the laminate it was a 24£ a square meter and and it was so bad quality i thought it would be so much better than that !

The staff in the store were great and I want that to be acknowledged, however the men that fitted the carpet were rude and unhelpful when I asked them to help put the old carpet in a close by storage area. I did explain when i ordered the carpet that I have reduced mobility.

Was the cheapest place that we found for the bed we wanted.
Delivery process is not the best with time slot given the same day of delivery.
IMO the sales staff were overly pushy but friendly

Onerous 20% cancellation fee on stock items - even before delivery
"We recently purchased a roll end carpet from United Carpets for £430 (plus a £69 fitting fee). Before any delivery or fitting took place, we realized the shade wasn't right and asked to cancel. We were then informed of a 20% cancellation charge on the carpet—a loss of £86.
I’ll hold my hands up and admit I signed the invoice, which mentions terms on the back. However, at the point of sale, it was very much a case of 'sign here' to complete the transaction, rather than any effort to ensure I had read or understood the restrictive terms on the reverse.
For a stock 'roll end' that hasn't been delivered or fitted, an £86 penalty feels incredibly excessive. The store offered a full-value swap, which proves they suffer no actual financial loss by taking this pre-cut item back into stock. However, because we’ve decided to go elsewhere, they are insisting on keeping the £86.
Under the Consumer Rights Act, cancellation fees must reflect a 'genuine pre-estimate of loss.' It is hard to see how a few minutes of admin justifies an £86 charge for a stock item that is still sitting in the shop. Helpful staff initially, but let down by a heavy-handed penalty clause that feels designed to lock your cash in."
****Edit*** Also escalated via customer service email, had a response, they've spoken to the local branch who've called me and offered full refund. Greatly appreciated.

Started off great but ended disappointing
We went into store just to browse, we were greeted by a lovely young lad we wanted a stairs, front room and bedroom carpet we explained we had a big dog so would need carpets that are hard wearing he was really helpful showed us some.
I wanted herringbone for the stairs which he showed us one that was even bleachable, we liked the carpet in the showroom so he shown us that one in the colours we liked and said it was the best underlay that’s why it was springing we didn’t have a budget we just wanted the best for us
So we went with that carpet for both front room and bedroom
The fitter did the bedroom and front room first he was great
A week later they came to do the stairs, it took them a good while because of the carpet style he said it was a lovely carpet but pulls easy, don’t know why you have this when you have a dog, you’ll need another one in 6 months
This wasn’t mentioned in the show room at all and he was right within week it has pulls all over it, plus both front room and bedroom, I’m really disappointed to be honest.
Also the stairs fitters stole 2
cups that I made them a cuppa in

Very annoyed customer
We were just getting our new house ready and furnished before moving in and the week prior to the carpet being fitted paid for a decorator to do the painting throughout the house We bought an expensive carpet for our stairs and landing from United Carpets. The fitter arrived and we told them to be very careful as the walls had just been painted. When he had gone we noticed that there was marks on the walls from top to bottom. We phoned United Carpets and they said that it wasn’t down to them and that we had to sort it out with the fitter. They got him to ring me and after telling him what was the problem totally denied it was him even though the patterns on the wall suggested that the carpet had been unrolled down the stairs marking the wall as it was done. United carpets haven’t resolved this problem so therefore we and the rest of our family won’t be using them again. It seems once they have your money you are on your own.
