Great price and stock but customer service is worst I've ever experienced.
I don't usually leave reviews as everyone has an off day but all staff looked miserable and seemed more interested in having their own conversations than helping customers. I came out quite depressed, it's no wonder stores are struggling.

Went in today to open a trade account, Ian went above and beyond to help me set this up and talked me through the best way to use the Trade App. Placed my order, with no problem. Nothing was too much trouble. Many thanks.

Tried to place an order online for some materials to be delivered but im not very tech savvy so i had trouble and couldnt do it so i rung the store and was told you dont take orders over the phone but if i wanted i could come into store and place an order, i dont live too far so went down to the chesterfield store, it was very busy at the time and i felt overwhelmed, i was greeted by an employee that asked if i was ok, i said i would like to place an order, he took me to a desk with a computer and we went through the whole process, i just had to say what i wanted and they did everything else, it did make me feel slightly silly as he seemed to find it easy putting the order through that i couldnt do myself at home but that wasnt his fault, had my delivery yesterday and was really pleased with the whole experience, will definately be back again as i am currently undergoing alot of jobs around my house, hope all the other employees are as helpful as the manager that helped me Craig just incase he isnt available, thank you

While renovating our property we have spent thousands of pounds with Wickes. One item purchased in April was a toilet which was duly plumbed in no problem. Recently came to fix in the toilet seat but one of the plastic fittings was broken. Being under 12 months old I took to my local branch , Chesterfield and was shocked by the attitude and outcome. I expected no issues a straight swap. Without the receipt I had to dig for the credit card receipt despite buying on my account. Apparently I had only 28 days to spot this the 12 month guarantee did not apply. Moreover the staff were rude and unapologetic. This was an example of the poorest customer service. ....Latest update after being passed from department to department and having numerous calls - I am not even able to buy a Cleveland toilet seat. So at the moment I have a new toilet with no seat. Online can't do anything and neither will the store - disgusting

Recently purchased a new kitchen from Wickes which has now been installed.
From our first communication with our Design Consultant Keith Herbert at Chesterfield, everything went incredibly smoothly - installers arranged to visit the property to confirm measurements and our requirements, kitchen was delivered on time, installers arrived on time and completed when expected and very pleased with our purchase. Any minor issues were resolved very promptly and with full consultation with ourselves.
Communication throughout has been excellent and we knew exactly what to expect and when. Design Consultant was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Installers Kevin and Paul were exceptional and a real pleasure to have in our home for a week.
We'd definitely recommend Wickes for a new kitchen.

Easy to find what I wanted and helpful customer service to locate one item and got advice how to use it.

I needed some Gloss White and Gloss Brown paint. It was in stock and good value.

Julian the kitchen designer was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and patient with us, the kitchen looks great and we will use Wickes again and definitely go back to Julian

I’m a regular trade customer of Wickes Chesterfield. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. We’ve developed a good working relationship over the last few years and I would always use them over others.

Having just moved to this area it’s a relief to know there is a store with helpful polite and staff that know what they sell. We have downsized and needed some extra storage space. Decided to board out loft and thanks to the wonderful staff member I brought loft legs which they explained the benefits of. Got all the boarding fitting and tools I needed to get the job done without wanting any extra stuff. The young lady Sarah I think her name was must be very knowledgeable as she was in much demand. Will be going back to have a good look round and plan for next year when start garden.

Unfortunately zero stars isn't an option.

Initially I had the misfortune of using the online chat and customer service by phone who gave me completely contrasting reasons why my order wasn't delivered today with no resolution.

But the operations manager at the Chesterfield store took customer service to a whole new low (I won't name but have it).

Zero compassion, zero regard for the customer, confrontational from the outset, had to change his answers regularly because he failed to determine any facts (I had to constantly guide him on what to do).

I could list so many issues but in summary he told me he didn't like my attitude, said he wouldn't take any customer service advice from me, refused to give me details of someone who could help, told me it's pointless contacting the CEO as he can't do anything and when I asked him to repeat something his response was "I've told you once, I'm not repeating myself". The fact that he then realised that the initial response he gave me was wrong demonstrates who poor his cus service skills and attitude. No empathy, poor communication, struggled to adapt to the situation, failed to build a relationship with the customer and no problem-solving skills.

If this is how he conducts himself with customers I dread to think how he conducts himself with staff.

Thank you to Julian at the Chesterfield store for our positive and stress free experience when ordering and buying our fantastic kitchen. Julian was very helpful and knowledgeable and very thoughtfully incorporated a special area for our autistic son into our new kitchen. I would also like to say thank you to all the people I have spoken to at customer service, they have always been helpful and polite.

Had a young man deliver my Laminate flooring this morning Saturday 3rd August 24 from the Wickes Chesterfield Store . I must say what a polite helpful young man he was, very respectful bringing our laminate flooring in and a lovely friendly personality . This young man represented Wickes with such professionalism and high standards . Top class delivery service and we hope his boss gives this young man recognition for his hard work and how polite he is to your customers . 10 out of 10 for his Customer Service representing your company name and standards of service .
