As an experienced CCTV installer, I was recently tasked with supplying and installing two systems for the same customer, one for their home and another for their business premises.

A key requirement was that both systems operate through a single free app, while also delivering strong night vision performance and reliable notifications, all within a tight budget.

I came across Y3K's new CCTV range through a trade magazine and was immediately intrigued by the combination of pricing and features.

Although I hadn't worked with the brand before, my experience with their sales team quickly gave me confidence.

The support was excellent, knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely helpful via both phone and email.

I initially spoke with Dave, followed by Adam, who provided clear advice and recommended the IQCCTV system. The setup included 8MP cameras and NVRs capable of supporting up to nine channels, offering great flexibility for both installations.

Installation was straightforward, with a single CAT cable per camera, and the NVR setup process was quick and intuitive. The accompanying app performed well, was easy to configure, and simple to hand over and explain to end users.

The hardware quality is solid throughout, but the standout feature for both myself and the customer was the exceptional night vision performance, stays colour in very low light conditions.

Overall, this was a very positive experience. I'll definitely be returning to Y3K for future quotes, particularly on larger and more complex projects.

When in doubt, call for Roy Woodman. Asked for assistance in setting up CCTV system on new pc, unfortunately this coincided with being scammed by rogue trader. Roy somehow managed to retrieve data, remotely from my cctv, which included the scammer's van number plate. Roy also gave me info. of what was needed on my new pc to get my cctv up and running. To say that I am well satisfied would be an understatement

Had problems setting up remote feed to a new laptop. Roy sorted out the problem very quickly in a very professional manner. Very satisfied customer.

I had some difficulty with my camera App. I called them and they helped me resolve it immediately. Speedy, professional and very helpful. A great experience, which I will remember.

BT changing to digital voice and change of hub led to CCTV issues with central control been lost on the hub change over. I raised ticket and within less than 24 hours I got a slot and my 20min slot was not closed off until the issues were sorted and call lasted nearly an hour in the end. The main service expert ,Roy, was very client focused and sorted out the hub port issues quickly as well as update of main software to manage the CCTV over mobile app. We reviewed the technical aspects of how to manage the network expansion to maximize any memory capacities of the NVRs and I will be raising a fresh order accordingly.

I spoke with Gary a few times before making a purchase from Y3K, and then ordered via their website.

I have purchased from their X-Vision range including a 16 channel NVR, numerous cameras and other parts to form a new office CCTV system.

First off, the packaging is probably the best I have ever seen, on a par with Secret Lab products.

In terms of hardware, the NVR is very compact, with a simple modern interface, and well laid out in design. It easily fits in my comms cabinet alongside the PoE switch. It doesn't have rack mount brackets so I have placed it on a shelf in the comms cab. I think rack mount brackets would be a good idea.

The build quality of the cameras is also very good I'm self installing the system and I'm impressed with the build quality of the products.

In terms of software and camera functionality, I haven't even started yet, as I'm still installing, but it's obvious this system will do a lot and more than meet my security needs.

On the support front, I needed help with a camera that wasn't connecting so I booked a support ticket. Roy called at the scheduled time and fixed the problem and then followed up with more information as promised. Roy knows the software/hardware inside out that was obvious. Very reassuring.

I've no doubt I'll need more support as I get more in depth with the system configuration so I can use it to its full potential, but I have 100% confidence in Y3K.

I have no hesitation in recommending Y3K, very professional business, people, and products.

I purchased a new IP camera and NVR which worked perfectly, however, I had some slightly older IP cameras which did not work as expected.
After contacting support section and a call from Roy the problem was quickly resolved.

I have been dealing with Y3K for over 10 years now. I had to buy many equipments and all of them were easy to use and excellent (long-lasting) products. I have to note that, despite the fact that they deal with many customers, the service is always excellent. Our advisor was Mr Roy Woodman. I had some issues with my old NVR and when we moved places things were not easy for a non-IT person like me. Mr Woodman was there for us, every step of the way. He devoted all his time until everything was set up properly and provided guidance through out. In many cases he even brought our rendezvous forward in order to accommodate our needs. Purchased a system from them my first time with Y3K, was very pleased with the system, very easy to set up, 100% better that my last system, had no problems, excellent customer service very helpful and always check to see if everything has gone ok, would recommend them completely.

Replaced all my 10 year old POE XVision CCTV HD cameras with clever 4K models. New 4k NVR.

Brilliant pictures and addeded security features. However ran into a couple of IP config problems with one retained old HD domed camera. Could not sort it via technical chat so they rang me and took control of my PC and sorted the problem.

Great to have UK based expert help you can talk to when needed. Roy of Y3K was so skilled with his knowledge
