THEY ARE NOT TRUTHFUL Record of loss and inconvenience — My vehicle held for ~2 months, inability to pay for repairs until promised funds in lieu NEVER arrived, stress and unfair treatment.- They cannot act like this: They entered into a clear, written settlement; I performed my side (returned hire car) — now they unilaterally change terms only after I have done what they asked. This is bad faith and unfair contract practice. VMS FLEET MANAGEMENT CAN NEVER BE TRUSTED.

Absolutely Disgraceful Service – 4 Weeks and Still Waiting
An Iceland driver reversed into my car and left me with a damaged boot, rear bumper and serious alignment issues. I submitted every piece of evidence and photos they asked for — and yet 4 weeks later, my car is STILL not fixed. Unbelievable.
I have had to chase them constantly. I email every other day and get complete silence unless I physically call them and demand a reply. How is that acceptable?
I even went out of my way to get independent quotes to support their engineer — and they still couldn’t care less. Total waste of my time and energy.
VMS clearly have no interest in actually helping their customers. The communication is non-existent and the whole process has been beyond frustrating. Do yourself a favour and avoid them completely.

I recently hired a van for one day use and everything went well initially, vms promptly answered the phone, got me a van at short notice and were very friendly on pick up. The handover driver ran through very limited info until I prompted him like what fuel does the van run on, whats the vehicle height for bridges, how does the tail lift work etc. On a smart phone, he quickly got me to sign five things and he noted a small dent as damage prior to rental. I asked when did I need to return the van he first said whenever and then said before closing same day. I rushed to complete what I needed, refilled the van with more fuel than when I had it, cleaned the van front and rear (to avoid any extra costs....) On return they advised checks would need to be done the following day and low and behold they have now tried to charge me for the damage noted to the van prior to rental, a missing tyre kit that I was not shown prior to rental, missing floormats which again were not there prior to rental and cleaning to the driver footwell which showed extremely minor wear on a day when it was tipping it down with rain and gale force winds. Tried to call to discuss but both head office and the local Tamworth depot are not answering. I cant believe this has happened after researching "good" local van hires to avoid being scammed. I'm devastated after taking care of the van, doing very low milage, putting more fuel in than necessary and cleaning to then receive an email - not a call - advising my rental was under investigation for damage/missing items. I have no idea how I can prove something wasnt there to start with when I didnt know it existed in the first place! Really disappointed by the whole experience and wish I hadnt used this company. I'm still trying to get in touch but phone system just keeps looping round. Avoid.

Hire car was dropped off to my work... key was handed to reception, but no paper work was handed over, just the key which was held together with brown parcel tape. When I inspected the vehicle, there was damage all over plus the battery in the key needed replacing which I took videos and pictures of.
Whilst driving home on the dual carriageway, at 58mph the car started to shake at the rear, I Contacted VMS to inform them that I have no paper work or anyone to verify the damage with, and also about the rear of the car shaking at 60mph. They sent over a copy of the paper work via email. To my shock the driver and forged a signature with a squiggly line and there was additional damage to the vehicle which was not marked down. They said someone would be in touch in reference to a replacement vehicle. 2 days past and no contacted from them. Ended up taking the car to guildford tyres to get the rear wheels check which i paid for myself... both rear wheels where out of balance one wheel needed 180g to balance it out.
Contacted John Galt at VMS and emailed a copy of the invoice from Guildford tyres to him... said he would get it sorted out and I would be reimburse....
2months later and over a dozen of emails and phone calls I STILL HAVEN'T RECIEVED A REFUND. So this is still ongoing.

Base on my experience with this company I would not recommend them.

VMS Bridgend - Didn't realise this company existed, but we couldn't get the van we wanted from the usual, well known company in our area, so we had to search and found VMS. And what a great range of vans they had, and exactly what we wanted. Very competitive rates, very helpful staff, and a great discovery for us!

VMS Tiverton hired a van to help my son move house, staff were very helpful and Steve who dealt with my initial query was extremely professional with and efficient

Great service and value for money, hired a Luton van, would hire from them again.

I needed a hire car quickly, as my car was being repaired. I initially spoke to Steve, who was really helpful, confirming that they only had one available. He told me the details and followed this up with emails. I consequently collected the Fiat Tipo the next morning. A great car, handed to me by Trevor, after doing all the checks and explaining things. On returning the vehicle, again this was quick and easily done by Trevor. Very happy with the service I received, I would definitely recommend VMS!

QUALITY VEHICLE, EASY FAST SERVICE AND TURNAROUND, MAYBE VEHICLE DERVICING COULD BE IMPROVED. WILL DEFINATELY USE THEM AGAIN

VMS Tiverton Outstanding
I hired 2 vans from VMS Tiverton to move house, the team at the Tiverton office were so helpful and flexible. We were unsure on the completion date of our move until 5 days before and they were happy to accomodate changes to the booking. That flexibility continued on the day when at the last minute I asked to stagger collection of the vans. The Vans were both less than a year old and very easy to drive. It was a very reasonable price, the team were all very friendly, helpful and they made this part of a very stressful house easy. I will be using them again, Thank you!

After calling for an enquiry when shopping around and VMS felt very honest and non pushy. I later went into the Tiverton office and felt comfortable booking a van. On collection everything was easy and on return someone was waiting to greet me thanks to van tracking. The van itself was just what I needed and felt reliable. Great value for money, all hire details explained and I will use them again.

Very helpful and accommodating in changing hire dates

From the moment we looked into hiring a van they were great, very organised and accommodating. The vans are clean, well looked after and there is plenty of sizes to suit your needs. I highly recommend them, very reasonable prices as well.

The whole process from start to finish was smooth and couldn’t ask for more. Pricing is very good and genuinely nice people who I dealt with throughout. Definitely would use them again and recommend to any friends

We are still waiting for you to resolve the broken down car you gave my wife last December. The breakdown service you talked so highly of land contract detain the glove box, that left her stranded alone late at night at a petrol garage.
I roughly had a hour round trip to go and pick her up and her back home. It’s now march how much time do you need exactly to resolve this. Very poor service
