No so "Smart" meter.
The actual installation of the electric smart meter went well and the engineer was very attentive. However, a short while after the meter was activated, it caused the house electrics to trip the circuit breakers. This happened again after a reset.
A call to the support service by the engineer confirmed that the meter was not compatible with my consumer unit.
Surely this could have been determined before my time and the engineer's time was wasted in fitting this not very smart meter.
I would have been happy to provide a photo of my consumer unit and the old meter which was "smart" but no longer worked with the Shell system.
Left with one not so smart electric meter (gas meter not touched) and wondering what happens next. Still waiting for replies to my emails to Shell Energy.
