This is our second time hiring from Shafiur and his team, This time we hired a California for a two week road trip to Scotland.
The camper was practically new, with the most impressive all terrain wheels, I was told by a young lad that my wheels were sick!!! made my holiday.
Being able to set the air con in the back of the camper was a real game changer, as we were traveling with our dog and the weather was really hot.
The camper is very well equipped with everything you need, We were particularly impressed with the capacity of the fridge which is run off a leisure battery and the chairs that slot into the roof.
It was easy to drive and park, going under most car park hight barriers. Only had to jump out twice to double check!!!!
Thanks to the extensive range of campers on offer to hire, and the customer service that Shafiur and his colleagues show, we are already planning our 3rd hire, and want to try out the Grand California, just for comparisons and research purposes, and nothing to do with that fact that they have a shower and toilet

Exceptional service from Shafiur and Adriana - easy to book and great handover from Robbie, explained the vehicle so well before use. Put me at ease on the driving experience and it really does drive like a car - as a female driver that was a little daunted at the prospect of a big van - it was so easy and a pleasure to drive! Warning sensors, back up camera and easy cruise control - Needless to say I did not put a scratch on it!! Leisure battery lasted the whole week and easy to charge while driving, Gas lasted the whole week, and even used heating all night. Very economical on diesel and for a family of 4, husband, wife and 14 yr old boy, 10 yr old girl - absolute dream holiday all over north Cornwall and Devon.

Easy, clear & quick to book online. A team of very considerate and capable humans backing that up and stepping in to help and advise. Nice folks. We were able to change our booking at very short notice. Bonus: Get the hire cost reimbursed if you subsequently buy a van. The hire cost is reasonable in any rate.

We hired a VW Amarok for a weeks holiday in Scotland.
The vehicle was new, in pristine condition, and excellent value for money.
Adriana and Shafiur were great to deal with. And compared with previous car hire exeriences, we wouldn't use anyone else. Highly recommended.

Shafi has always been so helpful whenever we’ve needed to hire a car or van. No ask is too big for him and he’s always very responsive and gives great customer service. Speak to Shafi if you go there!

I had a Breakdown on my way to pick up the Rental, which made me considerably late & outside the 'Pick up' Hours...
The chap who I dealt with (cant recall his name) went out of his way to work late & wait for me... Much appreciated

We loved the California Ocean we had for the week! Sven took me through all the technical aspects of it on pick up which helped us get to grips with it from day 1. The only reason I’ve given a 4* is the return experience, which given the option would be -1*. Roni who we dealt with was rude, arrogant and unhelpful. We had unfortunately stayed overnight on a campsite that had a dirty driveway after heavy rain so the van on the outside had picked up dirt, like all vehicles do when it’s wet! He told us he couldn’t check the van for damage so we asked the valets at Breeze Bournemouth if they could give it a quick wash on the outside (we got a very conscientious valet who did a thorough job). Roni then marked it on the form that it was dirty which I argued it now wasn’t and then he quibbled about the fact there wasn’t an anti bac spray, which there wasn’t when I picked it up. Sadly, his behaviour means I won’t use Breeze again as it marred a fantastic week. Such a shame as the van was brilliant!!!

Hired a Grand California for a long weekend break. Shafi and his team made us welcome from initial email contact then collection and return.
The whole experience of hiring a VW Camper is a must for everyone.
Totally fell in love with the Grand California. The build quality is a credit to VW.
Cannot wait for the next long weekend break away using Shari and his team again.

VWFS is fabulous. Top class 9-seat people carriers are what I need once or twice a year for family holidays, and they've just come good for me again. Staff are super helpful, and delivered the day before and collected the day after - which saved me taking 2 extra days holiday too. Prices are highly competitive. Will be back next year. Thank you VWFS Portsmouth.
