Unbelievably bad service this morning…

Unbelievably bad service this morning at the Newark, Nottinghamshire store. Appointment was for 9.45am. Traffic was very sticky in town so at 9.43 I asked my husband to give them a call to let them know I was going to be a couple of minutes late; a courteous thing to do I thought. At 9.49 I parked up in Morrisons. At 9.51 I entered the store. The lady took me through all the paperwork and then told me I was too too late and the optician wouldn’t see me. She said they had a 10 minute leeway. She’d already acknowledged the call from my husband as I initially gave my name in. If I was within the 10 minute leeway why did she acknowledge my husband’s call, take me through all the officialdom to then tell me I was too late. Absolutely appalling!! It just doesn’t make sense. Mr Soar I will be writing to you shortly to complain
