Brill Place to Work!

Valued partner to our organisation

We have worked closely with Train'd Up to deliver our Level 3 Train Driver Apprenticeship programme, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

From the outset, the team has been professional, knowledgeable and incredibly supportive. They take the time to understand our business, our operational requirements and the needs of our apprentices, ensuring that learning is relevant, engaging and aligned to industry standards.
One of Train'd Up's greatest strengths is their extensive rail industry expertise. Their team brings experience from across the railway, providing invaluable insight and real-world context that enhances the learning experience. This depth of operational knowledge means they understand the challenges and demands of the industry and can effectively translate this into meaningful development opportunities for our colleagues.

What truly sets Train'd Up apart is their commitment to the success of every learner. Their assessors and support staff provide excellent guidance throughout the apprenticeship journey, helping colleagues to build confidence, develop new skills and achieve their full potential. Their approach creates a positive learning experience whilst maintaining high standards and accountability.
The impact on our organisation has been significant. Train'd Up has played an important role in developing our people pipeline, enhancing capability and supporting the long-term growth of our business. Never think of working here

Never think of working here
All their positive reviews online are fake.
I left it as they were micromanaging me!
Lots of restrictions, less holidays, tons of work and company has a dictatorship policy. Complaints are never looked after. You are on your own there as you wont be their favourite.

Since this review was posted, Train'd Up has undergone significant change, including a new Senior Leadership Team following the company's acquisition in 2026. We've continued to invest heavily in our people and workplace culture and we're proud to have achieved Investors in People Gold accreditation. This internationally recognised standard reflects our commitment to strong leadership, employee development and creating a positive working environment.

Train’d Up (Railway Training)

Train’d Up are a railway training company based in Scotland.

After three weeks training I passed the basic PTS course which entitles you to work safely on the railway.

Unfortunately this qualification will never earn you full time work. It will enable you to gain yourself a zero hours contract working with a railway agency like Or*on, McG*nley’s or V*tal HR.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in then Train’d Up are the training provider you should choose.

You're right that the Personal Track Safety (PTS) qualification is an essential entry-level certification for anyone working on or near the UK rail network. While it is a mandatory requirement for many rail roles, it does not guarantee employment and is designed to provide the safety knowledge needed before entering the industry.

Since this review was posted, Train'd Up has evolved significantly. We no longer deliver PTS training and now specialise in engineering and rail apprenticeships that support long-term career development.
