Went into store all the staff was very helpful especially Lisa who signed me up for a trade account

Always a pleasant experience to shop in the Wickes Newmarket, with a helpful and patient team.
Henry was particularly helpful with my shop today, allowing time to interact and be personal yet efficient in watching for other customers when approaching.
Im a regular customer at this Wickes site.

From start to finish we were pleased with all aspects of the service and workmanship. Rob Andrews was fantastic and knows his job very well. He was pleasant, patient and knew what we could do to achieve what we wanted - he found a solution to all obstacles we encountered. Great design service!! The installers - Dean and his team were also brilliant they were professional and turned up on time and left no mess each day and they finished on time - leaving us with a beautiful new family toilet and shower room.

Bathroom has been fitted but we simply cannot use it. We've gone from water pressure to a trickle.
The sink is damaged and needs replacing, the bath too.
Whilst replacement sink and bath has been sent noone will tell me when they will be installed.
I keep being told a pump is going to be installed at wickes expense but again customer service and store keep saying awaiting info from each other or installation team.
We were supplied £280 of items that installation team said wouldn't fit so wasn't used. Now stuck in the middle of an argument with store and installation team on who's going to pay for a refund and collect.
Have asked for at leat 6 calls to discuss with coordinator. Never happen. Just another excuse of an email.
We've paid £6000 so far and £3500 to pay. Why I should pay more to a company that really couldn't care less.
Over 2 weeks and not a sign of it being resolved. Very dissatisfied and will definitely not be back for further work in the future.

We bought a kitchen from the Newmarket branch January 2025 and have been very satisfied with the whole process. Robert was a great help from start to finish , offering useful insights into design details and any special offers available right through to after sales care. Mark the fitter also deserves a mention, he was friendly and helpful throughout the build.We’re glad we bought through Wickes.

Had both a kitchen and bathroom fitted by wickes. Rob was extremely helpful, and helped with every step of the process. The installers were also great on both occasions. Would thoroughly recommend Rob and the wickes installers. A great job done by all involved.

Nick Hyde at the Newmarket Wickes- what a great guy, so helpful and knowledgeable!! He listened and helped us choose a design we are delighted with. Would very highly recommend.

Great in store service

We purchased a kitchen from Wickes and our kitchen consultant was Megan Rann. Megan designed us a kitchen which was not only beautiful but efficient as well. Megan helped us through each step of the way in her friendly and professional manner. Megan even came and did a home visit to check everything was going well. Which it was. Neil and John our fitters were both excellent in their workmanship and left everything clean and tidy at the end of every day.
Thoroughly recommend Wickes

New bathroom
We needed a new bathroom and we chose Wickes as my friend had recommended them. We were not disappointed. Robert in sales made the whole process very easy from start to finish. He knew exactly what we wanted and designed it perfectly. Robert was there straight away if we had any queries. We were so happy with the whole process that my mum now wants a new kitchen from Wickes too. I just felt I could trust them and the work. The whole process was so smooth. Our bathroom only took a week to complete and there was a lot of building work and plumbing/electrics required before the actual bathroom could be installed. The lads turned up on time every day and worked their socks off! No mess after they had gone either. They just turned up and got on with it. We are so pleased.

Highly recommend Nick in the showroom, who did a fabulous job of redesigning our en suite, taking into consideration all our requirements. Would definitely seek him out again for our next project. Would also highly recommend Colin, our installer, who did a thorough and professional job of fitting our new bathroom.

This will be the last occasion i waste my time on wickes & really hope they loose customers because of it
We spent a lot of money with wickes only to be treated like dirt by them & ended up costing us time & money & stress to try & resolve there mistakes as a result of their complete incompetence!! The customer service was absolutely terrible at best & put absolutely zero effort in to try & help us resolve our issues.
I found the salesman & staff a Newmarket wickes to be just as useless & unhelpful as the customer service
Please don’t put yourself through the grief of dealing with wickes & the worst customer service department I’ve ever come across
Highly recommend that nobody ever use this company

Following my neighbour's house fire damaging my fence panels I placed a test order for 2 new ones online. The panels were sent from Wickes Newmarket branch. One was ok, the other had several slats bowed out of shape, clearly a reject panel that no-one would have purchased in person. Well done on foisting this off on me Wickes but it has cost you my custom for the remaining 36 panels I was going to purchase to replace the rest of the fence.

The whole kitchen experience went without a hitch - well, only very minor ones! Nick Hyde was our designer, and he captured what I had visualised exactly. He was so helpful, and took our budget into account. The delivery went smoothly, and the fitter, Mark Cooper, was excellent, moving the radiator to accommodate cupboards, and the electrician and plumber who worked with him, were all brilliant! We found a cupboard was marked, but we had another delivered yesterday, ready to be fitted. Altogether a very good experience!

Placed an order on 8th April for delivery on the 11th April for 3x Wickes Bark Chippings from the Newmarket branch when they had 55 in stock. Then had a call on the 10th saying they have no stock for delivery.

I ordered a new kitchen (design, supply and installation) at the end of December 2024 with installation starting late February.
I have had to return the sink as the design of the worktops did not accommodate the one advised which has incurred additional cost and no refund on the one returned for 2 weeks due to order not being complete (lighting pendants were missed off of the delivery due to Wickes ordering error).
The floor tiles ordered were deemed unsuitable due to a large variance in colour/ pattern in the packs and also their design is unsuitable for achieving a regular occurring pattern due to no gaps allowed for to match up.
We have had to request a worktop care kit and oil which we were led to believe came with the order of the wooden worktops but that did not materialise. The oil has now been provided as a 'good will gesture' but not the care kit and I had to visit the store to collect.

The lighting pendants were finally delivered but after the electrician had completed the other works and therefore they quoted an addiitonal £140 to return.
I have been forced to return the pendants as I can no longer afford the increasing costs, delays and severe inconvenience incurred as a result of the complete lack of customer service received from Wickes both through the customer centre and in store (I was told by the Store Manager that the pendants were a ‘non-refundable item’ but he would do so on this occasion as a ‘good will gesture’ which I found to be verging on offensive).

Wickes are seemingly not interested in resolving issues satisfactory, even though I have been copying in customer relations to my emails again without a response. The last voicemail left on my partners phone (even though we have both repeatedly requested Wickes contact me directly) stated that the electrical installation was not part of the completion works and therefore were seeking confirmation of completion, presumably to arrange for payments to start. Again this is not acceptable.

Overall I am less than satisfied with the level of customer service provided by Wickes and the responses I have been given have been very defensive and poor.

I am in the trade and use the Newmarket store daily. Staff are always massively helpful and friendly.
