I am a frequent traveler and need a bag that I can take with me into the cabin of a plane. it needs to be compact, light, on wheels, and can accommodate a suit with it's normal furnishings plus some additional clothing and overnight items. The Nova large bag seemed to fit the bill. It arrived as advertised and I took it on my first across country trip. Other than for the zipper being stiff, I found it perfect for my needs. The suit was not creased and everything worked. The only item that could not fit without having to leave out something else were the shoes. But that seemed obvious from looking at how the bag worked.
I contacted customer service about the zipper as it is still somewhat stiff. They were quick to respond and advised that it would work itself out with time. i am going on an overseas trip so we will have to see it that happens.
One suggestion is that the material used for the bag should be softer to provide more flexing. That way it can be compressed more easily for an under the seat option versus an over head compartment alternative.
I am very impressed and pleased with my purchase and in particular with the customer service and the ingenuity of the bag.

Customer service replied to my question within 24 hours and was super helpful. Received my large Nova bag within 2 weeks of ordering. Excellent product, excellent customer service. There have a lot of bad reviews from a year ago or so but have definitely fixed the issues and have always had top notch products

I ordered the large Nova carry-on and the packing cubes separately. I’ve not yet received either. However, for the packing cubes order, I apparently mistyped my e-mail address and, as a result, I didn’t receive my purchase confirmation. I sent a message through the website asking for confirmation of my purchase and a very kind person named Zander contacted me over the holiday weekend. He researched the problem, discovered my error, and put it all to rights very quickly. He even sent me a tracking link for the delivery. I am very pleased with the excellent care I’ve received thus far.

I placed a “pre-order” for the Nova bag and was told it would be ready to ship May 18th. To my surprise, my bag arrived at my house May 16th! I was so happy it arrived sooner than I was told. I love this bag. I ordered the large sand colored bag and it’s beautiful. The quality surpasses what I imagined. I can’t wait to use it!

I saw multiple ads for this bag and it looked so good but I was hesitant. I then inquired as I was concerned I may not get it in time for an upcoming trip. I have a nice Tumi case but it is a bit heavy and was looking for something a bit more portable as I recently had shoulder surgery and can't lift too much weight. Today I received the bag. I am over the MOON! It came faster than expected, and it is beautiful! Great quality, lighter weight than a hardshell suitcase and so perfect. Pockets for everything. And the support is off the charts. Friendly, exact and no BS. I felt valued as a customer and am elated with my bag and am happy to deal with such a great company.

I requested to return an expensive, unused gift — with all original tags and packaging intact — just four days past their (suspiciously short) 14-day return window. Over the course of more than four weeks, I sent multiple polite follow-ups while awaiting a decision. Responses were delayed, vague, and ultimately led to a flat refusal to accommodate the situation.

Despite marketing themselves as a brand built on craftsmanship, trust, and customer connection, Wool & Oak showed none of these values when it mattered most. They rigidly adhered to policy over basic decency, loyalty, or understanding — even when the return request was reasonable and the item was in perfect condition.

I will not be purchasing from Wool & Oak again, and I will be actively advising others to avoid them as well. When you buy from a premium brand, you expect not just a quality product, but quality service — Wool & Oak failed on the latter.

I received my Nova large in just a few days. Earlier than expected. I live in Los Angeles area. Customer service has been excellent The duffle is great for a short trip where i need a suit or sport coat. If I pack carefully the suit I pack does not wrinkle. That is such a game changer for me so I don’t have to check a bag on a short trip even if I need to bring a suit. I get the comments about the zippers, but they are clearly quality workmanship and the zippers are ok and likely to get bigger over time the more they are used . I give great kudos for the design especially by incorporating the roller wheels. No other duffle that held a suit had wheels. I think the wheel design makes the zip up a little awkward at first , but it seems well worth it to get the positive features( carry on, holds suit, has wheels and enough rooms for 2-3 days of clothes, looks good).
I highly recommend this item Nova Large duffle bag and the customer service of Wool & Oak based on my experience. Look forward to using it long term

I had an issue with a promo code not working correctly. The team at Wool & Oak, especially Zander, were so amazing!! He was so kind and helpful. He was able to promptly respond and sort the issue out successfully. He walked me through the purchase process and followed up afterwards until my product arrived. I purchased the leather Nova bag, hoping it would help with business trips where I needed multiple shirts and jackets. The product came on time and I was happy with the delivery. Suits fit in the garment holder perfectly and I love that it was a duffle that also rolled. Took it on three trips and it worked very well.

On the third trip, I had a problem with the telescoping handle that prevented it from closing completely. I wrote to the company and a couple of mails later I had a new bag. I was just looking to repair it but they went the extra mile to make it work for me.

Highly recommend them and couldn't be happier.

I have purchased the sling bag and nova large with the compression cube set a while back, originally backed it over the kickstarter campaign.

Ever since, these two travel items accompany my every trip, especially short weekend trips to foreign cities. I have not had any problems with neither of the products, nevertheless, I have been in contact with the customer support a few times and every time my expectations were exceeded!

Purchased this fall off 2024. Previously used a Briggs and Riley duffle suitor and lived the idea of covering to a roller especially for boarding and times when I'm wearing a suit and don't want to wrinkle or stress the material. Feature-wise it checks the boxes. Drawbacks that make it annoying- the suit compartment is tight, while the neck is bigger than my b&r I cannot fit as many suits and shirts (Max probably 2 in w&o with shirts, I can go higher in b&r). My biggest issue are all the zippers to close the main compartment. 3 is too much especially since the top zipper requires lining up the ends. B&r engineered with one zipper to release the major compartment, and w&o requires 3. This makes it difficult to open and close quickly. Additionally if you open the entire compartment will flop open since the structure can only be opened wide by opening all 3.

I purchased a big Wool & Oak bag last summer so I could pack my dress, shoes and other important items for weddings, including our own daughter's wedding! I wanted a bag that would not wrinkle my dress and I could carry on. Did not want these items to get lost! The bag is great and fits perfectly in the overhead bin. The leather of the bag has softened over time so the zipper is now much easier to use. It was a little tough at first but worth the patience to close it properly. It also fits my laptop and work related items nicely. Best feature? It is a roller bag. I love it and now I am waiting for a small one to take to Europe. Customer service has been very responsive and I am told more small ones are in production.

I began following Wool & Oak as they were seeking funders for the Nova because the idea of producing a bag with the Nova profile was intriguing. I ordered the first Nova Large, loved it and travel almost everywhere with it; I bought a second one for my son; I showed my bag to a friend and bought one for him too; and then another mutual friend saw ours and...I bought him one also.
The concept is excellent; the execution is perfect and it makes life so much easier travelling with one bag which contains a suit (or two), enough clothes for a long weekend, a separate shoe compartment and all this on wheels, in a size that is allowed on board. Not much more to say than we'll done and thank you to the clever people at Wool & Oak.

Ordering was easy, the item, Nova large in brown leather, shipped quickly and the quality of the bag is evident. The zippers are not stiff and unyielding. I’m looking forward to using it for many years.

My experience with Wool & Oak was excellent.
The bag I ordered arrived promptly, and it was exactly as advertised on their website.
I rate the bag itself as 4 out of 5, as the shoe compartment needs a rethink - if the bag is full of clothes, the shoe compartment doesn't extend properly due to items in the main body of the bag.
The bag itself is of very high quality and worth every penny ( or dime for my American friends)!

The Wool & Oak team started my experience off on the wrong foot, but by the end the customer service team has resolved all issues and ensured I was taken care of. The Large Nova bag itself is an amazingly designed product for short business trips that require a garment bag integration. The 3rd Party logistics firm failed to make an adjustment to supplier knowing about a postal strike. W&O received this feedback well. After receiving the first bag with a defective wheel, the W&O team addressed the issue by simply replacing the entire bag. I look forward to using it often on my 2-4 day business hauls.

Absolutely stunning bag!! And indeed really practical for various uses. Also received great support from the team (importing to where I live is not easy, but we managed) 👍

I love the form and function of my Nova large bag. It looks great-I got a couple of compliments on it- fit easily in the overhead and gave me a place to put my suit on 2 weekend trips 1 for a wedding one for a funeral. I bought one for my better half and recommended to several friends

Total scam, stay away! I bought the duffle and within the first trip the zippers broke and the wheels fell apart. The quality is horrendous and the marketing a bait and switch. 14 day return policy over the long holiday period a joke!
