A really friendly and supportive karate school where kids are gently encouraged, whilst holding to the ethos of the club. Adam has bags if patience and is a great teacher. I highly recommend this club. The skills the kids learn aren't just about karate but will help them go into the world as more confident and respectful people as they grow up.

Excellent instructor who works really hard to ensure every student receives individual instruction and attention as well as quality whole class teaching. Is endlessly patient andinfuses humour into the classes. Students end up really knowing their stuff, but also when it is appropriate to use it. Very supportive, friendly learning environment that's wonderful for exercise, sport, and energy outlet.

My son has been attending class with Adam since he was five, he's now 13. Adam is an amazing coach. It has given my son heaps of confidence and provides a disciplined environment which has helped turned him into the polite,well mannered, mature young man he is today. I cant recommend enough, this is not only great for learning martial arts and the discipline which it brings but also life skills.

Absolutely amazing place and class that my little boy attends. He’s always smiling and having fun whilst learning how to stay focussed and how to defend himself if ever needed. It’s also building his confidence and stamina too. Would highly recommend Adam’s class’s great communication and always happy to help.

Our son has really enjoyed his lessons since he started. It is a very supportive environment, and is great for gaining confidence as well as skills.

YSMS teach karate in a clear and structured way. The focus is on learning each technique well, rather than rushimg to gain belts for the sake of it. The atmosphere is friendly and hits the right balance between hard work, building fitness and confidence and having fun.

A club with a great atmosphere. Open to all ages. With approachable and knowledgeable instructors. Teaching skills to students that will still be useful in years to come.
I would happily recommend this club to all regardless of their current ability. My granddaughter looks forward to the class every week.

My two sons attend YSMS with Adam in Fishergate and enjoy it! My youngest son started almost a year ago aged 5, and my 7 year old started after seeing how much his little brother enjoyed it.
It’s fun, the kids figure out how to train with other kids and they develop self confidence and body awareness.
Adam is a kind, patient and wonderful teacher who adapts to all ages and abilities.

My Son is 10 and been attending the school since July and he is loving it. Learning the values of Karate whilst also keeping fit and healthy. Adam and crew have all made the experience pleasant and fun. 5 star!

Yorkshire school of martial arts changed my life , I started training at the age of 65 , Adam taught me how to respect and train with confidence, I won lots of medals and trophies with the coaches this school is the best karate school in uk , I learnt respect and hard work pays off in the long run , don’t give up , keep training and you will become a respected and healthy martial artist. Don’t think you can’t do this , you can and Adam will look after you with any problems. Karate can be fun as well as hard work

I would highly recommend. Has been great for my child's confidence and discipline. Thr lessons have always been consistent and grading fair and honest with feedback on child's progress and development. Really friendly atmosphere and very supportive of students. It's the one thing my child has stuck at for 5 years and really enjoys.

Highly recommend for both kids and adults. Great for boosting confidence and fitness (physical and mental). Very friendly atmosphere. Can't rate highly enough.
