Literally the worse company i have ever known. My daughter has these and had someone hit her on a island totally his fault he even admitted he was heading in a direction that the lane he was in was not for that direction. Firstly called her out and said her fault without seeing any evidence, pictures, road lay out nothing, I had to continually chase for updates or to get them to do anything they then changed to 50/50 stating it could be either due to lay out. I then went to ombudsman who agreed with me and asked for them to reevaluate which after a lot of emails they finally got legal team to look at it and still got same result even though they admitted yet again he could of got confused with the lay out which proves he was in wrong but they refused to change and even had to pay my daughter compensation 4 times due to making a mess of things and not chasing stuff. Not one time have they challenged the third party or even fight for my daughter at all. If anything it felt like we were fighting the third party insurance not hers. It is up end of month and she honestly can't wait to leave them now she is sadly having to take a 50/50 and see her insurance hit the roof due to their pure incompetence and unprofessionalism. DON'T WASTE TIME WITH THIS COMPANY, I BEEN WITH THEM FOR OVER 20 YEARS PLUS AND WHEN IT CAME FOR RENEWAL WAS NOT INTERESTED, THIS WHAT MY BROKER SAID. TAKEN ALL THIS MONEY IN THE YEARS AND THIS WHAT HAPPENS.

“Tradex is the worst insurance company in the world. Even if another policy is more expensive – do not buy from them! It’s the price of your peace of mind. I don’t know anyone who has had insurance with them and would recommend this company. They are scammers who manipulate facts, show no respect for customers, and unlawfully cancel insurance policies for honest clients.”

Called for a quote spoke to a chap called Danny. This guy does not no how to speak to customers. If calls are recorded listen in to how he comes across. Never would I insure with you when you have reps with that attitude.

Worst insurance avoid at all costs! Had fleet policy with them in 2023 spent just under £100k. Had 1 accident which was a clear non fault, they didn’t notify me just paid out the other insurance for damage not even relevant to the accident. Then they tried to push legal proceedings year and half later for driver not being named on the policy (policy is a any driver policy for 25 year plus and under 6 points of which my driver of course fits into) embarrassing from them but shows sort of insurance company they are. Small claim of £3k so wouldn’t have effected me much anyway but for others it will, and if this was a large claim of £50k+ they could completely ruin someone’s business. So don’t risk it just use another insurance company these lot are bad business and operate on bad fundamentals. Also any half decent broker will tell you the same so don’t just take my word for it ask around you’ll see for yourself their reputation.

Dont use this place trying to make me close my business by blackmailing me low life you see in court now also Clegg Gifford is trade x using to names also their services don't work when you try to put a car onto the system.You end up calling up and sitting on the fine for forty five minutes

I do not recommend you people be careful, today they suspended my account for no reason, I did not have a minus, I was in the plus and suddenly my account was cancelled, I got an email that my account is suspended without any reason, where I had 3 accounts bought from them and 3 accounts were lost due to their suspension, no words. Customer service is also a downfall they do not write back I do not recommend it

137878388 This has been going on since the 2nd of July that’s when they cancelled my policy for not providing documentation and also put a fraud flag on the policy I did not receive no email from trades nor budget insurance the broker since then I have provided all the documents required still not resolved been an absolute nightmare

We have used Tradex for many years now, the service has always been adequate. This year however has been appalling, we were asked if we wnated to renew our policy which we did, they managed to change the policy WITHOUT informing us and the ONLY way we discovered this was there was an incident in Portugal, thank god we are going through the Portuguse system, because as I said without notifying us they managed to WITHDRAW the European portion of the insurance. Sadly my partner has dithered about changing to another company so the 14 dy cool off period is something we cannot get out of but just to warn anyone else our premiums are now £696.31 a month for a policy thats not worth the paper they cut down 50 trees to write it on

Worst insurer on the planet. They have not responded to two years worth of communication.

I TOOK A MOTOR TRADE ROAD RISK POLICY FROM TRADEX THOROUGH PIB INDURANCE.
AFTER TAKING INSURANCE I BEEN ASKED SO MANY UNNECCESSARY QUESTIONES EVERY WEEK FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS GIVING ME A LITTLE TIME TO REPLY.
ON WEDNESDAY 28/05/205 I RECIVED A MAIL TO PROVIDE SOME MORE DOCUMENTS,6 READE INVOICE AND CARS LOG BOOKS PAGE 1-3 FOR CARS ON MID.
FTER THAT MY INSURANCE WAS CANCELED WITHOUT DEMANDING ANY MORE DOCS.
I EVEN PHONE TO TRADEXON 07/05/2025 TO CHECK IF THEY HAVE RECEIVED ALL PAPERS THEY DEMANDED OR THEY NEEDS ANYMORE INFORMATIOS OR DOCUMENTS AND I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT MY BROKER AND MY POLICY WAS CANCELLED ON 08/05/2035 WITH OUT ANY EXPLAINATION.
IT AHS RUINED MY BUSINESS.
AFTER CANCELATION OF MY TRADE INSURANCE FROM TRADEX NO ONE WANTS TO INSURE ME ANY MORE AND I CAN NOT RUN MY CAR TRADE BUSINESS WITHOUT TRADE INSURANCE.
IT IS VERY UNFAIR.
I WISH NO ONE GO THOROUGH THIS ORDEAL.

If I could give Them no stars I would. I've been in business for a long time and I've never come across such a shocking company. My story is a long one so I won't bore you with it but if you go with these guys you are in for a world of pain.

Good company

Been a genuine customer of tradex for 3 years , but hiked my insurance by almost 20 percent , I found much cheaper quote and the first lady I spoke to on the phone wasn't even bothered or didn't even help to suggest if there is anyway to make the insurance cheaper. I called again and got through to a gentleman who actually did help and send forward the cheaper quote and they'll see if they can match it. Which they didn't. Tradex was charging me almost £1000 more then last year and £1500 more then the other company. I was a loyal customer I always paid my balance in full without monthly. I enjoyed being with tradex but there is no loyalty such a shame as I would rather have stayed with them. Happy for them to quote me again as my renewal is tomorrow and that lady was very rude over the phone.

As I am not good with computer technology I struggle with forwarding the information you need, however your team are really helpful with this & I eventually get it done. Really good customer service, thank you.

It's ok as insurance, you need to know and inform yourself beforehand about how and what is required for insurance, you need to know what is required for insurance so that the insurer doesn't lie to you and make it higher, the insurance certificate came quickly in a week or so, otherwise everything is ok so far

Keep away from this company trading name Tradex and clegg Gifford Co Ltd.
I have already submit my reasons when I review clegg Gifford Co Ltd .

This years quote is over £500 more than last year.Tried to ring to discuss the increase but unable to get anyone to answer the phone
Been trying several days now and waiting up to 20min ( tried several numbers)
So as renewal date a few days away I tried another company and got through easily and far cheaper quote so Iv gone with them
Sent email to Tradex and Clegg Gifford saying I'm cancelling but no reply as yet
Tried ringing them again but again can't get through

What a worst company ! Customer service ! They looking to scam you ! Not to sell you insurance ! Don’t pay any deposit to them ! Because you won’t take it back .

Don’t use them , they laying they stolen my money !!!! Just after reporting my all claim they told me I’m not reporting 1 one another claim where I told them , I also have a recording with my proof . It’s looks like scam company ! Stay away
