wine is actually very good, but no business is any good if they do not have good customer service and business model.
The balsamic vinegar is Magnifico! I will only order from Tenuta Torciano from now on. Nothing compares to their olive oil. Both are so flavorful. Their winery is spectacular. The wines are absolutely delicious. I am so happy to be a loyal member! Cheryl Weathers, Harrisburg, PA

Now, on my birthday, because we cannot travel to Ital due to "Mr. Covid", I decided to treat myself and bring the taste of Tuscany to me, right here in Los Angeles!! When I went to visit this winery I feel in LOVE, and I don't say that lightly. The Chianti Collection is a must have in every cellar. Classic, Traditional, San Gimignano wines. Love this place and I plan to go back!

Just ordered more Prosecco in August. It is by far the best I have tasted in all of Italy! It is wonderful that I can order and have it to my house in just about a weeks time. The Torciano Winery is the only place I will order my wines, oils, balsamic vinegar, Prosecco, from since visiting their beautiful winery a couple of times. It is breathtaking and what makes it even more special are the people that run this amazing establishment. The family treats you just like you are a part of their family! Our favorite wine is the Il VIcario Chianti Classico. It is a wonderful tasting wine and we have been ordering it for a few years now. Sometimes we order a variety of reds, mostly Chianti but this is our favorite! The Torciano winery makes it so easy for us to order the wine and we get it in just a few days! Remarkable. We visited the winery about 8 years ago and it was a beautiful experience! Thank you for making such excellent wines and for keeping our amazing experience alive all these years!
