Disappointed
On the 18 January I received an email from Habitat saying 'Hurrah! Your item is back in stock'. The item was a vase I'd been waiting for for a while, so excitedly I placed my order immediately.
The order confirmation stated it could take 'up to 14 days for delivery', which seemed a long wait for an item in stock, but I was happy the vase was on its way.
14 days later .... NO vase, NO contact from Habitat! I phoned up Customer Services but was told I'd receive a call back, after they'd looked into things. NO call back. A day or two later, I again phoned up Habitat, and, after another long frustrating wait to speak to someone, was told it 'might' get delivered tomorrow. He sounded embarrassed and I strongly sensed he knew the vase was not coming tomorrow, or the day after that.
After I put the phone down, I received a tweet saying they were refunding me £29.95 (which would take 3-5 days) and admitted the 'Hurrah - it's in stock' email they sent me was 'not correct', and there was no stock.
What a waste of my time!
Habitat. A quick question. At what point were you going to contact me to tell me there was no stock?
