Core functionality removed after purchase - very disappointing
Iâve been a long-term Yamaha customer and invested heavily in the MusicCast ecosystem across my home, including amplifiers, soundbar, subwoofer and multiple speakers.
A key reason for choosing Yamaha over other brands was the advertised compatibility with voice assistants such as Alexa (and Google), allowing full voice control of the system.
Following a recent update, this functionality has now been removed. The system no longer performs as it did when purchased, and a core feature has effectively been withdrawn.
I contacted Yamaha directly to understand the situation and was informed that:
The issue is linked to third-party changes
The functionality has been withdrawn
There are no plans to reinstate it
No remedy or compensation is being offered
While I appreciate that third-party integrations can change, this was a major feature and formed a key part of my purchase decision. Removing it significantly impacts the usability and value of the system.
What is most disappointing is the response from Yamaha, which feels like the issue has been brushed aside rather than properly addressed for affected customers.
I am now pursuing this further with the retailer under UK consumer law.
Overall, very disappointing experience from a brand I previously trusted.

Top-Receiver ... aber bei einer CashBack-Aktion waren offenbar zwei QR-Codes zur Produktregistrierung in Umlauf und nun bekomme ich nach etlichen Monaten seit direkter Nachfrage den Hinweis, es sei nun selbst fÌr eine Kulanz zu spÀt. Quatsch, da solche Buchungen in jedem Unternehmen jederzeit möglich. Spricht wohl leider fÌr sich.

Pour un scooter neuf et un silencieux dâéchappement Akrapovic vendu par Yamaha dont le joint a été endommagé par la concession dans laquelle jâai acheté mon scooter, des mois dâattente.. Je dois rouler actuellement avec mon silencieux dâorigine et ne pas profiter de mon accessoire à plus de 1000 euros.. à fuir absolument..!!!!
Faulty Yamaha RX V4A Amplifiers
I purchased a Yamaha RX V4A Amplifier.
It was going fine until just out of warranty when the unit kept going into protection mode. By the way this is widely reported. I took it for repair only for it to continue to do it. Yamaha were no help and told me to take it back to the repair shop where there would be another fee. Cutting a long story short I would stay well clear of this unit and Yamaha. We have a Denon unit still going strong after 17 years. 3 years is a joke when you think you are receiving a quality product. 0 stars for Yamaha.

Ich bin leider sehr enttÀuscht vom Kundenservice von Yamaha.
Bei meinem AV-Receiver RX-A4A (Kaufpreis ÃŒber 1.500 â¬) treten Tonaussetzer auf. FÃŒr das GerÀt besteht eine 5-Jahres-Garantie, weshalb ich mich an den Yamaha Support gewandt habe.
Die Kommunikation verlief jedoch sehr langsam und nach mehreren Nachrichten wurde ich am Ende lediglich an eine Service-Station oder den HÀndler verwiesen. Dort mÌsste ich den gesamten Sachverhalt erneut erklÀren und den Prozess praktisch wieder von vorne beginnen.
Von einem Hersteller wie Yamaha hÀtte ich einen deutlich besser organisierten und koordinierten Service erwartet. Bei einem GerÀt in dieser Preisklasse erwarte ich eigentlich, dass sich der Hersteller im Garantiefall aktiv um die gesamte Abwicklung kÃŒmmert â von Anfang bis Ende.
ZusÀtzlich hÀtte ich erwartet, dass zumindest geprÃŒft wird, ob ein Service vor Ort möglich ist. Ein AV-Receiver dieser Klasse ist schwer und nicht gerade einfach sicher zu verpacken. Es ist kein gutes GefÃŒhl, ein GerÀt im Wert von ÃŒber 1.500 ⬠per Post zu verschicken â insbesondere wenn unklar ist, wer im Schadensfall wÀhrend des Transports haftet.
AuÃerdem fÀllt es mir schwer, ein so teures GerÀt an einen Servicepartner zu schicken, der online teilweise sehr kritische Bewertungen hat.
So stelle ich mir den Service eines Premium-Herstellers ehrlich gesagt nicht vor.
Sollte sich die Situation noch positiv entwickeln und Yamaha die Abwicklung kundenfreundlicher gestalten, bin ich selbstverstÀndlich bereit, diese Bewertung entsprechend zu aktualisieren.

All you receive is an email addess from NO REPLY stating they're looking into it and another asking you to uploads the same document all over again!Today I spotted an email stating that I'm nolonger entitled to the cash back as the offer finished 3 days ago! Pedà una chaqueta para regalarla en reyes, nunca llegó por supuesto, pero ni se podÃa hacer seguimiento del pedido, ni podÃas ver nada, tras ponerme pesada y mandar emails me retrasan el pedido , tampoco llega en ese retraso de ellos, y tras cancelarlo y pedir mi dinero por qué ya no la querÃa. Sin ningún problema total tu paquete está perdido, porque hemos hablado con el servicio de mensajerÃa( perfecto ) en unos dÃas te llega el reembolso.
Si no llego a mandar un email porque ya no querÃa vuestro producto( entre otras por la poca seriedad), no me entero de que está perdido y nadie me avisa.

in data 25/11/2025 ho fatto eseguire il tagliando dei 20000 Km al mio T-MAX del 2022 ho speso 800 euro e dopo alcune settimane quando usavo il freno posteriore sentivo un rumore di sfregamento piuttosto accentuato, non sopportandolo più il 28/12/2025 ho smontato la pinza freno posteriore e le pastiglie non c'erano più frenavo col ferro ho guardato il conta chilometri e avevo percorso dal giorno del tagliando 300 Km, oserei dire una bella vergogna.
Adesso cercherò di comunicare quanto accaduto a Yamaha Europa e per conoscenza a Yamaha Japan e sempre pre conoscenza alla guardia di finanza. non credo succederà nulla però chissà .

I have enjoyed a wonderful outcome with Yamaha Customer Service for my audio needs. Getting a LIVE person is so refreshing. Better than that is they know their stuff and actually hang with you until the issue is resolved.
Even better, their customer records minimize you having to go back everything over and over if you need multiple calls. Loved the experience and they deserve a 5, heck a 6 out of 5.

Le tablier permet de profiter du trajet même par mauvais temps.
Imperméable et conçu pour garder la chaleur, il protÚge les jambes et assure un plus grand confort en cas de pluie ou de vent.
Quand je prends mon scooter, et quâil est parqué a extérieur et quâil pleut, il y a toute lâeau à lâintérieur de tablier, il nâest absolument pas à imperméable, câest une arnaque, jâai ramené le scooter au garage, ils ont changé le tablier sous garantie, et ça continue encore. Le descriptif du tablier et mensonger et câest pas vrai quâil protÚge la pluie. Alors éviter dâacheter se tablier qui coûte 225 Fr.. Ãa vous évitera comme moi de perdre lâargent, je déconseille cet achat chez Yamaha
