Very solid customer service experience
Recently had an eye test and purchased some glasses. First the strengths of the visit. The eye test was excellent. The optician was very professional and knowledgeable, answering any questions I had. The experience of then choosing frames and lens was smooth, friendly and easy. Both these members of staff were excellent.
Second, the less positive aspects. The shop was extremely busy. The appointment was late by something like 15 minutes. When I asked about this, another member of staff, not the two already mentioned, responded defensively and without apology. Indeed, I got the impression that the store had overbooked appointments and was understaffed.
And the neutral aspects: glasses and lens are expensive, or they can be. I don't see Vision Express as being particularly price friendly but I also don't see them as being any less competitive than other high street opticians.
Overall, a constructive and positive experience. I'll use Vision Express again.
