Awful, miserable customer service Never again
I had a awful experience with a property called Fable Cottage in Bakewell. The property was very dirty, the hob didn't work, broken beds, dirty laundry and the bannister came way was I was walking up the stairs. This caused me to fall backwards and I sustained a bruise.This is dangerous. I immediately
contacted Booking.com, who have done nothing. They offered me a £20 refund on a property which cost £375, which I rejected. I have spent hours on the phone to the help desk based in the Philippines and sent numerous emails. No response. We stayed at the property on 17.11.2025
All photos were supplied, so the property couldn't deny the facts.
They have a duty to make sure their properties are safe. They are awful, please book with thier competition
