I have 2 children with ysms and have been coming for over 3 years. Adam is a great teacher and really knows how to get the best out of them. They really enjoy his classes and the growth I have seen in them over the last three years especially in confidence, balance and focus is massive and the children have fun doing it.

Our son has really enjoyed his lessons since he started. It is a very supportive environment, and is great for gaining confidence as well as skills.

YSMS teach karate in a clear and structured way. The focus is on learning each technique well, rather than rushimg to gain belts for the sake of it. The atmosphere is friendly and hits the right balance between hard work, building fitness and confidence and having fun.

A club with a great atmosphere. Open to all ages. With approachable and knowledgeable instructors. Teaching skills to students that will still be useful in years to come.
I would happily recommend this club to all regardless of their current ability. My granddaughter looks forward to the class every week.

Adam Goodison is truly a wonderful teacher of karate. My daughter who is now 13 has been attending his classes for 5 years. It is undeniable how much her confidence, perseverance, self-esteem and self-discipline have grown as a result. She enjoys attending and looks forward to her karate lessons every week. Adam's teaching goes beyond karate skills. It is clear how much loves and cares for the children he teaches. I see him do everything he can to help them grow individually and collectively and he treats each and every one of his students with respect and appreciation.

My son has stepped up the senior belt this year and has developed his skills so much, the additional courses and the instructors are great. Would highly recommend Adam.

This is an amazing martial arts school. Adam and his team adapt to individual learning abilities. He continues to encourage and praise my son on his achievements and improvements over the weeks and months.
My son has gained strength, better core balance and confidence since starting here.

My two sons attend YSMS with Adam in Fishergate and enjoy it! My youngest son started almost a year ago aged 5, and my 7 year old started after seeing how much his little brother enjoyed it.
It’s fun, the kids figure out how to train with other kids and they develop self confidence and body awareness.
Adam is a kind, patient and wonderful teacher who adapts to all ages and abilities.
I’d recommend!

My Son is 10 and been attending the school since July and he is loving it. Learning the values of Karate whilst also keeping fit and healthy. Adam and crew have all made the experience pleasant and fun. 5 star!

Yorkshire school of martial arts changed my life , I started training at the age of 65 , Adam taught me how to respect and train with confidence, I won lots of medals and trophies with the coaches this school is the best karate school in uk , I learnt respect and hard work pays off in the long run , don’t give up , keep training and you will become a respected and healthy martial artist. Don’t think you can’t do this , you can and Adam will look after you with any problems. Karate can be fun as well as hard work

I would highly recommend. Has been great for my child's confidence and discipline. Thr lessons have always been consistent and grading fair and honest with feedback on child's progress and development. Really friendly atmosphere and very supportive of students. It's the one thing my child has stuck at for 5 years and really enjoys.

Highly recommend for both kids and adults. Great for boosting confidence and fitness (physical and mental). Very friendly atmosphere. Can't rate highly enough.

My son has been going to Adam’s karate lessons for over 5 years. He has learned so much and gained great confidence in himself.
Adam is a great sensei with lots of experience and knowledge. The sessions are differentiated to everyone’s ability/needs.
Since my son has joined the club he made lots of friends - and so have I. We are like a family. Cannot recommend this club enough.

Amazing club, amazing instructor!

Me and my daughter have been coming a year now and both love it. The instructor is fantastic and the atmosphere is great.

I joined the club in January of this year with my two kids. Everyone made us feel really welcome and at ease from the start. It’s been amazing to learn to a new skill and meet new people. It’s a great way to exercise and to teach the kids to try new things. Their confidence has grown already and I absolutely love it. Look forward to seeing us all progress in the future :)

At YSMS, my beloved "not-easy-going" son found his right place for doing sports, - is very happy! As parents, so are we,- lucky with the club, and Adam is an excellent instructor, caring and thoughtful.
