I visited Vision Express in Brent Cross Shopping Centre

I visited Vision Express this past Sunday and had such a wonderful experience thanks to Victoria, unfortunately I forgot her surname. I thought I had written it down but I cannot find it. Victoria was absolutely superb, simply amazing from start to finish. She was incredibly helpful, patient and knowledgeable, and she made the whole process easy and enjoyable. Thanks to her advice and assistance I ended up choosing two pairs of glasses, which I am very happy with. We even had a lovely chat and I learned she is from Portugal. Please pass on my personal thanks to the lovely Victoria, she truly made my visit exceptional. Five stars without hesitation.

Take the prescription then order at online shops for a fraction of the price!

I had a Vision Express voucher for a free eye test and 30% off contact lenses with £50 spend. After I’d had the eye test they recommended contact lenses and said I was suitable for them, but then refused to let me setup the subscription whilst there to make me pay full price for both the test and the contact lenses.

Contact lenses and glasses are much cheaper at online shops - Their refusal to accept their own voucher which was issued to me has taught me not to feel pressured into buying glasses or contacts from Vision Express. I will however be looking for different opticians for myself and my family in the future as this is not the way to treat customers. They offer vouchers to draw you in and then they’ll refuse to accept them and take you for every penny they can.

Visited the Tesco Extra store due to a…

Visited the Tesco Extra store due to a problem with my eye after a recent cataract operation. The staff were extremely helpful and understanding of my concern and fitted me in to see the opthalmologist. He was excellent and gave my eye a thorough examination. He reassured me that it was a minor problem and sold me some drops to help with the healing. I couldn't have asked for better service and left feeling much better than when I went in. Thank you to them all.

Awful service

Had my eye test with them which was great. Ordered varifocals with their online website as they didn't have the one's I wanted instore. Glasses arrived but they were ordinary reading glasses and not my prescription varifocals. Took them to the store I had eye test at and they reordered the correct ones (I assumed). A week later, had a text to say they'd arrived at the store. Went to pick them up to find they were a completely different style than the one I'd ordered. I was told that the ones I ordered were out of stock, which is why I received different one. Rather an odd policy i replied. Staff weren't helpful and initially informed me that those were the ones I had ordered. I dug out the email confirmation with the correct ones. No apology from the staff just a shrug odf the shoulders.Definitely won't be returning.

Fantastic Experience at the Lichfield Branch

The Lichfield team are fantastic! Recently attended contact lens and sight test appointments. Optician, Hasan, super professional. Loved the handovers between colleagues - really nice touch. Lovely manager, sadly didn't catch their name, but she clearly sets a high standard and recently went above and beyond to personally resolve an issue with my contact lens subscription for which I was very grateful. Highly recommend the Lichfield branch and team!

Emma Fixed my Broken Glasses - No Fuss

Today, the arm of my glasses broke. I went to Specsavers in Grand Arcade in Cambridge to get replacement arms. But, they were unhelpful and wouldn't even try. I have been their customer since 1997.

I was told after an eyesight test I would have to wait 10 to 14 days for a new pair of glasses.

Frustrated, I went to a Vision Express store, also in Grand Arcade, Cambridge to ask for help.

A woman named Emma wanted to try and help me, even if the frame hinges design was different to their competitors. Regardless of the challenge ahead, she went above and beyond to help me.

After trying the arms of 6 different frames she finally found one that could work. This creating a Frankenstiens monster between two frames. Though, it's still a very good job and she provided excellent service.

I paid for the frames and she even fitted new mounts for to go over the nose.

I think around 30 to 45 minutes she spent trying to help me. This woman should get a raise for her level of customer service. I now have a functional pair of glasses to use for a while until I can get a new pair.

After today, I will be using the services of Vision Express. Clearly they offer a much better service than Specsavers who just wanted more money over maintaining customer relations.

We decided to use Vision express due to access & parking facilities.The service from start to finish was exceptional even with a quick home(phoned & had visit within 30 minutes) visit for our 92 year old father.
Charlene of Westwood branch in Tesco's dealt with our problem within minutes.She took the time to speak clearly & slowly to our father,showing him how to use his new audio glasses.Thank you Charlene.

Frames

Good service but disagree with policy of having to pay £70 to fit new lenses into frames previously purchased from them or buy new cheaper quality frames.if they can fit them into new frames for £50 why the extra

Easy Booking

Easy Booking, appointments on time. Both myself and partner same day. The Staff were great in all aspects from testing to choosing the Frames & the Lenses. Clearly showing the best options for each pair of glasses and clarifying the finances for everything. Great offer of 2 pairs of Frames and Lenses over 2 year 0% Interest.
Can't fault anything on Service. Perfect! Thank you Paul

I can’t get my money back & now they…

I can’t get my money back & now they keep trying to close my case within a short timeframe.
Now I don’t have my refund that was promised to arrive by last week & I don’t have my new glasses. I regret using vision express so much

Emergency appointment

I thought I had one of my contact lenses stuck in my eye and had hurt myself trying to get it out. I rang vision express and spoke to the optometrist who told me to go straight there and he’d have a look. He was brilliant. Reassured me it was out and that I had just damaged my eye trying to remove it and advised me on the best course of action.
