I've had consistently positive experiences with United Carpets & Beds. The staff are knowledgeable and genuinely make you feel valued, always eager to assist with any queries or needs. They offer helpful services, like coming out to measure and providing quotes, which streamlined the whole process. The fitters are punctual, polite, and do an excellent job, addressing any issues effectively without extra cost. The variety of flooring options is impressive, and I appreciate the convenience of being able to pick up off-cuts for pets. I’ve used their services before and will definitely return. Four stars for their reliable and customer-focused service!

Great selection of flooring and the fitters did a great job.

They are not helpful post fitting at all. You raise a complaint and it doesn’t get acknowledged or dealt with. They don’t even bother calling back.

Organisation from booking the service to the fitters coming out is chaos, they all turned up on different days as didn’t know when they were meant to be there.

Wouldn’t use again - shame as the fitters are all nice people and clearly know their trade.

Shame I can’t put zero stars as the fitters caused so much damage to my property even in rooms that weren’t being carpeted it has cost me £300 which I didn’t have as a single mum to put right the damage they caused the manager of the Leicester shop said she would contact the fitters and get back to me as they are insured for this but a month later and nothing from them even after several attempts by myself to contact the manager again wouldn’t recommend at all very poor customer service and care once they have your money they don’t care

I had an extremely disappointing experience with United Carpets. Initially, we were told fitting would be free, but there was no clear pricing breakdown. We had to return the next day to get details on charges per square meter for the carpet and underlay. The job was promised to be completed in two days, but this timeline was not adhered to.
The carpet fitters installed reject carpets in two rooms and repeatedly asked for money, despite our agreement to pay upon completion. They wore their shoes indoors without covers, and one fitter claimed he couldn’t remove them for health and safety reasons but later took them off towards the end of the job, when he seen me looking contradicting his earlier statement.
When I reported the faulty carpets, the store promised replacements and better underlay, but there were still delays and the barrier matting was not ordered on time. On the first day, one fitter aggressively demanded money, claiming he needed to attend his son’s birthday party. Another fitter was extremely rude and yelled at me when I tried to check the work.
The installation was poorly executed with underlay not properly fitted, gaps in the carpet, and a shoddy finish on the stairs. I had to visit the store five times, and the job remains incomplete and substandard. Despite being promised free fitting, I was charged £270. Overall, the service was highly unprofessional and frustrating.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with United Carpet and Beds in Leicestershire. From the moment I walked into the store, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The staff seemed disinterested and unhelpful, more focused on chatting among themselves than assisting customers.

When I finally managed to get someone’s attention, the salesperson’s knowledge about their products was shockingly limited. They couldn’t answer basic questions about carpet materials or bed frame durability. It was frustrating trying to get any useful information.

I decided to go ahead and purchase a carpet and a bed, hoping the actual products would be better than the service. Big mistake. The delivery was delayed by two weeks without any notification from the store. I had to constantly call for updates, and each time, I was met with vague answers and empty promises.

When the items finally arrived, the bed was damaged, and the carpet was a different color than what I ordered. The delivery team was rude and refused to help resolve the issues. It took numerous calls and a lot of persistence to get them to agree to a replacement.

Even then, the replacement process was a nightmare. The new bed and carpet were delivered another three weeks later, and to my dismay, the carpet still wasn’t the correct color. At this point, I was fed up and asked for a refund.

Getting a refund was another uphill battle. The store manager was uncooperative and tried to deny my request, blaming me for the mix-up. It took escalating the issue to higher management to finally get my money back.

Overall, my experience with United Carpet and Beds was nothing short of a disaster. Poor customer service, inadequate product knowledge, delivery delays, and faulty items – this store has it all. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place and take their business elsewhere.

The sales assistant was very helpful and tried his best to get me the best deal within my budget and gave me some different options. I've used United carpets in the past and they were very good with the carpet fitting and quick .

Absolutely amazing service from start to finish

The fitter was very good and did an amazing job.

Appalling service, I ordered a kings pen grey carpet and you fitted a kings sil carpet with a complete different name on my receipt to the carpet fitted. I made a complaint in store and asked for a manager to call back and resolve the issue the morning after the carpet was fitted, instead the sales agent called and started telling me the name on the carpet paper work is the size only and blatantly liars to me, I asked for a manager to call to escalate my complaint and I’m still awaiting a call 6 days later, shocking customer service when you made the mistake, not me!!! Will Never pass on your company name as you’re so unprofessional. My experience is shocking.

The fit of my vinyl flooringin my bathroom is horrendous 😫 the sealant around the shower base leaves a lot to desire unfortunately 😐 not good at all

Carpet is lovely and the fitters were professional.

Had striped carpet fitted to stairs and landing. The stair carpet is aligned perfectly but the landing carpet is 30mm out of line. I rang to complain and was given loads of excuses to which i responded the carpet just removed was striped and lined up fine, after a couple of conversations and sending loads of pictures I was told they would contact me back and not to worry they would get it sorted. Now 3 months and heard nothing.
