Extremely dangerous platform—avoid at all costs!
This site operates with a predatory business model. They list tickets they do not even possess, effectively baiting sellers and buyers. When I requested to cancel a listing due to the risk of not receiving the tickets, they refused. Instead, they forced me to keep the listing active, trapping me in their system. They wouldn't even let me manage my own inventory—they prevented me from adjusting the price or simply releasing the tickets, turning what could have been a simple transaction into a nightmare.
The most unethical part is their payment policy. They withhold the seller's funds until after the concert, often taking up to 6 months to pay out. By holding onto millions of dollars from thousands of users simultaneously, they generate massive interest and profit for themselves while the users are left with all the risk.
They claim to offer a 'guarantee,' but it is essentially a spider web: once you are in, they hold your money hostage and make it impossible to get out. They collect hefty commissions from both the buyer and the seller, yet take zero responsibility for the delivery of the tickets. This is a clear case of a platform exploiting user anxiety and technical complexity for their own financial gain.
Save yourself the stress, the risk, and your money. Do not trust this site!!!

I purchased x 1 child and x 2 adult tickets to attend the Melbourne State of Origin game in June 2026. I purchased the tickets in May 2026 the tickets arrived via email approximately five days prior to the game. To my pleasant surprise I received 4 ADULT TIX, all seated nexted to one another. I was greatly surprised and invited my sister to come to the game with us. We were sitting in section M11 in row p meters from the field game and it was the best experience I could possibly have imagined....everyone I spoke to said it was an absolute scam and that I would be rorted but to be truthfully honest it was the best bloody night I could have ever had - my husband, sister and daughter all enjoyed every minute!!! No issues with tickets No issues with entry using the QR codes and we were able to get in and out of the MCG all night it (we are smokers) it was fantastic thank you ViaGoGo for a great night!!!!

THANK YOU Viagogo, State of origin tickets 2026 with the BEST seats in the house at reduced price. After reading and seeing so much negative reviews I was pretty worried especially receiving tickets 3hrs before the game that is my reason for 4 stars otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Reasonable price for last minute tickets

We paid $490 for 2 concert tickets to the Guns N’ Roses show at Eden Park in New Zealand in December 2026. Although the event has not yet taken place, we became concerned after the purchase because several red flags appeared regarding the validity and delivery of the tickets.
1. I selected specific seats during the purchase process. However, after payment, the numbered seats were no longer shown on our tickets, and we still cannot view the exact seat numbers. When we contacted viagogo customer service, we were told only that we would be seated together, but the representative could not clearly explain the row, the seat locations, or why the originally selected seat details were no longer visible.
2. When we asked when the tickets would be provided, we were told they would only become available at 2:00 PM on the day of the event. This raised further concern because tickets are usually available earlier, and the full ticket details are generally visible in advance, even for electronic tickets.
3. We also contacted Eden Park directly and were informed by a correspondent that tickets purchased through viagogo were not valid for entry at the venue. This significantly increased our concern that the tickets sold to us may not be legitimate or usable.
4. When we explained these concerns to the customer service agent, she responded by describing how good their business was rather than addressing the issues we raised, and she did not offer any resolution.
We have retained supporting evidence, including receipts and copies of 2 chat conversations with customer service.
Based on the concerns outlined above, we would like a full refund of $490 for the 2 tickets purchased.

Booked Disney on ice. Was given a countdown window to secure tickets. The site said they would get us the best tickets for the $$ so i purchased them. They came up first on google as a paid site. When we got to the event we were right near the back and hardly anyone was in front of us for approximately 20 rows. The event was not a long event so i was surprised it was this expensive. The next morning i checked some other sites to find the price to be about $300 cheaper than we had paid. I then checked reviews and VIAGOGO had been previously reprimanded and made to pay back millions. How can a business be aloud to operate under this cimcumstances?!

really predatory sales tactics- got resold far over inflated tickets for a sporting event then found out on the legitimate ticket website they were from that they were all junior tickets- a fact that was not listed on the Viagogo listing dodgy website avoid at all costs

Very poor! Overpriced tickets to start with and they state 2% of ticket left, but after purchasing tickets and realizing this is a scam, I found out that the authentic tickets were no even on sale at that time.
When they supposedly sent me the tickets, I could not save them in anyway, tried to contact Viagogo and could not make contact at all. I purchased other tickets through the official channels and then attempted to on sell through Viagogo but again, was unable to access their site.
Never use this company ever!

I have used the website twice, found good prices for tickets, the process was easy.

If I could give Viagogo minus 5 points I would. They set their site up to resemble the official ticket seller for an NRL game and sold me tickets for double the actual price, plus a near $100 booking fee that they did not tell me about. They simply should not be allowed to operate in Australia. I have initiated a charge back against them but we will see how that goes. Never, ever buy anything from their website. It is an absolute scam.

This company attempted to charge a booking fee of $79. Per ticket on an order for two tickets ( not disclosed till the payment screen) this on top of tickets that were &100 above the Ticketek price. Dirty tricks and terrible prices. Stay away.

Terrible experience. I purchased tickets months in advance and still had not received them as the event approached. I contacted customer service multiple times, explained that I had booked accommodation based on the purchase, and asked for assistance.

Rather than receiving a clear solution, I was repeatedly told to wait. The tickets were never delivered and I missed the event.

The lack of communication, uncertainty and customer service made this an incredibly frustrating experience. I will never use Viagogo again.

Advertised as three available tickets, with a clear view of the event and seats together. I paid a significant amount based on this listing, as the seats were available and in the exact location I wanted.

However, after payment, I was informed that the tickets may not be issued until up to the day of the event, potentially as late as four hours before start time. It was also stated that, in some cases, the seller may change their mind and the tickets may not be provided at all.

This means tickets are effectively being resold without guaranteed ownership or immediate transfer. Buyers are asked to commit full payment while carrying the risk of not receiving tickets until the last minute, or potentially not at all.

This is extremely poor practice. Unless tickets are guaranteed and transferred at the point of purchase, the system leaves buyers exposed and unable to confidently attend the event.
