Booked a car through Carjet.com. It was cheaper than other competitiors. Picked the car at Europcar. It looks like Europcar use Carjet as a subsidiary. All seemed ok until returning the car.
a) Office closed, had to keep the car over the weekend or drive 40 miles to return it. The organisation did not seem bothered about the customer having to drive 40 miles and then arrange transport to return back.
b) Saw my credit card statement a week later to see I have been charged twice. This was followed by a similar transaction by Europcar.
c) Emailed Carjet.com - no response. Emailed Europcar - Their response - unable to use a coupon issued by Carjet.com and hence had to charge my card.
So in summay I am down by £350.
Moral of the experience: dont go for cheap companies like Carjet.com and Europcar. You pay a little more and get a better service.
