SK135 power washer no spares
I bought a SK135 power washer and just out of 2 year warranty it stopped after no more than 12 hours domestic/home use. I established the fault was a little electrical component in the main power feed which i believe to be a protection/ rcd device. I sent pics to
Union mart who said it was a capacitor (odd as the little box identified by them as a capacitor was full of electronic componemts including iter alia inductance coils and a solid state IC. Also the washer ran when I bypassed it and used it for a hour! A dead capacitor wouldn't allow the washer to properly run if at all)
Union mart said there was nothing they can do as they don't keep spare "capacitors" for my washer.
Is that the equipment reliability and customer service you are looking for when buying this sort of thing! Caveat emptor

Good service, but QA could be better!
Delivery was quick, and the crate the welder was in was substantial.... but the welder was dead on arrival.
Having done my research before purchase, I was already expecting to have to open the machine up - and found two connectors had pulled out of their sockets due to a simple lack of cable ties during manufacture. Also tightened all the high-current tags, some of them were decidedly slack.
In summary: a good machine at a reasonable price, but do a quick visual of the insides before plugging it in.

last week I contacted union mart about my tx 850 pressure washer had broke the machine cut out in use and looked back and the petrol tank was hanging off only still connected to the machine by the rubber fuel feed pipe to the engine , the in and outlet water connections on the brass head was both leaking and one was spraying out causing me to loose pressure ,then at first wanted me to send a 80+ kg parcel back at my expense but argue and they said they would send a courier when they did send one they failed to select the correct shipping weight for the curriers so they came and rejected the item which lost me a days pay so had to lose another days pay while they sent another courier the day after they have now had it a week and I have told them I now need the pressure washer back asap as I am now loosing money and alls the customer service member said was there was nothing they can do for me and there is a 3-4 week wait time policy for it to be fixed ,I am self employed and now need this machine for the jobs I have next they havenât got a clue poor poor customer service and a not very robust commercial machine as that was advertised I order for me to buy for work . They also said they would refund me the items that it cost me for pallets and bits for me to secure the item for collection now they saying they canât , they do not care about this end of the line as long as they are selling will not buy again from these.up to a 4 week wait time must mean they have had a lot back and they are not a well built machine
Disgusting, if they were to offer me my money back I would take it and wash my hands with it. Not great when you spend £650 on a product you feel should be good , now they are selling them for £800 not worth the money

Disappointing
I have had to edit and resubmit my review as unfortunately when I bought this arc welder I had been lead to believe by Union Mart advertising on Amazon that it had Tig capability, they informed me the advert was wrong, and they would pick it up if I didnât want it any more which is fine except I had spent £60 on a tig torch to use with it, I asked if perhaps they could exchange for a Tig capable model and perhaps offer me a little discount to compensate me for spending money needlessly based on their advert, I didnât feel this was unreasonable and they have chosen to ignore me.
My thinking on the above stars is as follows:
I gave 5 stars based on arc capability assuming it could Tig (as thatâs what they told me) so Iâve halved the 5 stars as it only does half of what I was expecting then deducted the other half star based on the terrible customer service, they have ignored my emails since I pointed out that they had misadvertised the product, so I think a generous 2 stars is fair most people would only give 1!
I note they have now changed the Amazon listing so at least no one else will be mislead! At least I have the screen shots to send to Trading standards ð
So in conclusion, not a bad basic little Arc welder but nothing more, and I wouldnât expect much customer service as they donât even reply to emails
