Their auto-moderation constantly marks random posts as "mature content" all the time. Due to this, I usually ignored posts getting flagged. There was no way to tell which was actually "offending content" and what wasn't when their system is so faulty. I did not even post explicit pornography. I had less than 6 hours before my account was terminated. I hadn't seen the original e-mail that had given a warning to review my post and the "appeal" banner did not stress that the post could get you terminated. Why don't the warnings get sent within the app at all? Why was there such little time given? I would have deleted any post if I had actually known my blog of 5 years would be gone. The actual e-mail did not even state the flagged content was as strike against my account before my final deletion.

They do not actually value user experience.

They are garbage platform and I wouldn't even bother with them everybody should leave this platform. I changed my email from Gmail to Outlook because all my outlook email goes right into my outlook program so it's a lot easier and when I made the change they terminated my account just like a garbage platform would no wonder why their rating is 1.3

There are huge issues with moderation that are left unchecked. The staff constantly change features which work perfectly to be unintuitive and unnecessary. They go out of their way constantly ruin what gives the site it's own identity and appeal compared to other sites. All this while the moderation is widely unbalanced. They like to target marginalised groups for mild behaviour, such as when a trans person or non-white person makes a slightly raunchy joke, but leave the profiles of openly bigoted people who post blatant racism and hatred for queer people up, and do nothing about the bot problem. I've seen profiles of literal self-proclaimed white supremacist users be left up while they delete the profiles of trans users because their fully clothed selfies were "mature content." You will constantly get hounded by bots on this site and no matter how much you report these spam profiles they will just keep coming and nothing will be done. but you could log in tomorrow and have the UI be rearranged for no reason... it's not that they don't have the means to fix these issues, it's that they don't care.

A complete disaster of a network. They suspended my account with the absurd claim that I “manipulated search engines” just because I reposted my own articles from my personal blog. Total incompetence and zero logic.

Da werden Accounts willkürlich gelöscht, verlogene Doppelmoral, aber noch nicht ganz so schlimm wie Instagram. Aber kaufen würde ich da nichts

This is my GENUINE experience.

Ill be brief:

• this website is a hateful and hypocritical. claims to be supportive of the lgbtqia community, yet the users in there spread negative stereotypes of the community like it's the truth

• if you question their harmful preconceived notions, they will harass, slander and force you out of the site. the hateful conduct also extends off-site as well.

• many of the users also commit the adultization of minors, especially fictional characters who are teens (either early, mid or late teens). while this site claims to be 13+, it does NOTHING to prevent minors from seeing or interacting with the adults with inappropriate conduct involving media made for those under 18. these teenagers are AT RISK because of such users.

• users are NOT afraid of anonymously sending violent threats, harassment and suicide encouragement to those they dislike. Many people have been negatively affected (and I do mean it) because of them.

STAY AWAY FROM TUMBLR AT ALL COSTS. IT IS AN UNSAFE WEBSITE.

I love tumblr's community but its terrible to use. Right now im having a serious problem with deleting messages from deactivated accounts. There's notifications that wont go away because i cant look at or delete the messages. If this doesn't go away the only solution is deleting my account. Also, Sometimes the post button doesn't work and i have to refresh the page which is bad if you just wrote a long post. And sometimes the actual button that you click to do something like like a post or reblog doesn't work and you have to click under the button. Also i miss square profile pictures please bring them back

They have updated their UI to be incredibly ugly and inconvenient and until it is fixed I recommend everyone boycott tumblr.

The only problem I'm having with this website is the inability to load things, images and videos in particular. I'M GETTING REALLY TIRED OF WAITING OVER A MINUTE OF LOADING JUST TO SEE ONE POST!!

Total garbage you come to expect from just about any tech company nowadays. They constantly cram what they want you to see down your throat. Tons of political garbage showing up in my feed each day in spite of my blog being non political and in spite of the fact that I do not follow any political blogs. Constant gay and trans stuff showing up in my feed each day, in spite of the fact that my blog has absolutely nothing to do with nor do I follow any such blogs . Yet, the very topics I follow seldom show up in me feed and must be painstakingly searched out. Over the years this platform has gotten progressively worse to the point that after years of using it, I finally deleted my blog today. Do better tumblr.

Appalling site.
Signed on earlier in 2025 to enhance my pictoral research specifically historic garment construction and extent examples. Over the past two months Tumblr has become very odd & distasteful primarily feeding videos promoting abuse of cats into my "for you" feed. Reporting and complaining about these has ranged from useless to impossible. Deleted my account when Tumblr began pushing drug use & unsafe sex today. This is not a safe site.

Totally inexplicable closure of account. Long automated explanation which includes a mention of a user objecting to a picture I had posted? Which? Don't know. Why? Don't know. Is there an extreme right wing agenda in charge? Seems to fit in with others' experiences

So etwas heuchlerisch habe ich selten gesehen , hier wird alles gepostet , von a-z , Nacktbilder , Pornos , Autos , Natur, alles ist dabei , mein Account wurde gelöscht , weil ich angeblich etwas gepostet habe , ich habe nur eine Meinung eines anderen bestätigt

Theyre ruining the website. Sucks now. Everything that was unique about it is being removed. Trying to be a twitter clone. Constant glitches. Will remove your account for no reason. They do not listen to user feedback and do whatever they want to the site.

I've been unable to see my own posts for quite some time now. I can post, but neither I nor others can see my posts anymore. Additionally, I can't view private messages I receive. I initially thought this was a temporary bug, but it turns out it's permanent. I really want to regain access to these features. Please help me restore my private messages and ensure that other users can see my posts again. This situation is very frustrating.

FINGER WEG DAVON!! Habe einen Stanley Becher bestellt, erst hat es ewig gedauert bis ich den erhalten hatte und dann haben die mir die falsche Farbe geliefert. Ich versuche seit Wochen Kontakt aufzunehmen, aber es erfolgt keine Reaktion!

Sexuelle Belästigung.

Diese App ist sexuelle Belästigung pur. Ich achte immer drauf, nicht auf den Button für diese Shorts oder Reals oder wie auch immer sie dort heißen, zu kommen. Passiert es doch, dreht sich mir der Magen um, was mir dort zugemutet wird. Es ist abstoßend.

Und was ich auch bestätigen kann, Copyright existiert hier nicht. Und wenn, dauert das Löschen ewig. Jeder kann alles Posten, will man aber was geklautes löschen lassen, muss man sich rechtfertigen, als würde man im Knast sitzen, sobald man sich dabei irgendwie vertut.

One year ago, I subscribed to Tumblr. A few days later, my account was terminated. I didn't know why. I contacted the support, but no answer.
A few days ago, they sent me an email asking me to update my payment. Because I didn't have access to my account, I contacted them again. Still no answer.

It's an okay blog site, but taken over by trolls who tried to cancel me because I used certain tag a lot, and I disabled notifications because the comments are nothing but nasty. Never going back.
