As a family of 5 we enjoyed a 3 week trip which included the Peru classics like Paracas, Ica, Arequipa with Colca Canyon, Puno including Uros and Taquile + stay in Luquina, 4 days Bolivia with the Uyuni saltlake and all its magnificent lagoons and volcanos, and finished in Cusco with the Sacred Valley and the Inca trial towards Macchu Picchu.
We trusted Vamos with all the practicalities and they did this perfectly, all transfers, hotels and trips were flawlessly arranged, the guides were well knowledgeable, good english speaking and very helpful so we got a superb high class service during the complete trip with direct Whatsapp messages so they deserve the highest recommendation!

Our 17 days road trip in Peru in August 2019 was a fantastic experience. We visited the coast, the desert, the mountains and canyon, the Inca civilization and the jungle. Because of the excellent organization by Vamos Expeditions we were able to do this trip without any stress. We never had to wait, there was always a guide or driver waiting for us. When something unexpected occurred, the organization immediately arranged an alternative. For the adults and children (9-17 years old) it was an unforgettable experience.

Onze 17-daagse roadtrip door Zuid-Peru kon niet beter. We waren op reis met twee families met kinderen van 9, 11,12,14 en 17 en hadden de tijd van ons leven, dankzij Vamos Expeditions. Op elke locatie werden we opgewacht, stond een lokale gids ter beschikking en was alles tot in de puntjes geregeld. Op die manier hoefden we enkel te genieten van dit wondermooie land. Zelfs als de lokale bevolking onze weg blokkeerde, zorgde Annelies en het Vamos-team voor een handige oplossing, zodat we toch onze reis konden verderzetten. Ik zou het iedereen aanraden om met Vamos in zee te gaan. Je kan er je eigen programma samenstellen op basis van je interesses en budget. Wat we in 17 dagen allemaal konden zien (Lima, Paracas, Ballestas Island, sandboarding in Ica, Arequipa, condors in de Colca Canyon, Homestay in Lake Titicaca, Cusco,Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Jungle, ....) kon enkel doordat alles zo super georganiseerd was. Ook onze kids genoten met volle teugen. Deze reis zullen we nooit vergeten. Bedankt Annelies en het Vamos-team.

We had a 15-day family tour organized by Vamos from Lima to Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Puno, Cuzco, and Puerto Maldonado. The trip was well organized, with a focus on sustainable tourism, and our guides were very knowledgeable. Overall this trip met our expectations, and we particularly enjoyed the authentic Peruvian experiences on the floating islands and the peninsula in Puno. Highly recommended.

Our school group of over 50 people organized an entire month in Peru through Vamos Expeditions. Our experience was incredible from start to finish. Students were provided cultural experiences through Vamos that were purposeful, respectful of the communities in which we stayed, and unforgettable. Our two guides were professional as well as warm and welcoming - the students and chaperones alike turned to them for information, guidance and support during our stay. I have only the highest praise for Vamos and our school will continue to work with them (as will my family when we plan a trip to Peru)!

I did the short version of the Inca trail and my skilful guide explained me about the ancient history of macho puchi and flora along the way.

Als je aan een reis in Zuid-Amerika denkt, informeer zeker eerst bij Vamos,Annelies en haar team. Zij maakte in november 2018 mijn grote droomreis waar. Ik reisde al eerder met haar naar patagonie en nu dus nr de galapagoseilanden ( plus nr het nevelwoud en het Amazonewoud bij een indianenstam in ecuador). Een reis met zoveel variatie en indrukken! Qua organisatie liep er totaal niks fout.

Een reisbureau waar je een persoonlijke service krijgt en waarvan je duidelijk merkt dat ze geven om de klant en de lokale bevolking in Peru.

I have never met a more honest, caring and passenger devoted tour guide as Annelies. She was my tour guide in Peru in 2003 (the first time I ever left the US.) Since then she has been my guide in numerous South and Central American countries. I met my wife on a Costa Rica tour with Vamos Expeditions in 2013 when Annelies was our guide.

It’s easy to say that Vamos Expedition’s trips are well organized and perfectly planned . But their real skill is in their knowledge of local customs and connections with local guides. Unplanned hiccups are inevitable in any guided tour. Whether it is a passenger needing a doctor or an unreliable local transportation, Annelies handled these events seamlessly and perfectly every time.

Everyone needs certain trusted professionals in life. A doctor, an accountant, a mechanic, etc. Annelies is my tour guide. (and of course her entire team). I wouldn’t travel with anybody else.

Zeer goede klantenservice en ongelofelijke reiservaring. Alles werd zeer vlot geregeld via email. Ze hielden rekening met al onze wensen en vragen. Zeer vriendelijke lokale gidsen, alles liep zeer vlot, we konden ook minder gekende plaatsen bezoeken en je voelde dat ze een zeer goede samenwerking hebben met de inheemse gemeenschappen.

I have been on 4 different Vamos Expeditions trips over the years. A 22-day trip to Peru/Bolivia, a 15-day trip to Argentina and Chile, a 9-day trip to the Galapagos and another 12-day trip to Peru (the Peruvian Amazon and the beaches 6 hours south of Peru).

All of my trips were well organized, filled with amazing activities, delicious food, knowledgeable English speaking guides and everything we could ask for in traveling abroad such as all the famous sites, not-so-famous sites and those little off the beaten track places/restaurants as well. We like Vamos so much we took our 3 1/2 year old son on our last trip.

I highly recommend Vamos Expeditions! I will be doing a Costa Rica trip with them in 2019.

Thanks to Vamos Expeditions, my trip to Peru was excellent, could not have been better. I did private tours of Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu with Vamos Expeditions. For every tour, I had an ideal companion, someone who could show and explain everything according to my interests. The guides were experienced, knowledgeable, considerate, and friendly.

In Lima, my guide spoke English quite fluently and we communicated perfectly. In the high country in and around Cusco, I had Patty for Cusco and Sacred Valley and Wilber for Machu Picchu and they were both excellent. They both were native-Quechua people who spoke advanced-level English and knew the sites deeply and intimately and could explain the places we visited very well, bringing them to life, putting them into cultural context, and providing insights I valued. And I enjoyed being with them. Driving in Peru is obviously challenging and stressful but my drivers remained good-natured. Andres, the Cusco-based driver, was especially good.

Vamos Expeditions offers many types of tours throughout Latin America and they can customize your time with any combination you want, fitting with your schedule. I’m going back to Peru as soon as I can. This was my first time there and I had only ten days. I didn’t know how interesting and beautiful Peru would be. There is much more I’d like to see of Peru and I’ll definitely work closely with Vamos Expeditions on all future visits.

Wij hebben een zorgeloze vakantie gehad in Peru & Bolivia gehad en dit was vooral te danken aan de perfecte organisatie van Vamos Expeditions. Vanaf de aankomst op de luchthaven van Lima tot en met het vertrek 3 weken later werden wij perfect begeleid door het team van gidsen en chauffeurs, op die manier konden wij perfect genieten van onze vakantie zonder ons om iets anders te hoeven bekommeren. Wij waren op het ogenblik dat de twee treinen botsten onderweg naar Machu Picchu op de trein aan het wachten om ook naar Machu Picchu te reizen en onze gidse Marisol heeft hemel en aarde verzet zodat we dezelfde avond toch nog de trein konden nemen naar Aguas Calientes, er reden die avond maar 3 treinen meer, en ondaks de chaos en de vele wachtende reizigers zijn wij toch met de eerste trein kunnen vertrekken!!! Top!
Op iedere tussenstap werden we perfect opgevangen door iemand van Vamos om ons naar hotel of verdere bestemming te begeleiden.
