Unnecessary and unprovoked
As the owner of a BMW M Sport E92, I brought my vehicle in for an official airbag recall. While there on the morning of 1st October, I had a pleasant interaction with an advisor and requested to book a test drive for the new BMW X3, with a view to initiating a business lease through my company. I was officially booked in for 4:30 PM the following day, and explicitly noted I would arrive around 4:00 PM.
When my sonâwhom I had excitedly picked up from universityâand I arrived at 4:00 PM, the experience deteriorated into what I can only describe as unexpected peasantry and blatant elitism:
⢠Disorganisation: The receptionist initially had no record or awareness of the appointment, before vaguely remembering the booking had been made the previous day.
⢠Condescending Demeanour: We were made to wait before being approached by a staff member who visibly judged us from head to toe. Because I speak with a foreign accent, the tone of the interaction immediately shifted.
⢠Prejudiced Gatekeeping: A manager named Luke then intervened. With a veneer of false politeness, he repeatedly insisted that he needed to "evaluate the options" to find the "appropriate car" for me, repeating this phrase three times alongside a dismissive, "you know what I mean." I had already clearly stated my target model was the X3.
⢠Unprofessional Dismissal: No one had informed me when booking that an X3 was unavailable for a test drive. When I clarified that I was a genuine commercial buyer looking for a competitive leasing arrangement, Luke dismissively responded, "Cars are sold every day here, come when you are ready to buy."
My son and I were exceptionally well-presented. The discriminatory undertone of this interaction was loud and clear: Luke assumed, based entirely on my accent, that we were not serious buyers worthy of his time or a premium brand's standard of hospitality.
To behave in this manner, let alone to humiliate a customer in front of their son, is entirely unacceptable for a brand like BMW. Lukeâs arrogance has completely clouded our excitement and ensured that my companyâs capital will be spent elsewhere. Manchester or London.
My 330E brake down
My 330E broke down and was just over the 3 year time. The AC had also packed up and needed a new compressor. I had to pay over £1000 to have my car colleted and delivered to Liverpool Williams BMW. I was given a 3 week wait for the fault to be investigated. It took over 8 weeks for it to even go in their workshop. I rang a number of times and was promised they would find out and call me back they never did. They lied to me on one occasion when i was stood next to my car in their parking lot and rang they said it was in the workshop. I suggested they look out the window as i was standing next to my car. I would never buy another BMW and despite ring BMW customer services i have only been offered £50 towards the £2000 cost of repairs on a car i brought brand new paying cash for from Williams Liverpool. Stay away from Liverpool BMW and this make of car.
Damaged my car
On a recall they washed my car leaving it with scratches. Then the denied even washing the car even though if was soaking wet and stood in a puddle on a dry day when i picked it up 10 mins after the call to say it was ready. The even got my Goole maps review take down. Look on the reviews they have history with damaging car while cleaning them.
After pouring on the scorn for thisâŠ
After pouring on the scorn for this dealership, bless their hearts they turned my opinion around.
The fact of the matter is theyâre massively understaffed and those that are there are under crazy pressure.
Thank you Kathryn, Jake, Dan and Alan, your care and assistance over these last few weeks was and is, greatly appreciated.
Failed to have parts for pre-booked service
Booked in the car with the elcetronic book in stand and on the "anything to tell us" box on the onscreen book in i stated i suspected the washer sump was leaking. This fell on deaf ears on main service. There was no acknowledgement that it was leaking or a cost to fix. Why have a box on your book in screen if your just going to ignore it?
I had it booked in for a full service 6 months in advance for my mini which has a FSH. Mini invoiced me the parts, cost and part numbers in advance, plus several emails and texts confirming i was attending. Got a ring 2 hours later as they not a have the fuel filter for my car despite it being a main dealer. They failed to ensure parts were available ahead of service which is really poor.
When i spoke to them, has to push hard and firmly for an apology. No offer of a discount or anything to mitigate this.
Had previous issues at this dealership when brake fluid was changed, as per service requirement at this dealership. The mechanic failed to reset service indicator so now it is baked into the service record on the car as an overdue flag and cannot be rectified or removed. Really poor BMW mini!
They didn't bother to hover out my car even when i was paying the thick end of £400 for the service. Really poor from a BMW main dealer. Will not be returning again. Some serious issues and sloppiness associated with this dealership. I would avoid.
10/10 customer experience.
Had a fantastic and easy experience buying my BMW i5 from Williams BMW in Liverpool. Great relaxing and efficient service from James with the sale. Excellent aftercare and communication from Ahmed with a few finance nuances. Very easy, friendly process. Great communication. Great car. Great people. Iâll be back in 4 years or less!
Service Requirements
My BMW tells me when I need any form of service but approaching that time, I am hit by emails, texts and phone calls pestering me to book the service. I am able to read and understand the mileage before the service is required but am pestered by Williams.
It has reached the stage where I have blocked them and am going elsewhere.
Outstanding 5* - used iX purchase from Williams Liverpool
Outstanding service from start to finish, purchased an approved used BMW iX from Williams Liverpool. Excellent customer service from Mike Jones, thank you for an easy, professional experience. The coffee is also excellent, and cake! Loved the car tutorial on pick up, and the little touches of William the teddy bear and complimentary umbrellas in the boot, all adds to the excellent customer experience. Thanks guys.
I recently took my BMW 5 Series in forâŠ
I recently took my BMW 5 Series in for a standard oil service, but the experience was deeply disappointing. After dropping the car off, I was called and told the car had a DPF sensor fault and broken screen wash.
There are three main issues I'd like to highlight:
⢠Inaccurate Diagnostics: After I questioned the "faulty" screen wash, the advisor checked again and admitted they were working fine.
⢠Contradictory Information: I was told the DPF light was on when I arrived; it was not. I was then quoted over £400 to fix a fault that only appeared once the car was in their care.
⢠Poor Attention to Detail: The promised interior and exterior clean was completely overlooked. So in summary my car has warning light illuminated on the dash that wasnât there before after I have paid fir a service!
I will not be returning.
Avoid them if you can
Every interaction I've had with Williams Liverpool has ended in disappointment.
In my experience I've found them to be unhelpful, slow, often rude, and to use unethical practices.
They make mistakes, don't follow up on promises made and just don't seem to care.
Liverpool
Sales process so far has been clear and professional, and the figures in the agreement appear consistent. Communication has also been very good throughout, and Steve in particular has been excellent to deal with. He has been helpful, responsive, and has made the process much easier. I will update further after delivery and after spending some time with the vehicle.
Warning do not use !!
Warning do not use !!
I had my bmw x5 repaired here I revived a call telling me my car was ready for collection upon arrival I immediately noticed that they had fitted the wrong wheel to my car (mine are Matt silver they fitted a diamond cut with a grey background) to which they said take the car it will only be temporary and this will get sorted asap months pass and after multiple calls and getting nothing back off them they eventually purposely started ignoring my calls all together even ignoring my insurance after they tried contacting them! Left me with odd wheels and didnât even fit my rear door properly Iv had to have repaired else where out of my own pocket how these issues passed there quality control is beyond me Embarrassing to say the least if you have the chance to go elsewhere I highly recommend you do !
Where to begin in this epic saga- First Step AVOID this company
Where to begin in this epic saga.. Bottom line, they have a flash office, wear nice suits and offer free coffee but the used car sales people are no different to any other back street garage. Not to be trusted.
Hidden pre existing damage on my vehicle. Bald tyres (2 of them) missing features we were assured the vehicle have- response was âour mistake, nothing we can do about itâ.
Uphill struggle to get them to fix the hidden damage.
Advised we damaged the alloys when I dropped the vehicle off at the service centre for repairs- little did they know I took images of my vehicle (major trust issues with this company) at time of drop off inc wheels which had no damage to them.
Finally fixed the hidden damage, car back home, a lot of paint overspray all over the vehicle.
Complaints to Williams, BMW UK (who donât read complaints and tell you to go back to Williams despite already issuing them with several complaints) Williams CEO (no response, must be playing golf or counting his money) and a complaint now ready to be issued to the finance company.
They also recommended an EV installer- Left the job is a dangerous way- a lot of pressure to use their installer but when it goes wrong they have no interest.
I will never step foot in to a WILLIAMS BMW garage ever again. 19 years, 6 vehicles from them.
BMW IX 6 months old
BMW IX 6 months old, steering rack / suspension issue, £10k to repair a bush / sensor. Told my warranty was void due to driving over speed bumps. Liverpool staff are vile.
The worst customer experience ever
The worst customer experience ever. The place is run by a bunch of bigots and liars. Not only was the customer service poor but my vehicle sustained extensive damage to both the exterior and interior, none of which was present at the time of handover. Externally, the vehicle had been badly scuffed and damaged along the rear side, including the rear bumper, taillights, and rear quarter panels, as well as the nearside (passenger side), including the wing mirror and spoiler. Internally, there were splatters of white paint throughout the cabin, including on door handles, along with visible scuffing and damage to the leather seats. The boot/trunk area was also left damaged and marked.
These damages were clearly caused while the vehicle was in the custody and control of Williams Liverpool BMW. The subsequent attempts to deny responsibility and, in my view, obscure the origin of this damage have only compounded the matter.
Overall, this experience has been deeply distressing and intimidating. It demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, integrity. Stay away from this company.
Suck the manager and the liars there uâŠmanager is 1 arrogant person absolutely disgusting
Suck the manager and the liars there u damage my car and thyed to blame it on me u couldn't provide cctv even u have 4 cameras im absolutely discussed
Every time Iâve gone the service centreâŠ
Every time Iâve gone the service centre in Liverpool always a bad experience the staff have no customer service skills, downright rude, sit on their phones while your waiting, no recognition Iâm just dealing with something be with you in a mo, I stopped going here years ago prefer to use a local garage. The sales side is 5 star pity the service side lets it down wouldnât even give them 1 star majority of the staff need sacking and new blood brought in. Think they are far superior
Im sorry I didnt read the reviewsâŠ
Im sorry I didnt read the reviews before my service in Liverpool. I took my car infor a oil service and uring the service my car notified me, I randomy had a inspection due 29 days earlier than the date Itook it in. They told me some random story about it was hidden behind a oil service that it wasnt due.The Inspection was just the MOT reminder. I took the car back and was blagged to have a air filter fitted. if they had any decency they would have just addmitted they reset it to the wrong year, we all make mistakes, This has put me off BMW now as I complained to BMW and they just sided with williams knowing full well they had added the inspection on to my car as I sent them 2 screen shots of before the service and during the service. total cowboys and im very dissapointed in BMW :(
STAY AWAY FROM BMW LIVERPOOL
STAY AWAY FROM BMW LIVERPOOL â MISLEADING SALES & ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY
I purchased a brand new BMW 7 Series from BMW Liverpool in 2018, trusting the salesman (Riz) to guide me through the finance and GAP paperwork. Like many consumers, I relied on his expertise. A year later, I received a call from the manager at the time informing me that Riz had manipulated the documents and kept funds paid directly to him. He was later dismissed, but the damage was already done.
Recently, I was involved in an incident and had to make a GAP insurance claim, only to discover that the paperwork had been altered. I am now dealing with the Financial Ombudsman and urgently need documentation from BMW Liverpool to support my case.
Despite weeks of calls and follow-ups, I have received no meaningful support. Iâve spoken with Ian, the current new car sales manager, who has not returned my calls or provided assistance. I was told Iâd hear back after they spoke to their Head of Business, but â unsurprisingly â I never did. When I called again today to request the Head of Businessâs email address, I was told it couldnât be given out. Thatâs deeply concerning, especially when the issue stems from misconduct by their former employee.
This dealership has shown a complete lack of responsibility, communication, and customer care. The BMW itself was fantastic, but I strongly advise anyone considering BMW Liverpool to look elsewhere. Once theyâve sold you the car, they disappear â even when the problems are of their own making.
I bought a used car from BMW WilliamsâŠ
My husband bought a used car from BMW Williams in June 2025.
We were very disappointed with the sales person, he was so inefficient making a number of mistakes one of which was filling in the V5c form incorrectly, not once but twice. As a consequent of these errors I have had to write to the DVLA explaining the errors and providing proof of purchase. Over a month since collecting my car I still havenât got the correct V5c.
The Sales persons whole attitude was very lax and it was one of the worst experiences I have had while buying a car.
