Took over 6 months to get the shipment
I am submitting this complaint regarding my extremely negative experience with Viamar and its associated partners.
From the outset, the company demonstrated serious internal disorganization and lack of communication. I was explicitly informed by Monica from Viamar that my account was fully paid and cleared. However, at a later stage, Domenic from the same company claimed that payment had not been completed and had to reconfirm internally with Monica. This reflects a troubling lack of coordination within the company.
Throughout the process, there were repeated disputes regarding unexpected and additional charges. I was assessed a “long-distance fee” under the claim that the moving truck would not be able to access my street. Prior to delivery, I provided multiple videos and photographs clearly showing that the truck could access the location without issue. Despite this documented evidence, I was told the charge could still apply.
On delivery day, the truck was parked directly across the street from my residence, confirming that the additional fee was unjustified. Nevertheless, I was required to pay the fee in order to obtain release of my belongings. This felt coercive, as my property was effectively being withheld pending additional payment.
The shipment took over six months to arrive. During this period, communication was inconsistent and accountability was lacking. Due to the prolonged delays and uncertainty regarding the status of my shipment, I was compelled to file a police report out of concern that I might never receive my belongings.
When my shipment finally arrived, a substantial portion of my furniture was damaged. The condition of the items suggests inadequate care during transport and handling. This has resulted in further financial loss, as repairs and replacements will now be necessary.
Overall, this experience has caused significant financial harm, stress, and inconvenience. The pattern of disorganization, unexplained additional fees, delayed delivery, and damaged goods reflects serious operational and customer service failures.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Viamar and would strongly caution others to proceed carefully before engaging their services.
