Great service and a really good product. The tape player arrived very quickly and the packaging was high quality to match the product. Happy to recommend We Are Rewind. I grew up in the 1980s and had a Walkman, which I loved. The batteries didn’t last long on it and disposing of batteries was wasteful. So in 2026 being able to use a great little player with a rechargeable battery is a lot better. The sound is good. The build of the player is solid and a great colour. I went for the black and gold one. I’m now enjoying playing my old cassettes and will try the recording function soon along with the Bluetooth headphones option. So far I’m plugging in my Ollo Audio wired ones and everything sounds great. Thank you.

The order itself was executed very well and the Curtis arrived in time. Well boxed. The outer box was wet at the bottom, but the inner box protected the unit.
The boombox itself is well built, however there are 3 negatives that I would like to mention:
1) Internal EQ / crossovers are tuned to deliver an exceptionally bass heavy “ghetto blaster” sound. This is nowhere near the vintage boombox sound or any later even mid-spec home system of comparable size.
2) The Bluetooth receiver is noisy. There is constant static when Bluetooth selector is on, even if the source (iPhone) is very near the unit.
3) Having a built in FM radio (or DAB when available) would really make a difference and re-create the vintage experience.

I have been on the hunt for a decent boombox and it has been an extremely difficult search. Lots of purchases and lots of returns. The price for the Curtis BB was steep, but after much hand wringing, I took the plunge. I love it so far! It’s a simple and straightforward system which I appreciate. I’ve made recordings on a few cassette tapes (RTM brand) and would say this machine definitely produces the best sound out of all the boomboxes available on the market. I’m looking forward to divorcing my music from my phone, listening to tunes the old fashion way, and getting offline for extended periods of time. I am also hoping this BB is a smart, sustainable investment and that it will be fairly easy to replace the battery in the future. My long term goal is to stop feeding the data centers and make listening to music a bit more eco-friendly—even if it means whittling down my collection….Future ideas for French Innovators: plastic-free cassette tapes? Is that possible?…Sometimes we need to rewind, but sometimes we also need to move forward. Thanks! Love my Curtis.

Pro hodnocení je pro mě zásadní jak přístroj hraje. Teprve dnes jsem stroj vybalil a je nádherný, skvěle hraje a je precizně vyroben. Velmi krátký autostop, tichý provoz, dynamika hudby. Velké překvapení které jsem ještě neviděl je record volume. Jediné co chybí do dokonalosti je regulace kmitu potenciometrů, nyní když chci aby hezky lítaly tak je to randál. Ale krásnej. Díky.

We Are Rewind are a brilliant company that merges retro tech with modern tech. I’m enthusiastically obsessed with retro tech. I love their Walkman-style cassette players and Curtis (ghetto blaster/boombox). I was obsessed by the Walkman ever since I saw Starlord’s Walkman in the film Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014). And the blank cassettes that are provided by We Are Rewind are so easy and simple to record mixtapes on. 10/10 I would recommend. 👌

My product was sold out after my purchase but I just sent an E-mail askikg for my order status and the response was great! They even gave me an option to change my order and get my shippment early.

Que dire.. le design ? C'est clean, c'est beau, c'est cool à avoir entre les mains. Le son ? C'est top, le lecteur ralenti très légèrement la tape qui donne un chorus léger légendaire sur les guitares acoustiques. Le Hiss est assez limité. Faire un mixtape est d'une facilité déconcertante (c'est un cable de deux boutons).

Et l'équipe est hyper sympa, hyper disponible et à l'écoute. Ça sent la bonne vibes.

Désolé, je lache le clavier pour aller redécouvrir mes cassettes et faire une mixtape pour mes vacances..

Petit contretemps avec la livraison, mais les produits sont excellents. ( Pour ce qui concerne le baladeur cassette, il faut penser aux personnes à mobilité réduite, donc l’ouverture est un peu difficile et risque de l’endommager.)
