I was trying to find a certain paint, which showed there were 3 in store. I looked everywhere for it before Harry came to my rescue. He looked in store and couldn't find any. He then went back into the storeroom and after some considerable time, found a can. It was hidden behind other cans and Harry could have easily given up. Thank goodness he didn't. One satisfied customer and client.

Demi came over to us looking at wall tiles ,she helped us calculate how many tiles we needed her knowledge was great,she also came to till point with us and put through our purchase for delivery

I had such a great experience with Mizan at the Minworth branch when we were exploring kitchen options. His depth of knowledge and friendly personality made the experience very pleasant, I highly recommend the Minworth branch for a kitchen.

We had a new kitchen supplied and fitted by wickes witch was everything we wanted this started with the design and was carried out by camraan who did everything he said he would do he was excellent in the way he designed our kitchen so friendly and communicated throughout the procedure ending in a beautiful kitchen we both never thought could be possible many thanks to wickes but a special mention for camraan who we still keep in contact with from time to time.

Went to look around the kitchens as we have recently moved house, spoke to Demi who talked us through the process and booked an appointment for us, was really helpful to look at the doors and worktops we wanted and get a price estimate, highly recommend a visit!

Excellent store and staff, was helped to find the paint colour I wanted. They were all in the Xmas spirit!

We ordered a kitchen on 7th August 2025 ,our designer consultant made a mistake in some measurements so our kitchen fitter could not fit the unit what we wanted which we had to return and had refund we did order a ceramic hob but we changed this before delivery and had this stopped been delivered and brought a induction hob separately which was fitted with new kitchen but for some reason for the last 4 months since we ordered the new induction hob we have not been refunded for the ceramic hob we have gone in store , telephoned and emailed , Wickes and customer services , ( Wickes customer services don't exist and if we could give a minus star rating we would ) we are just going round in circles with this company .

All the staff are helpful and knowledgeable and will help you find exactly what you’re looking for.

Camraan was brilliant in explaining my new bathroom. He gave me great ideas and talked me through the process from start to finish. Also explained options for a payment plan making it much more affordable too. Camraan was very approachable and put my mind at ease. Thank you

Popped into Wickes Minworth to get textured paint. Walked aimlessly around but couldn’t see it. I approached a young man and his ‘more mature’ colleague with a grey bob and glasses. They were both by the click and collect. As I got to the counter, the woman pulled out her mobile phone and was busy looking at that. I said ‘excuse me, do you know where the textured paint is please - do you sell it?’ The young guy looked at me a little blankley, the woman - still busy scrolling her phone looked up and said ‘No’ then carried on scrolling on her phone.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have my phone with me as it’s not glued to my hand - unlike the woman in Wickes Minworth - so I couldn’t even check for myself.
I was somewhat lost for words to be fair - incredibly rude!!
I drove down to B&Q who were very helpful and showed me where all the textured paint was and even suggested rollers which are recommended for use with textured paint.
As we are decorating a house we rent out, by the time I had stocked up on anti damp paint, textured paint, emulsion, rollers, paint brushes etc, etc. I came out just over £420 later, but happy with the service I DIDN’T get at WICKES MINWORTH which is literally at the bottom of my road.
Do better Wickes ~ tell your staff to stay off their devices on the shop floor as it can affect staff performance, lose sales and ultimately get the store a bad review!!
When I got home, I went onto Wickes, did a simple search for textured paint and guess what ‘Mrs grey bob’ you do sell it!!
This was Monday 27th October 2025 at approx 18.20.

Designing a kitchen and bathroom for a small space was worrying us, but working with Tina at Wickes Minworth made it feel easy! She offered us ideas and solutions, showed us all the ranges that suited us and which went well together and she was able to come and view the space at a time that suited us so she could better plan what we needed. Tina was a great help and she made the whole planning stage of this stress free.

My bathroom project with Wickes started in August 2023. It involved four bathrooms, and to this day, not one is fully completed.

Two Fitters, Same Story: Wickes first sent a fitter whose work was poor and incomplete. After he left, I waited nine months for another fitter. The second fitter worked part-time, followed his own schedule, and after nearly six months refused to complete the tiling that was part of the agreed contract, demanding extra payment instead.

Ombudsman Ruling Ignored: I took my case to the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman (FHIO), which ruled in my favor. Wickes has still failed to comply with that decision.

No Ownership or Control: There is complete lack of accountability between Wickes’ sales, installation management, and customer service teams. Fitters are subcontractors with no effective oversight, leaving customers at their mercy once work starts.

Broken Promises: The so-called “fully managed service” is a sales illusion. In reality, there is poor communication, no project control, and no timely resolution when things go wrong.

I have now started legal action after more than two years of failed attempts to get the work completed or the issue resolved.

Advice to other customers:

Get every detail in writing – including timelines, scope of work, and accountability.

Do not rely on verbal assurances.

Avoid paying in full until all work is verified.

Be aware that Wickes has no real control over its subcontracted fitters.

This experience has been stressful, costly, and deeply disappointing. I urge anyone considering Wickes installations to do thorough due diligence before signing any contract.

I would very much like to acknowledge the service received at Wickes Minworth when I visited this week. The staff, in particular the supervisor Tashia, went out of their way to assist me and their help and advice was very much appreciated. Reviews are only usually left when customers have a bad experience but I wanted to praise the service I received as it was very much welcomed.

I’m a regular trade customer that comes in. Always plenty of stock and all decent prices. That staff, especially sue are all helpful and friendly.

I came in on Sunday looking for some things and a new colleague helped me find them all, very genuine

I had my so called dream kitchen installed in January this year but within 3 months the holding bracket for my under worktop freezer has split and subsequently led to my freezer slipping back and putting the outside door out of line. I have had so many conversations with the warrenty team who totally refuse to put this right and are now saying this is down to aftercare so basically blaming me and are now washing their hands of the blame. I reached out to Bosch who were very helpful and after looking at photos immediately informed me it is definitely a wickes responsibility to put right , I passed this on to the warrenty team but they will not accept this either.
I am now at the point of escalating my complaint and have filed my complaint with the wickes customer relations team.
I am determined that I will get wickes to take responsibility for this issue and I am prepared to do everything in my power to get them to put this right. The warrenty team are a disgrace in my opinion and I am also in the process of complaining about the attitude of the guy who has been my contact point.
I am feeling stressed, frustrated and bitterly disappointed with the way this is being handled and it has definitely taken the shine off my new kitchen!

I've been searching everywhere for help with a specific paint effect, but every store I visited had no idea. Today, I walked into this store and met Demi — she was amazing. She had real knowledge of the paints and explained exactly how I could achieve the effect I wanted.

This is what I call customer service — not just a manager pointing down an aisle, but someone genuinely willing to assist and guide you when you're unsure. Demi is an absolute credit to the store.

Excellent Service, I went with a list of things to get and didn't have a clue where to start and found the most helpful person in your store. Can I please say a massive thank you to Lee R as he helped me get everything I needed and knew where everything was.
