So efficient, helpful and good quality product. My kitchen designer Nick Hyde was excellent. The whole service is so good, keeping me informed. I can't wait for my kitchen to be installed

We have an open plan living/dining and kitchen area in our house, one area required a large media wall and at the opposite side we needed a large kitchen to match.
We had previously been to Wren but wasn’t happy with the service, so went to Wickes Newmarket.
There we met with Nick Hyde, he listened to what we were looking for, gave suggestions and talked us through all options.
We left Nick with all the measurements and he proceeded to design both Media wall and Kitchen.
To say he met the Brief is an understatement, he surpassed our expectations.
A few changes here and there which were dealt with with speed.
Can’t recommend Nick enough, very knowledgeable about all products and has a great design and eye for detail.

What made this experience great? The answer is simple: Rob Andrews! If we could give '6' stars, we would .. Wickes Newmarket are lucky to have a very professional, engaging kitchen design consultant who provided us with excellent advice and support .. 100% recommended

We had a Wickes bathroom installed in January, and initially we were very happy.
However, in July we noticed that the shower tray has cracked so I put in a warranty claim to get it replaced. That's when all the trouble started. It is now mid-December and it has still not been done.
The problem I think has arisen from complete lack of care and communication from both the head office/warranty team and the Newmarket store.
The process has been mind-numbingly slow. For some reason we had to have the original installer come to take a look as well as someone for Wickes, only for them both to tell us the tray would need replacing. We already knew this. It was such a waste of time.
I have to chase emails every few days. The warranty specialist is polite but has to constantly chase managers and installers. The process is not streamlined in the slightest.
Apparently replacement tiles had to be ordered via the Newmarket branch and they were not answering emails or calls. I had to go and pick them up as well, costing me time and money in petrol. The warranty team and the store were apparently in disagreement about whose responsibility it was to order the tiles.
I have tried to email our designer on a few occasions and he does not respond.
I have sent 4 complaints to the customer services email and all have been ignored.
This is quite frankly ridiculous. We paid £9000 for a bathroom which has a shower we can't use.
Honestly, it feels like Wickes have taken our money so now they don't care.

Nick listened to our requirements ,
and had numerous suggestions for improvements. his knowledge was considerable , and especially with advising on the most suitable appliances for Steph , who has sight issues

Never ever recommend, unreliable delivery and not helpful customer service, twice let me down, as I’m trade won’t order from Wickes again…

I have my new kitchen supplied by Wickes. Nick Hyde from the Newmarket branch was great. He listened to my thoughts and ideas and brought my vision to life. He was patient and professional throughout the whole process. He was prompt in replying to messages and when I needed extra items he facilitated the orders without delay. I would definitely recommend seeing Nick as a design consultant, I am very happy with the service he gave, thanks so much!

Purchased some of the wickes topsoil, which proved to be slightly problematic, but I can only say with the support from Wickes, especially their topsoil supplier, Dave Gibbs of Supagrow I can’t recommend Wickes and Supagrow product support enough - they were 100% behind making sure my issue was resolved and now I have an amazing lawn - many thanks Dave GIbbs and Wickes Newmarket branch

I have now been trying to resolve issues with Wickes Customer Relations Department since my kitchen was delivered on 18th June 2024. It is now the 3rd August 2024 and I have still heard nothing back from them other than an email to say that they would get back to me in 2 working days!
Even the Manager of Wickes Newmarket store has not received an answer from them despite emailing them twice.
Unless you enjoy a lot of grief and being totally ignored I can only recommend that you do not use this company for any major purchases such as a kitchen.
It's totally beyond me as to why they still haven't got back to me after all this time!
All I can do is keep posting these reviews until someone from Customer Relations has the courtesy to reply to me.

Update 04/08/24 Thank you Scott for getting back to me, perhaps finally we will be able to resolve these issues which could have so easily been dealt with right at the beginning. There is nothing more infuriating than just being totally ignored and being left with an unfinished kitchen.

Scott I have just tried to reply to your request for my address and postcode, but the email keeps getting returned as unable to deliver?

Update 3, It just gets worse! I have just tried to reply to the email from Scott Holton at Wickes Customer Services only to find that they no longer accept emails and that you have to fill in a contact form instead, or you can view FAQ's.
It would appear that Wickes are so inundated with complaints that they are now trying to make it as difficult as possible to contact them, to relieve the load.
I suppose that they hope most people will just give up trying if they make it as difficult as possible.
It looks as though I am now going to have to turn to the Ombudsman to get any joy.
I think it's disgraceful that Wickes chooses to treat their customers like this!!!
