What has happened to the Club

What has happened to the Club? Ever since its name was change to Caravan and Motorhome Club members have had one unnecessary change after another - and all ultimately costing members, as they after all are the main payers of the Club. Trustpilot seems to be the only place members can leave critical comments as Club Together is censored and the Magazine is sycophantic. The latest fiasco is the new website which is dreadful. Why after decades are we now asked for date of birth? To fill in your date of birth you cannot just put in 6 numbers, you have to keep clicking back month by month over the years! I tried to book a site yesterday and was on the web for 90 minutes before I got on the website. Then an error message came up and I was stuffed. Remember the data you submit is personal information supposed stored on the cloud, but the way this website worked I would not be surprised if it were a hackers' dream. They say that the new pay before you go system is to prevent members cancelling, but a lot can happen in family life in a few days never mind 3 weeks. I have cancelled in the past on a number of occasions for vital reasons. This should be a club not a money making operation run by accountants and marketing people. Please, please revert to the previous website as soon as possible!

Hi Bill, The system we are now using is the same as our overseas travel system, which required Dates of birth. They are only being stored in your booking, they are not linking to your membership outside of this. The only dates we need accurately is the children nearing 18 or 5yrs old, for pricing reasons. Can I ask that you tell us what device you are using? there are some tricks for using the calendars depending on device and operating system.
We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience being caused with the implementation of our new booking system. Members and guests are able to make bookings through the new system however this is not the complete experience we have designed. ^ Jess
