Overpriced and not boxed

Ordered a lovely overpriced mug for my friends birthday becausethe logo on it suited her personality. It took 3 weeks to arrive (which was after her birthday) and my main gripe is it wasn't even in a box. I sell mugs myself through my business so luckily had a box to put it in but I am shocked that any mug, especially one that's overpriced would arrive wrapped in bubble wrap only

When I contacted you on 12th you actually stated that you would have the order despatched the following week, as her birthday wasn't until the weekend I was optimistic that it would still arrive in time. You actually marked it as despatched on the Friday night but it wasn't collected by Royal Mail until the following Monday. Also, I don't recall your email offering a refund however I am aware of my consumer rights.

Thank you for updating your review. We would like to clarify a few points to ensure the timeline and details are accurately reflected.

Your order was placed on 5th December with a clearly stated delivery timeframe of up to three weeks, as the mugs were temporarily sold out and awaiting reprinting. The order was dispatched on 19th December, which was fully within the advertised delivery timeframe shown on the product page at the time of purchase.

When you contacted us on 11th December, we replied on 12th December to confirm that the order was expected to be dispatched the following week. At no point was delivery guaranteed for a specific weekend or birthday date. Your email advised that the item was required for Christmas, and in response to this we dispatched your order on 19th December and upgraded the shipment to a Tracked 24 service at no additional cost to help it arrive as quickly as possible.

Regarding packaging, the mugs are securely wrapped to ensure they arrive safely. They are not advertised or photographed as arriving in gift boxes, and gift packaging is only included where this is clearly shown and stated on the product listing. We’re sorry that this did not meet your personal expectations.
