Bought a bronze figurine from their site. The pictures matched the item in the shape but the photos did not match the color of the item at all. It appeared more grey/pewter color. The item I got was black.

I reached out and asked if I got the right item. Their response - Yes. The pictures are just bad lighting. Hence the bad review.

My latest order was for 3 bracelet charms, all paid for on ordering. Whilst arriving reasonably promptly, the package only contained the Hammond's Whitby jet & silver charm. The package stated 3/3. I was obviously concerned where the other 2 charms were. The only indication to this was the jet and silver charm only had been highlighted. There was no reference to if or when the other charms would arrive. Worried that the other 2 charms had been wrongfully excluded from the order or removed in transit I rang Hammond's. The lady apologized and told me the other 2 charms were out of stock and it could be several weeks before I received them. I feel this lack of information is poor and a discredit to the previously good service I have enjoyed from this company.

The ring is a waste of money it's already lost it coloring after 2 days wear. Said it was in stock online hence why I ordered and it wasn't waited over 2 weeks for It to be made. And it can't be worn

Hamond's went above and beyond to source the correct chain for me.
It was shorter than I needed, so they had someone to make the extended piece.
At no extra cost to me.
The time, love and care they afforded me will never be forgotten .

I bought a necklace for a present online. The service was quick, the item was well-packaged and was of superb quality. I am very happy with this company and would definitely buy from them again. In fact my wife and I are planning to take a trip to Whitby and visit the shop in person.

I ordered a Gucchi ring for my daughters 60th birthday. She was delighted with it.

I ordered a watch from W Hamond Jewellers - W Hamond Whitby on 08.12.24. The watch was in stock on the website. In reality it was not, so they had to order it from the manufacturer.
After 6 weeks from the day I ordered the watch, I asked the shop when will the watch be delivered. They took my money, but forgot to deliver it or they had no plan to deliver it.
They finally delivered the watch from UK to Romania. However, the watch stayed at the Romanian border from 19.01.25-31.03.25. To receive the watch, I had to fill in plenty of documents and pay 53 euro fees. Afterwards, the Romanian post failed to deliver the item. (I asked them for a delivery proof and they had none.) Finally, the post returned the package to UK.
In May, I received an email from W Hamond Jewellers that the watch returned to the shop, and they offer to send it again. I of course refused because they pretend to deliver worldwide, but do not ensure that the package arrives to the customer. I asked for a refund.
W Hamond Jewellers asked me to wait additional 14 days to receive the refund, but refused to refund the entire amount and put me to pax 31 euros transportation.
So my money stayed in W Hamond Jewellers account for 6 months and I had to pay the transportation for a watch that was delivered 1,5 months after I ordered it additional 3,5 months in transit, and that I never received!
This was my experience with W Hamond Jewellers Whitby! Please judge for yourself whether you want to order from this shop or not!

Look up the history of my order and interactions and you will understand why one star. Took 6 months of back and forth with long periods of no response. I finally had to facilitate my own order with the manufacturer to finally make it happen. All for a luxury item where the experience and customer service should be top notch. My last person to help me, Harriet was awesome. She gets 5 stars. I can’t recommend shopping with this company though.

We are a Jewellery store in Chichester, and we urgently needed some Montblanc ink to complete a purchase of a limited edition Montblanc pen. I googled the product, and Hammonds was the only retailer to have the ink in stock. The ink was parcelled the same day, and arrived the day after....Thanks for your help!

Ordering was easy and after panicking that items were missing all was reassured.

I have ordered a £1100 bag on 4th of April. Today is 11th of June. I still haven’t received it. After I put my order through I received a normal confirmation email. Few weeks passed nothing arrived. I contacted customer services. After few days the came back to me that the bag has 12 weeks waiting list and thats why they send me an email to contact them ! (I didnt receive an email to contact them and why shouldn’t you mention it while the customer is ordering?! On the website?!) anyhow I decided to wait. Through all these weeks there was no follow up email nothing I emailed them again in 3 weeks to get an update after 4-5 days they replied that there is no update ( the way they respond is I owe them something😂 ridiculous customer service) now after almost 3 months again not even one email of update they refuse to give me an approximate delivery time. So Im applying through my bank to get a refund and I though they deserve a one star review.
