David Coburn has been extremely helpful and kind throughout the process of my divorce. I have felt he has always been on my side and fought my corner which has proven invaluable to me especially after having a bad experience with another firm. I was recommended him by a friend and I would now pass on the recommendation ⭐

Tozers (Newton Abbot) inherited a partway-through conveyance from another law firm (Hutchins Law) which was in a mess. My house purchase was running late and the vendor was getting jittery.

Sarah Mudge took up the reins with efficiency and got everything back to speed at once. She dotted 'i's and crossed 't's and double-checked everything with no time wasted. The to and fro of e-mails was virtually instant and every hiccough was addressed and sorted with meticulous efficiency.

Best of all, Sarah was flexible and proactive - there was certainly no 'ploughing through sand' feeling about dealing with her. She spotted problems and hitches at once and advised on ways of tackling them.

Completion was, thanks to Tozers, on time after all.

Jess Betts was excellent with her Conveyancing in the sale of my current property and purchase of a new build. Whilst the transaction did not go through in the end she was very understanding and was always contactable and approachable. I was even offered a reduced price after the sale fell through as a good will gesture. Whilst they are not on the panel for my current new build property I would certainly use Tozers in Exeter again. What a let down everything was going well then they dropped me half way through then I had a mad rush trying to get someone else to take over. The pathetic reason they gave me was that it was too much work for the quote they gave me. The conveyancer said that I didn't tell him that the property we were selling was in a trust and it wasn't something he wanted to do. Well at no time was I asked if it was in a trust and I didn't mention it because I hadn't thought it would be a problem for him and also I forgot that I had put it in a trust 6 years ago . As I said what a let down at such a stressful time, so I could never say a good word about them except that the reception people were very polite and pleasant.

Fantastic company - excellent service, always on hand to support you, providing exceptional advice from start to finish. We had a very rocky road with estate agents, but working with Tozers was a breath of fresh air.

Exceptional in relaying information and timings with replying to any query. Always very on top of the situation, helping us cruise through an easy mortgage application. We dealt with Jess mostly and she has been fantastic.

If social services are trying to take your children and you need legal representation to help facilitate that process then Tozers are the firm for you. Rest assured they will ignore your instructions to do anything that might help your case and instead delay things until it is too late. I highly recommend Mark Williams for this procedure. He was very good at ignoring an instruction to put in a complaint against social services that would have helped his clients case to keep her baby, and kept telling her that the complaint was a secondary process. Now that they have taken her baby she has realised there is no secondary process and wishes she had never listened to him. Social services on the other hand were very pleased with the result as there was little to no resistance for them to do their dirty deed. So thanks Tozers! Oh and if you complain to them they will be sure to listen intently, agreeing with you and then doing absolutely nothing about it. Trash firm

I received a letter from Mr Kelly from this company on behalf of their client making false defamation of character allegations that were not true. They would not provide name of who had accused me by using my name. This company obviously do not ask for proof or evidence before sending out letters that their clients tell them to. Shameful to cause distress to innocent people in this way.

These guys were great in helping me move house. Were up front about their costs from day 1, persistent in hounding the slow selling estate agent, and helped get us in the house like 6 weeks after we made the offer. Helped explain the entire process to me well as I was a first time buyer. No complaints at all.
