Be prepared for delays and a runaround
Ordered an item (metal reading dragon sculpture) on May 28 with an estimated ship day of July 2. On June 18 I got an email from Plow And Hearth that my order would be delayed until July 9. Around the first of July, I was notified my credit card had been compromised in a data breach, and I had to get a new card number. I called Wind and Weather on July 7 to change the credit card number on my order so that it would not be denied when it shipped. I learned then that the ship date on my order had changed again, to August 6, and the website was showing new orders wouldn't ship until mid September, BUT I was told that I would not "lose my place in line."
On July 8 I got a cancellation notice from Wind and Weather for the original order. On July 14, I got an email from Plow And Hearth that the new ship date would be Sept. 17. I could not find the order status online anymore.
When I emailed to ask about the new date change, they replied that since I had to cancel due to a payment issue, the new order did not keep the old delivery date and I that I was told incorrect information over the phone. They also told me that "phone orders" (which my order now is because of the credit card change) do not show the status on their website. Even though I have an order number, Order Inquiry does not return any information.
The item on their website no longer gives an estimated ship date, so I really have no idea if I'll ever get the item I order or not. My wife and daughter still want it, or I would have cancelled just on general principle.
Product defective, service is, too
I ordered a Galileo thermometer from Wind & Weather. It's a glass tube with colored balls in it that float in a different pattern to indicate the ambient temperature. The one they sent doesn't work--it indicates a constant temperature of 95 degrees F in my living room, which just isn't true. I contacted the company about the quality control, an issue they didn't even address. They've shunted me over to Amazon, which of course is being mysterious about how I'm going to bet any refund.
Scams
2/25/24 Wind & Weather has several scams they perpetrate on their website. No. 1 is wasting your time by not letting you use your established password. You can try and try to re-enter it but never succeed. This is 2024 and high time Wind & Weather had a user-friendly website. How disrespectful to customers to waste their time.
No. 2 is sucking you in with offer of a BIG DISCOUNT TODAY and then charging a huge S&H fee. No. 3 is trying to get you to click ORDER NOW before they’ve disclosed the S&H fee. No. 4 is not posting poor reviews but telling the customer that they post all reviews and the customer must be looking in the wrong place. DUH. No. 5 – I decided I don’t want to spend anymore of my precious time today detailing more W&W scams.
Snowmen Spinner
I ordered the snowmen spinner for an outdoor Christmas decoration. The surface area is so small it doesn’t spin. Very disappointed
Ordered two items and first shipment…
Ordered two items and first shipment got one item. I waited for the second item, finally I contacted them and they stated they would ship it out immediately. They were still selling the item on their website for less than what I paid for it. Today I received a notice that my item was canceled. Really I'm sure they sold out after my order, but sent the item out to orders placed after mine. Think twice before ordering from them again.
My wife's credit card was compromised…
My wife's credit card was compromised and fraudulently used to make a purchase from Wind and Weather. I have called them twice and talked to some nice customer service people. However, I was supposed to get a call back from someone that would help me track down the hacker/fraud charger and never got a call.
Don't shop here
I ordered a basket of bulbs for a Christmas gift early in December that stated it would be delivered by 12/11-12. I needed that early date because recipient was traveling for the holiday. Wind and weather keeps pushing the ship date out! Every day I look, it is later! I called customer service and they said people were out sick and were unsure when/if it will ship! Totally Terrible customer service and now it looks like I did not send a gift! Will NEVER shop here again. They DONT care about their customers and I'm sure workers were not sick for WEEKS! Don't shop here!
I ordered a $100 gift card. Zero customer service.
I ordered a $100 gift card for the second year in a row (huge mistake). Despite having 2 e-mail confirmations from W&W, complete with order numbers and shipping confirmation numbers, the physical card has not arrived after more than a month. "Contact us" inquiries go unanswered and multiple phone calls lasting more than 45 minutes have been a total waste of time. My next step will be to contact my attorney, all over a $100 purchase, but that is my only option. Lesson learned. Never again.
False advertisement on signing up with email to receive $10 off first order …
After finding a copper boot tray listed for $44.97 on sale. I signed up for the false advertisement that if signing up for first time customer with email I would receive $10 off order. While waiting more than 3 days for Wind & Weather to send me a coupon which they still have not sent despite harassing me with other emails they boot tray is now $64.97 and no coupon. Because of their false advertisement and harassing emails I would not ever order from this company.

Undoubtedly one of the most messed up companies I have dealt with. Totally botched up my orders, delivered incorrectly, issued a return, cancelled a return, advised returning to UPS, then sent me a FED EX return label. Stay away from this company! IN THEIR DEFENSE, they have promised to refund everything. Will wait and see.

I ordered and received the WHI Glass Floor Lamp. This lamp is of poor quality! It does not stand straight as the metal is very thin. The toggle switch is already broken and does not work. There is no way this lamp is worth the money I paid for it even though it was on sale. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Yes, I know I can return it but to pack and ship this item back would be a project I don't have time for nor am I willing to spend money on the packing needed. The packing used to ship it here is not useable because in order to get the item out of the box it had to be torn apart. Perhaps I can use the shade, which by the way is not glass, for something else.
great customer service
their customer service is really great. however, some of their products are not so great. I bought a solar balancer that refuses to spin even though it is in full sun. they gave me a second one with the same problem. then gave me a full refund. how great is that?
Excellent Customer Service
I bought a product for $20 that was defective or just "bad" and did not want to go through the trouble of returning it, so I called and just vented. Without asking they processed a refund, no questions asked. Now THAT is real Customer Service! I would not hesitate to recommend this Company and will gladly do business with them again.

Their website never stated the item was out of stock. Of course after I placed my order I was informed it was not in stock but they expected it in two weeks. Two weeks became three weeks then four weeks then five weeks, I think you get the story. Finally after six weeks I request a refund. They offer an exchange for another item at first and then just stopped responding. Thank goodness for PayPal. I filed a claim with them and then received my refund.

Antiqued Metal Hanging Solar Light - Scalloped is pretty cheap looking. This one is not broken, but hangs crooked...cheap China imports! I was going to give as a gift, but changed my mind about that because I would be embarrassed to give this out. I still haven't received the second item well over 2 weeks after placing the order. I have emailed twice with no response, I have called 3 times now and was given a song and a dance about why I don't have it yet. Today the person I talked to said she had to talk to her supervisor and the supervisor will call me back. It was supposed to be in stock after the first phone call and the second phone call... WTH is going on here?? I am right now waiting for my $39.95
Holiday Glass and Metal Snowman Mobile that I was also going to send out as a gift for Christmas, but it's too late now!! I will never order from this company again. I really liked the things I saw in the catalog, but pictures are deceiving.
Brass Jeffersonian rain gauge
We purchased a rain gauge for $150 and the ball lost it's red color in the first 6 months. We just had over an inch of rain but the ball didn't float in the water so when I went to pull up the ball it suctioned to the vial and the vial dropped and broke. So we called Wind & Weather and they want $20 for the ball & $20 for the vial plus shipping to replace these parts. The rain gauge wasn't worth the price and now we will look for another store to be buying our outdoor items. So disappointed that they would charge us to replace the vial & ball.

I ordered an item from this company …
I ordered an item from this company because it was on sale. However, I was charged the full price. I assumed this was an error, as the item continued to be listed as on sale. I was unable to email Wind & Weather, as there is no information regarding their email address. The link for return information did not work. When I finally got through to customer service, I was told there was nothing they would do. I am returning the item, and never shopping here again. I strongly suggest you do the same!
Poor quality items
I purchased 2 x metal bee & butterfly spinner garden stakes.
Based on reviews on their site, these items not only look great but spin well and are good quality.
This is not true. They did not spin (except in gale force wind) and quality is very cheap. I went to post my own reviews, only to find I could not. So how are reviews posted by customers? It looks like only employees can post reviews.
Deception is never good.
You will get the stuff you order, however, be warned it is overpriced and does not work as advertised.
