Don’t purchase Clogau from them online, item didn’t come in Clogau box or with a guarantee, even though website states (All of our Clogau jewellery is delivered in elegant Clogau packaging), purchased 16th July and was told would have box and guarantee by August, told on 3rd September after chasing them up again that they were still waiting for them to arrive, so where is the items original guarantee? this was a gift I couldn’t give it as it looked strange in a different box with no 2 year guarantee , cost me extra to purchase a Clogau gift elsewhere, have told them not to bother sending now but they said will still send. Still waiting as of today

Really pleased with my goods, ordered and received promptly. Great quality, purchased for a gift and recipient was well pleased too.

I absolutely love the products made by Hamond's. I have a few, and have always received excellent service from the store in Whitby or the workshop in Ashbourne. My recent purchase is a beautiful ring with a Whitby jet stone and I love it. It fits perfectly. I also recently purchased the herring pendant which was a bargain in the sale. I love it too. Many thanks Hamond's. Keep up the good work. I will be buying again soon.

I placed an order with W Hamond Whitby Boutique at the beginning of August. Payment was taken immediately, but I received no order confirmation and had no communication for two weeks. I had to chase the company several times before finally receiving a reply, at which point I was told the items I ordered were out of stock – something that was not stated at the time of purchase.

After waiting five weeks, only one item was sent, and I was informed the second was still unavailable. I eventually cancelled my order as the delays and lack of communication were unacceptable.

Overall, I found the service very poor: money was taken without confirmation, stock levels were not made clear, and communication was extremely difficult. Based on my experience, I would advise caution before ordering from this compan

Thought I give this business another chance after the debacle I had experience last Christmas. So far it has been another horrible experience. I purchased another watch on Aug 20th. I tracked the package and it was processed through customs on Aug 25th. There has been no update, no movement. I reached out unsuccessfully to the USPS . I emailed W Hamond 4 days ago to seek their assistance to find out if they had filed the proper paperwork to clear custom. Well, 4 days late, I have yet to receive a response. I have never experienced such lack of care and responsiveness from a merchant until my experiences with W. Hamond.

*UPDATES* Today is Dec 4th,2025. Still have no clear solution to the missing watch. I understand it isn't their faults that the watch went missing, but the non-existence customer service is where they made a bad situation more frustrating. In the three plus months since this watch went missing, they never reached out with any update. Only responded after I reached out to them for a status. They have indicated they are waiting for Royal Mail and Custom to complete their investigation and it could take 90 days. I think my patience is wearing out.
I thought of giving them another chance after last Christmas disaster of a purchase where they couldn't deliver a limited edition watch I bought because the brand had cut ties with them. But this second chance has so far turned into another fiasco.

I ordered to Germany and everything went smooth. The watch is beautiful. Delivery through RoaylMail was completely fine.

Fast smooth delivery and communication. Purchased earrings at a very competitive price compared to other sites. Would recommend.

My husband tried to buy me one of the lily necklaces two weeks ago - something I have wanted for a long time - and the bank holiday sale was 60% off
He chased it up as two weeks have passed with no delivery details only to be told they actually sold out so would give him a refund

Now although they still have other lily necklaces on sale at 50%, as a gesture of goodwill the said they would do him one at a thousand pounds

My husband has spent thousands in this shop over the years - doubt he will spend anymore

Yet another amazing experience from W Hamond York. I had an issue with the delivery of an online order for collection at the shop and as I had previously bought two items from the York shop I contacted Mark and within a few hours the issue was sorted and collection was possible at the correct time. Mark kept me informed the whole time. He was also able to advise on other jewellery pieces I asked about due to his vast knowledge of the stock available. I will definitely be buying other pieces from this shop.

Marcasite earrings and necklace ordered. Earrings arrived the following day and necklace had to be made for me. Excellent communication throughout and very prompt delivery once item was ready. Leah provided excellent customer service and the items I ordered are beautiful. I will definitely order from them again.

Fab little jewellers. Got a Gucci bracelet for a really reasonable price. Shipping was prompt and the package was beautifully packed.

Purchased a swarovski tennis bracelet and sent it back in its return period. I spent £10 on postage as i wanted to ensure they receive the item. It took me a few phone calls to a week for them to receive it and then say yes we have it what would you like to do, well i asked for a refund. A few days later i got an email to say refund took longer as someone was on annual leave (ok fine) 2 weeks after that with no explanation i get a refund email but only partial and not full??? So including postage return i have lost out on over £20 which is disgusting! Never again will i purchase from here, shocking!

I bought an item online.
The website said the jewelery item was IN STOCK. Two days delivery time.
I received it 46 DAYS after ordering. :(
Embarrassed about the birthday gift to a friend being so late.
Feeble excuses from W.Hammond about a show and the website issue.
ZERO communication from them ... I had to chase them to find out what was going on the whole way.
When I asked what their complaints procedure was, I got fobbed off.
I will NEVER buy anything from this company again. :(
What a disappointment.

I ordered a necklace for my wife's birthday but I left it a bit late with only 5 days to her birthday. I was a bit worried that it wouldn't arrive on time but, it arrived with 2 days to spare. The necklace was in a nice presentation box and was well packaged. This is the second time that I purchased jewellery online from H Hamond Jewellers. Great service, highly recommended.

So very pleased with my purchase, a gold & turquoise scorpio zodiac pendant. Poppi was so helpful and answered my questions very quickly and I was able to request a longer chain. Am wearing it all the time and I’m also going to ask if the wonderful workshop team can make me another of my own design. So hard to find craftsmen/women these days. Thank you everyone at W.Hamond.

Lovely people to deal with. This started in store with Mark in York and some months later with Poppi remotely when I completed the purchase. Whether in person, or remotely, excellent communication and service.

The staff were very friendly and helpful as I was unable to choose between three beautiful pendants, I was able to exchange the one I chose when on reflection once home I preferred a different one.
