The guys were extremely efficient, friendly, fast and very accommodating. Costs were very competitive.

We had the team over to help us pack , the day before our move day.
Our move day was managed very well and the team stayed with us till the evening to make sure we were all in and secure.
All in all a great job by the team making a very stressfull time , bearable.

The men made our move so much easier with their helpfulness, humour and proactive problem solving. The move was long distance and tiring over 2 days, but their energy was unwavering and manner always polite & courteous.

Fantastic Moving Service
We couldn’t be more happier with the two lads who moved all our house contents to our new home. They were incredibly professional, helpful and friendly throughout the whole move. Nothing was too much trouble, and they took great care with all our belongings.
They made what could have been a very stressful day so much easier. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and professional moving service. Thank you both for all your hard work!

I want to start by saying that the removal lads themselves were excellent. They worked extremely hard over two days, despite the very high temperatures, and were polite, helpful and professional throughout. They absolutely deserve credit for the effort they put in.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the way the quote and additional charges were handled.

When I originally requested a quote, I clearly explained that we wanted a full packing service, with the house packed one day and the actual move carried out the following day, as we would be staying elsewhere overnight. This was discussed and noted when the quote was prepared.

I therefore had every reason to believe that the price I had been quoted covered what I had specifically asked for.

It was only when I came to confirm the booking that I was told the service I had requested would actually cost an additional £750.

This was just two days before our move, leaving us in an extremely difficult position. At that stage, finding another removal company to take on a full pack and move at such short notice was simply not a realistic option. We therefore had little choice but to pay the additional £750.

What I find particularly disappointing is that, despite this clearly being a communication or quoting issue, there was no willingness whatsoever to meet us halfway or make any adjustment to the additional charge. Had I been told from the outset that the service I had requested was not included in the quote, I could have compared other companies and made an informed decision. Being presented with an unexpected £750 charge immediately before moving was very different.

I have no criticism of the removal team themselves — they worked incredibly hard and did their job well. My issue is entirely with the quotation process, communication and the way the additional £750 was handled.

For me, this has completely overshadowed what was otherwise a good job by the lads on the ground.

My advice to anyone considering using West Country Movers would be to get absolutely everything in writing and check that every service you have discussed is specifically included in the quoted price.

Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend West Country Movers and would not use them again.

Used them for move from Somerset to South Wales and they went above and beyond what we expected.

Friendly and professional team

This company was absolutely brilliant. The lads worked so hard and didn’t stop all day. We had a few set backs and they adapted brilliantly. The Lorrie’s would fit through the gates and the team had to carry everything from the main road to the house. Everyone was so professional. I couldn’t recommend this company more!

About the only thing that was NOT a nightmare on our house sale and move was West Cornwall Removals .
Our purchasers had led us a merry dance then suddenly we had a short notice moving date .
West Cornwall Removals fitted us in at the drop of a hat. Because of the distance involved it was a two day removal.
WCR arrived on time , good set of polite hard working lads , very very helpful and everything went really smoothly from start to finish .
Price was very competitive and we were extremely pleased with WCR service.

I would highly recommend. This is the second occasion and just like the first, they didn’t disappoint. Nothing is too much trouble. Super quick, efficient and extremely careful and considerate from start to finish. A fantastic friendly team. If we move again, I know who I am going to call! From the beginning of our move all the staff in the office were very friendly and efficient. On the day of the move the 2 removal guys were friendly, respectful of our property and very efficient.

Great customer service. Great fast and efficient delivery of my goods, care for my items.

These guys handled the emptying of my home and delivery of all my furniture and boxes to their safe storage facility. Nine months later they delivered all my goods from storage, safely to my new home.

Everything arrived dry and undamaged, even my beloved piano, and the staff could not have been more helpful. They put down mats to protect the floors from ‘outside footwear’ and every piece was moved with the greatest care. They maintained a friendly professionalism throughout the process and couldn’t have been more helpful.

The team at West Country Movers were so helpful and accommodating, packing us up and moving us quickly and efficiently despite the bank holiday heatwave. Everyone was cheerful and kind, offered smart suggestions, and handled my increasing panic with calmness! Dylan, Jordan and Martin did an absolutely splendid job; all three of them were professional, efficient and delightful chaps. The two ladies who turned up to help unload also worked extremely hard and were equally delightful. Although I hope never to move again(!), I will recommend you to everyone I know who is moving. Worth every penny. Thank you.

I had an excellent packing service from Sophie and moving from Aaron and Chris this week including the dismantling and reassembly of several bits of furniture. Friendly, on time, super professional and efficient. Very competitively priced. Would recommend and use again (though hopefully I'm not moving again anytime soon)!

This is the second time that we have used their services for packing and moving home....this alone speaks for itself.
This was a stressful time for us, we are both pensioners, so the packing service was of great benefit to us. Matt came in the day before removal and boxed everything up.
The team arrived at 8.00 the following morning and just got on with it. They were friendly, efficient and worked with tailored precision. This efficiency was mirrored at our new home. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
If you need a good reputable company, with good old fashion values and good pricing to boot, look no further because this is the company that gives you just that

Ok where do I start? I have moved a lot, a lot, overseas and back to the Uk 3 times not to mention inter country left and right and these guys, this company, is, by far, the best experience I’ve ever had.
From switching like 5 times cos of house purchase delays and nothing being a problem no matter how many times I chopped and changed through no fault of my own, it was always ok!
Hands down recommend this friendly and totally competent family run company. The guys were funny, friendly, totally “on it”.
Excellent, shame I couldn’t give them 10 ⭐️

We recently used WCM for our move within Somerset, it included approximately 8 weeks storage. We chose WCM following visits from three companies; Sophie and Ricky came across as professional and competent from the outset and this proved the case. The packing / unpacking teams were on time, hard working, quick, conscientious and happy in their work. The storage provided between Dec and Feb, included large planted garden urns and pots, all of which are now thriving. The only damage was to an antique low boy / chest on stand, but this was expertly repaired by a professional craftsman and without question. I have no hesitation in recommending WCM.

Shocking experience, so many items of furniture damaged its ridiculous, after moving in the house and unpacking boxes we kept finding more breakages, so far a £1000 cabinet has a massive chunk out of the bottom, a sofa arm is ruined, the TV has a crack down the back of the plastic, we had wardrobes damaged when re assembled, the list goes on and on, when we called them and shared photos of the damages they said we were past the 7 day window ( PS by 1 day!!!) so it was no longer there issue. stay well clear......

We used West Country Movers for our recent move from one end of the country to the other and they couldn't have been more helpful. They were quick and clear with their communications. Matt and Perrin were our movers on the day and they were brilliant! Polite, professional and friendly, they worked quickly and handled everything with care. On the other side they asked where we wanted everything and reassembled/plumbed in appliances and furniture. Highly recommend them.

Had a pretty large house move that required moving, dismantle/reassembly, de-plumb and re-plumb services. West Country Movers were great! We had 3 guys with a van each, they were friendly and efficient and generally had great vibes. They handled everything with care and were extremely self-sufficient and placed everything in the correct rooms on arrival. Would recommend!
