I had never heard of this software but saw a review on YouTube and decided to get a trial version because I was having issues with stability using ON1 even on a brand new computer. I am super happy with Zoner - I have had no problems with program stability and it has all the editing tools I need. I think it does a great job keeping colors realistic and the sliders are responsive and accurate. It's now the only editor I use with the exception of using another program for denoise.

I've been a longtime user of multiple image editing packages and felt comfortable with my workflow. However, when I recently bought a camera (Sigma BF) that produces Ultra HDR jpegs, I discovered that there's not much software out there to edit and display such images. It was ChatGPT that put me onto Zoner--I'd never heard of it before--and I was pleasantly surprised. It's amazingly powerful, especially in regard to AI masks, perspective and colour correction, and HDR editing. I still have a lot to explore and learn with it, but I'm very impressed. I will also add that the support team has been very helpful and responsive in answering my questions, which is nice in this day of anonymous mega-corporations.

I'm new user Zoner Studio. But earlier I'm using Lightroom, Affinity, Luminar Neo and I know that this program is as good as many other commercial programs, and can even surpass some of them.

As a long-time, sporadic user of Zoner, I decided to do some work on photos I had been promising a friend. I logged in and seleted an image but nothing opened. I tried another file, same result. Tried several other folders and no images. I contacted tech support and waited to hear from them. After waiting a day, support asked for an image I had a problem with, the log file surrounding the events, and a screenshot of the problem. Five days later, they figured out it was my MS cloud app, OneDrive, that was storing all the actual images as placeholders on my desktop. I moved the images back to my desktop, and everything is great.

Seit vielen Jahren nutze ich Zoner Foto Studio und jetzt Zoner Studio, seitdem sind meine Fotos gut sortiert und jedes Einzelne über die Schlüsselwörter schnell zu finden. Hervoragend sind die Bearbeitungsfunktionen im Entwicklungsmodul gerade mit KI aber auch der Editor mit den Ebenen ist Spitze, Ich habe auch alte Schwarz-Weiß-Fotos zur Farbe verhelfen können. Und zweimal im Jahr kommen wieder Neuerungen. Ich bleibe bei Zoner Studio und empfehle es auch allen anderen auch HobbyFotografen.

Zoner Studio est un logiciel que j'utilise depuis 2009, si je me trompe pas, c'est à dire presque au tout début de zoner : depuis le logiciel a bien évoluer avec de meilleurs modules toujours ergonomiques et intuitifs. Au quotidien, pour les photos de mes sites, j'obtiens le meilleurs sans stress et très rapidement. Les outils IA sont supers et conviviaux et nous font gagner un temps fou... Alors bien sûr que je recommande Zoner Studio, même s'il est en Anglais pour moi qui suis Français, j'espère que la traduction de l'interface viendra, car je suis sûr que des français comme moi l'utiliseraient beaucoup...

I had heard of Zoner Photo Studio before, but I always thought of it just as a way to organize and view photos. I already had a free tool for that, so I never really gave it a proper try.

That changed when I saw a review showing its RAW editing features. I was honestly surprised — the tools are really well thought out, and everything feels natural to use. It just works the way you’d expect as a photographer.

I decided to subscribe because the seven-day trial wasn’t enough to really test it alongside my other work. Zoner’s subscription is affordable and fair for what you get, including updates and improvements, which made it easy for me to explore the software fully and see if it could fit into my workflow while still using Affinity Photo, which I really like.

Editing feels solid. Highlights and shadows are easy to adjust and behave exactly how you’d hope — you can bring out details without messing up the rest of the image. Masking is one of my favorite things in Zoner. It’s really intuitive and powerful. Some advanced selections are still missing, like choosing just the eyes, hair, or skin, and the brush doesn’t yet have edge detection. But with object selection and the other tools, it’s still easy to get precise results, and for most everyday work it’s more than enough.

I also love the file-based workflow. You don’t have to import files or build previews before editing — just open a folder and start. The catalog is optional, which is great if you want more flexibility.

Export quality is excellent. In my experience, the results are just as good as other well-known software, and any differences are really minor. Clients or viewers wouldn’t notice at all.

Overall, Zoner Photo Studio feels stable, well-balanced, and really practical. Compared to some heavily marketed all-in-one solutions, it’s more consistent and work-focused. It might not be as widely known as it deserves to be, but if you’re looking for a capable, flexible editing tool at a fair price, it’s definitely worth checking out.

I mainly photograph landscapes and street photo, so I expect both speed and intuitiveness from a photo editing program. Zoner Studio turned out to be one of the best, multifunctional editors I have ever used. It meets all my needs and offers features I was missing in other applications.
Strengths
- Intuitiveness and responsiveness – the program loads in just three seconds and is ready to work. Slider response is instant, and switching between modules takes only a fraction of a second.
- Photo organization – Zoner recognizes keywords previously assigned in Lightroom, allows stacking photos, and offers fast searching. The map module and geotagging work quickly, enabling filtering by country or city.
- Editing and export – editing photos is simple, and exporting to the Zonerama service makes sharing easy. Zonerama is a cloud-based photo gallery platform directly built into the program. Creating a gallery is as simple as copying photos into the designated folder within Zoner Photo Studio, and they are instantly available online.
- AI Auto and presets – if you don’t know where to start editing, just press AI Auto. The results are excellent and sufficient for most photos. If you want to experiment, you can choose from over 200 presets. Remarkably, all presets together take only 760KB of disk space – that’s amazing. Applying presets is fast, and you can also create your own, even based on AI masks. These masks can select the subject, background, sky, or any object. And if you were annoyed in Adobe/LR by the halo on the horizon when the AI mask darkened the sky, don’t worry – Zoner offers smooth control over mask range and transitions.
- Integration and convenience – Zoner behaves as if it were integrated with Windows, supports Loupedeck, and allows opening any module in separate tabs.
- Price and support – the subscription cost is incredibly affordable, and technical support is at a high level.
Comparison with Adobe
For 15 years I used Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Lightroom Classic is more expensive and slower, while Photoshop is more complicated. Zoner Studio combines the functionality of both programs, offering a user-friendly interface and speed that surprised me. It is a real alternative to LR/PS, and for me – a long-time Adobe user – a shock to find something faster and more convenient.
User experience
Zoner allows browsing photos even without connecting a RAW disk, and the Develop module has its own browser. Transferring edits between computers is as simple as copying one small configuration file. Testing HDR on large files, I achieved results better than in Lightroom without tedious slider adjustments. This shows how thoughtful and refined the program is.
Summary
Zoner Studio is an absolutely brilliant tool – intuitive, fast, responsive, and well-designed. For a landscape and street photographer like me, it has become the natural choice and a reasonable replacement for Lightroom and Photoshop. The only downside is the subscription model, but at this price and with these capabilities, the program is worth every dollar. It’s no surprise it won the TIPA award for best photo software – I only regret not discovering it earlier.

It is a photography program that invites to discover all the possibilities using state of the art features for editing pictures. It supports exporting to a variety of formats and successfully allows experimentation with HDR editing, suitable to be displayed on HDR monitors. It also offers a very good, tuned performance.

So schnell hatte ich noch nie Aufnahmen via GPS zugeordnet, auch die aus dem Archiv. Und noch eine Überraschung, habe testweise, mit anderer Software entwickelte Bilder, noch mal über "Auto-Bearbeitung" laufen lassen. Mein Eindruck, besser, zumindest gleichwertig mit Radiant Photo.

I had been using Adobe LR for many years on iMacs at a time when you could pay for a license without being taken as a hostage with a monthly fee. I now have a PC as well a an aging iMac but I find the photo apps that come with the operating systems to be useless. I mostly wanted a way to organize photos the way LR did, with keywords, stacking etc. Zoner Studio does that and recognizes the keywords that I had assigned with LR. The batch renaming is a great feature. I am still using Affinity photos for developing and do not have much experience with Zoner for that purpose. I with that had a version for iMac OS too,

Once upon a time many years ago, Zoner Studio was far away from affordable for me. Just like MS Office and Adobe Acrobat, Zoner was just too expensive for me to ever afford. In my mind, only businesses and rich people could afford it. But I really needed all three of those programs. So I did what many did, because that avenue was available to me. You know who I'm talking about. That certain website that gave you free software. I never liked that and felt guilty about it, but I had no choice. I live paycheck to paycheck. Time passes and first MS, then Adobe and now YOU have gone to the new fangled idea of renting your software for VERY reasonable rates. The subscription model. I LOVE it!!! I now have legitimate copies of all my software. I can afford it! I can turn my subscriptions off if I don't need it anymore. (Unlikely) I get the latest upgrades and security updates whenever they happen. Life is good! I could not be happier. Let's face it. Zoner Studio is as good as it can get for all the features it has and all I can do with it. It's freaking great. And now, I don't have to feel guilty about owning it. Dejte si pozor. Před koncem licence se automaticky prodlouží. Přijde mail 5 dní před koncem, hodí ho to do hromadné pošty jako jediný od Zoneru, info o cenně si musíte zjistit v profilu, a odstoupit od smlouvy nejde. Takže pak platíte celý rok i když Zoner zrovna nevyužijete. Za mě velké zklamání... musím říct, že mě Zoner mile překvapil a vše vyřešili profesionálně. Aktualizuji recenzi, vyřešeno k mé spokojenosti

Top value for money

I am new into Zoner Photo Studio and I immediately fell in love with it. In the last few days I discovered so many features in ZPS where I just thought…"wow…they seem to have thought about everything I could imagine". I have a lot of experience with the well known tools like Lightroom, Photoshop and Capture One and also tried On1 and ACDSee. But each of them always had more or less things that I was missing for my workflow…ZPS on the other hand has nearly everything covered so far.

The customer experience when I had questions about how certain things work in Zoner Photo Studio was also great. The Zoner team always replied fast and very helpful.

Swapped over to Zoner Photo Studio X about 6 months ago on advice from a friend, had been using Light room for 10 years, and was not happy with the cost and monthly payments. Could not be happier with the move as the interface is similar to Light room so the learning curve was quick. The downloading of files from an SD card is easy, and then copying to the computer is simple. I have set up a back up disc which is automatic and my file cataloged into Month and date order. Exporting completed files is easy and this is also done in date order. Overall I am completely happy with my change of software. Also updates are automatic. Zoner Photo studio X does all that is required for my photography experience. Five Stars.

ZONER.Com recently under handidly renewed a subscription without my permission completely surreptitously. After one year of uknowingly purchasing a copy of Zoner photo editor. I was originally using a crippled version or so I thought but one of their free updates up rated it to profesional mode. On informing them of the mix up they wished me a good day. BE Aware of downloading free software from them!

They now insist that opening an email is the same as renewing a subscription. Which explains why I had a subscription at all. I only used their free version and all this followed. They are smarmy in attitude and definitely underhanded. If you recive any mail from them delete it without reading.
