Went to the store today and a lovely lady was very accommodating think her name is Susan, I was able to find everything i needed with her help. Would definitely visit again.

Krishna the manager was very help full. She’s the best. Employee of the month

Selvy and Koma were so helpful - I had return items I’d purchased online and pick up replacements. Across multiple orders it wasn’t so straightforward- they were patient and understanding. I’m grateful for the help you both provided today.

Very poor customer service at Wickes West Hendon. We were told by both the delivery driver and Wickes Customer Services that we could return the delivery pallet, but after arranging transport to bring it back, the store refused to accept it. The Duty Manager, Susan, was extremely rude and dismissive, telling us to “take the pallet and dispose of it yourself.” We also waited over 20 minutes just to return unused garden compost. Conflicting information, wasted time and unnecessary transport costs. Very disappointing experience – I would think twice before using Wickes again.

My personal experience at Wickes Hendon was made so much simpler than I imagined, thanks to Krishna who was enormously marvellous.
She was earnestly helpful, patient and very considerate. I had an issue with return / refund which was outside the normal required period, and Krishna went above and beyond to assist me in sorting out the matter.
I genuinely valued the time and effort she put into assisting me. I would like to say massive thank you to Krishna for your kindness, patience, and assistance which really meant a lot to me as a pensioner.

Bob A, Design Consultant, Hendon designed a beautiful kitchen within my budget. Bob was friendly, knowledgeable, made good recommendations and was professional.
John, TDL2 Success Ltd installed the kitchen professionally and to a very high standard. John paid attention to detail, made helpful suggestions and dealt with all issues arising expertly and efficiently. The finish is excellent. I was also kept up to date regularly.
Rick and his colleague at AnyJunk went up and down 3 flights of stairs to collect heavy kitchen rubbish from large hippo bag in property in under an hour. They did an excellent job and were friendly, efficient and professional.
Lloyd, customer services telephoned and emailed me regularly throughout the process, and provided great customer service.

Naomi Lovelace at Wickes Hendon was an absolute star throughout! Professional, personable, knowledgable and an intricate eye for detail as to what we wanted in our kitchen. Unfortunately due to lead time constraints on our builders end we couldn’t wait for Wickes but nonetheless Naomi and the Wickes design service was flawless and a really pleasant surprise for a big chain especially. Thank you Naomi, hope we use you in the future.

Against our better judgement, we used Wickes again for our bathroom renovation. We thought a different branch (Hendon), a different manager/builder might make a difference; what we really wanted was a guarantee of works, which is difficult if you hire your own builder. This is the WORST MISTAKE we have ever made.

We were allocated Ladi. He constantly forgot agreed works, didn’t manage the project properly, meaning we spent hours out of work time trying to mitigate issues such as missing items and things that did not match. He rushed the job, cut corners, and has left us with a DEFECTIVE, LEAKING bathroom where we can’t use the shower. He seemed nice enough to begin with, if extremely defensive and adverse to taking any responsibility for his shortcomings.

He has also been dishonest about the situation to Wickes and we are left possibly HUNDREDS/THOUSANDS OF POUNDS OUT OF POCKET trying to fix issues that he and Wickes are denying responsibility for. His workmanship was awful and he has left us with huge problems.

Wickes didn’t send the ordered shower tray for the wet room and Ladi said he would sort this. We discovered days later that he did not, as he (like many other things) just forgot. He was then frustrated that the project would not finish on time if he had to wait for the new delivery; he said was not good for us (we discovered it was actually because he had booked a holiday immediately after the planned completion date, so he had no overrun time available) and instead declared he had ‘sorted the problem’ by not taking up the old shower trap and tray as they were in really good condition and could be used with no problems. We queried if this was something that was usually done and asked him to advise whether it was safe as we were worried; he assured it was normal and fine to do.

He/his helper GROUTED IN the old drain cover (the one I told him multiple times I didn’t want, as it did not match the fittings) and he returned to fix this. The drain was also full of debris from the renovation; he used a screwdriver to forcefully rip up the drain cover, then a vacuum pole to clear this; he pushed this with force into the drain to suck up the remaining rubble. He then covered it all up and left.

We showered about three times and noticed a leak forming on the ceiling of the room below; we called him back to inspect it. He immediately tells us that the leak is ‘old’ (I spend most of my time in that room and it has never been there until after the building work). He then checked the shower drain and there is a HUGE CRACK in there which is the source of the leak. He proceeds to deny that he had anything to do with it and that we must have done it, coming up with conflicting stories. Firstly, he says that the crack was not there when he did the work, as he had flushed water through and checked it carefully and there were no problems when he finished the work. Then he changes his story and tells Wickes that it was a really old drain/subfloor and that the cracks looked like old ones; conveniently forgetting that he told us it was all fine to be kept. So, we now have A BRAND-NEW BATHROOM THAT IS UNUSABLE AND WHICH HAS DAMAGED OUR CEILING.

On top of this, he had tried to charge us for works that were not done/not necessary. There were charges for ‘decorative finishing, painting and plastering’ (an extra £500) of the walls when we were tiling the whole bathroom – thankfully we spotted this. He also tried to say the total cost of the work should be the same afterwards, when he did not even change the subflooring/shower tray. Altogether, very DISHONEST BEHAVIOUR.

Additional issues we had:

— Misaligned holes cut in tiles for piping; to compensate for this, instead of redoing it, he has now forced us to have thick silicone around some shower fittings which looks terrible.

— Misaligned tiles, one that sticks out with sharp edges

— The shower has no cold water, only very warm to hot

— He installed the shower screen wonky and when we asked for it to be corrected, he denied it was possible, until he finally fixed it, albeit badly

— Silicone finishing was bad — when we complained he said “it doesn’t matter as you won’t see it, it will be hidden by shampoo bottles”. Even after having him try again, it was so bad we paid someone else to redo the edges

Predictably, Wickes have dragged their heels throughout the whole complaints process (we expected nothing less from this terrible company) and after being passed around like an unwanted hot potato, they told us they “needed a report from a plumber to determine their builder had caused this”. They used this as diversionary tactics, purposely causing us to SPEND ANOTHER 120 POUNDS, only for them to reject it immediately and say that “the case is closed”.

As a result, we have no choice but to go to the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman to resolve this.

My kitchen designer Niaomi provided an excellent and professional services. She supported me every step of the way. I Would definitely recommend her

Wickes has fantastic range of products for all my property investments & flips.
One of the reason I use them is the easy return policy on unused items after renovations.
Wickes Colindale is my main destination, thanks to all the helpful staff that assist me every time. A member that stands out and should be made Ambassador to your company is server Selvi. She has a great work ethic. Takes ownership. Always look for solutions to help customers. And a big smile! Most places staff looks so miserable you don't want to go back to nor do they want to help.
Selvi is a great asset to Wickes Colindale. Keep up the good work & service.

I love the store the people that work there, I had a great experience working around finding everything i needed and again the staff are great and one individual I am unsure what her name was but she was very helpful, I went up to her and she help me find the stock I needed.

Great service

I have just ordered a bathroom from the Wickes store in Hendon.
The design & purchase was smoothly executed with the help of Naomi Lovelace. The only reason I have deducted 1 star is because the products (Vanity Unit, Shower, Toilet) that I am buying are not on the shop floor for me to view in person. I am keeping my fingers that they are as good as they appear to be in the catalogue.

Krishna was extremely helpful and sorted our issue out promptly. she walked with us to the aisle and assisted in pointing out the item.

Just bought a new kitchen from
Wickes and Naomi from the kitchen department was amazing. I booked an appointment online and within 90 mins of meeting Naomi at Hendon Wickes, kitchen was designed and ordered.

Unfortunately, some of the items didn't arrive as the order was broken into 3 deliveries and one nearby store failed to deliver. However, Naomi was super helpful and managed to speak to her store manager and secured the missing items from Hendon store. Fantastic customer service, and thank you Naomi.
