Stop emailing me and pretending you're affiliated with Companies House.

Edited because the spam company has apparently asked Trustpilot for more details and has appended an idiotic reply asking me to contact them:

First of all, I do not want to contact these people. That is the point of this review. I never asked for them to contact me, have never had dealings with them, and if I never hear from them again it will be too much.

Secondly, I received two emails from this so-called 'business', the first on the 29th June, the second on 6th July, identifying a company I manage and addressing me by a mangled version of my own name, "Hi Firstname Middlename, Honorific,*|ELSE|*Hi there," telling me (as I well know) that my confirmation statement is shortly due and providing dubious links in the email telling me how to do it. As said above, I have never had any dealings with a real business of this name, and I can only assume my details were obtained illicitly and stored in violation of the data protection act.

I am now reporting 'verifymyclient' (implied to be a subsidiary of 'folio') to Companies House for fraudulent behaviour.

Edited again because after providing the additional details that the spam company requested through Trustpilot, the spam company flagged my review as being defamation, which Trustpilot dismissed! Which tells you everything you need to know! Companies House have replied to my complaint and advised that any dubious emails about confirmation statements and suchlike from third parties should be forwarded to their phishing department.

The most important aspect was that when they were queries the company acted promptly and efficiently

We have never been a customer of this company and never provided them with our contact details. Nevertheless, they continue sending unsolicited emails to a non-public business email address that is not publicly listed anywhere.

The fact that they are contacting private, unpublished addresses raises serious concerns about the source of their data and their compliance with data protection and anti-spam regulations. Rather than building trust, these repeated emails have had the exact opposite effect.

We will be reporting these messages to the relevant email service providers and reviewing whether further complaints should be filed with the appropriate authorities.

In our experience, this is not a professional way to approach potential customers and has significantly damaged our confidence in this company.

We can no longer tolerate the harassment caused by the constant emails from VerifyMyClient. This is simply not acceptable.

Even when a company has already completed its ID verification, the system continues to bombard users with emails and reminders. The volume and persistence of these messages have become excessive and frustrating.

You need to either fix this software so that it stops sending unnecessary reminders once verification has been completed, or stop using it altogether. In its current form, it feels intrusive and amounts to harassment.

I left a review on here last month discussing how I was being spammed by so many emails from Verifymyclient. Today I have received one from Trustpilot saying that Verifymyclient are contesting my review and seeking all my details as they are saying I am not their client.

This is true. I was not their client. I was complaining about being constantly scammed by a company claiming I was non-Companies House Compliant.

I know I was compliant, and they were spamming me telling me I wasn't. Now it looks as though the last review will be taken down as I am not their customer.

But you do not need to be a customer to know that you are being scammed by false emails.

My recommendation would be not to pay for a company to do what you can do yourself.

Struggled for nearly six weeks get verified. Came across Verifymyclient. Two separate filings done within, get this, seconds.

Thoroughly recommended.

I agree that receiving too many emails is annoying, and I can understand why some people are frustrated by that.

That said, the new Companies House requirements annoyed me even more. Of course, this is something that can be done without using VerifyMyClient, and no one is forced to use a paid service.

But in my particular case, once I translated my time and effort into money, paying for their service made sense. The process saved me a good amount of time, reduced the hassle, and helped me deal with something I really did not want to spend hours figuring out myself.

For me personally, it was a good deal, and I’m glad I used them.

Addressing the administrative complexities associated with Companies House, I, as a multi-company director, initially harbored concerns regarding the recent regulatory updates. However, the implementation of Verify My Client streamlined this process considerably. Furthermore, Mr. Jorge's guidance rendered the entire procedural navigation remarkably efficient and reassuring.

Daily spam, and I am not in the UK so don't have to deal with UK regs. If I was in the UK I wouldn't deal with them on principle, given their abuse of my inbox and hyped up wording of their emails to try and panic me into action.

Emailing every couple of days using fear tactics. Must have got a list of emails from Companies House. Tried to unsubscribe a few times but impossible. So blocked. Agree this is a spammy non-GDPR compliant company. Relentless!

Relentless daily emails telling me I need to verify on Companies House. 1. Who asked you? 2. When did I give you permission to email me? 3. I was already verified way before your first email. Spammy non-GDPR compliant company.

Relentless spammers, sending emails warning of threatened fines and penalties (all the bad stuff in bold type).

So far they have sent an email a day for the last fortnight or more, with escalating levels of threat.

Their business model (which they have used in the United States with real estate verifications) is to find services you can do yourself relatively easily for free, then use high pressure emails to tell you they will do it for you, implying strongly without saying so that they are the only approved provider or are part of the regulatory body.

Although there is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of their emails, since they don't put their company details in their emails, I have no trust that it's not just a link to download malware.
